100% agree, all these comments on here about this being Foster’s fault etc. the truth is there’s only two or three ABs that could get into that French XV. There is a gap in class and it showed, it wasn’t really down to tactics. Sure ABs tried playing from deep, but against a team as good as France you’re always going to end up getting turned over or making a mistake.
AB's famous for comeback in last 20 minutes. I was disappointed in their effort. France took advantage, well done to them.

I was thinking the same thing! They used to be sooo clinical at the end!!! SA departing Super Rugby has taken a big hit on NZ rugby!! Big decline since the home Irish series defeat and haven't looked the same since! Never to be forgotten nor get complacent but they don't have the same 'comeback' factor these last few years! They used to putting their opponents under pressure, lately they've been put under pressure and can't seem to handle it
Previously you had superstar players who could swing the game but the ABs lack superstars in their forward pack. You cannot play expansive rugby behind a losing forward pack. The ABs play attacking rugby...and now they have to play defensively because of the forwards so they are like fish out of water. Its not bad coaching. It could be bad team selection but it could also just be a pool of players that aren't as good

We're relying on brilliant moments like Telea's tries, and we have a complicated high-skill game plan that means execution is incredibly difficult, especially against these rush defences. The team that executes their gameplan with the best cohesion wins. That's why South Africa are so dangerous. A simple, physicality-based game plan, very low error count because of this, can easily control tempo. New Zealand's lack of physicality in the 8 is the major concern. Retalick, Frizell and Lomax will be very welcome returns, but our starting 8 should have been playing the last 2 years together. Another unwanted Fozzy record today

Foster is clearly way in over his head. The team could do well without him at the helm. Maybe Joe Schmidt and Jason Ryan should take over reins for the remainder of the WC for the ABs. Fozzie is woefully out of his depth.
Scott Robertson is the next head coach. That was announced prior to the world cup by the NZRU. Sad for fozzie because that became a headline before the world cup team was even announced.

France like the Boks and Ireland in recent times when those teams match or dominate the ABs forwards they don't seem to handle the pressure. Leadership and key players don't stand up. For example why was Beauden Barrett still kicking tactically in the last 10 minutes of the game?
spot on....the ABs dont have the forwards to play expansive rugby with the backs. They lose a lot of ball to turnovers and they struggle in set pieces! There are no blockbuster forwards. No one really replaced players like Ritchie McCaw or Kieran Reid. The forwards are just flat. That is why they got welted by the Boks a few weeks ago.

SA not able to score a point in last 28 mins against Scotland. Their record win against the All Blacks needs to be put into better perspective. AB's are their worst enemy and if they can sort out the stupid errors and the poor discipline that's killing them, they'll be an absolute genuine threat. It's a big if... but it's the only thing standing in their way. If one team can bounce back in time with 10 days off before the QF'S it's them. Right them off as you may but there's a reason they're the greatest team in sporting history.

The AB's might want to win the RWC ... BUT ... Do they believe they can? I don't think so! I think the psycological impact of the last 2 big losses is huge on the players!
1. ABs on attack were not running with close support. So when tackled, they are loosing the ruck ball, or getting penalized for holding the ball.
2. Kicked away way too much possession. All night long…
3. Too many Knock-ons by the ABs.
4. Bad choice to scrum on half way when given that penalty. Should have kicked for touch and got the throw in, in better field position.
5. And I can’t believe Jordan just fell into the French jumper’s legs..
Overall though, I think the ABs are rolling on thinking they can out-skill the opposition. But to do that first need to have a methodical dominant physical forward game. Which at the moment the ABs haven’t really got. There is probably not one current NZ forward that would make a world XV. And it would be the first time in history that that would be the case.

@@greatwhite9428 Todays performance was bad from Beaudy. He's probably one of the first and most regular one to do the kick pass but his bombs today, just never worked. Will Jordan got carded because of one of his bombs and the French fullback was taking them all day. Beaudys better off running it, he's known for his speed but today he just kicked untill the last minutes of the game where he finally chose to run it and he got isolated, turnover, try to France.
Foster needs to learn to say "we lost" and stop making excuses, using stupid cliches...

Thanks to the performance of the referee NZ is lucky it didn't take more point in the face : forward pass leading to a try, diving in rucks, many penalty should have been given… and even if you don't agree with it, videos will pop out to show it anyway. AB got away with a lot of things, way more than France tbh. Stop blaming, accept it and move on.
