One thing I noticed is that 9/10, those who are not discreet about which org they want to join, end up joining something else. That never fails to blow my mind!

Good point. Which reminds me that I should have been more discreet about my love for the famous guys who I loved with all my heart. With my stupid self I just kept on pouring my out to my negative family about them & there were times that I got dragged down. Every time they done that I felt like a nobody. Like I was beneath those guys or something. That hurt me so bad. Now I decided to make some discreet boundaries, which that what I should have done years ago. Great video.
I've watched a few videos about discretion but this is by far the most coherent video on discretion! You broke everything down and it made 100% sense! I will take this advice with me 😉

The rule of thumb is to just don't start talking everytime. Be very conscious and Just hold yourself back and give yourself time to listen more! Give short and precise answers. Nobody cares in the corporate world.

Why is everything so secretive? I just don’t think it’s bad to talk about your process to potential candidates. it can help weed out people who don’t want to do it.
Like even just vague knowledge like obviously you don’t have to go into detail but just letting people know kinda what to expect is not that bad.
It is important to keep “your” process to yourself because it’s “your” business. Everyone does not need to know what you’ve been through because that’s when people start doing the most to prove a point. In my opinion, practicing discretion actually makes things safer because if I don’t know what you did, I don’t feel the need to one up you to prove something. That’s on you, your line, and the people who brought you in.
Further, every process isn’t the same. What happened with me isn’t what the next person will go through. It’s not like we don’t have one-on-one conversations with prospects .. that’s what the events are for. However, if I’m finding out you’re interested from a third party ... that’s not a good look.

Google discrete and then google discreet. Discreet is actually the correct form lol so see, it trips all of us up .. but it’s REALLY not that deep.
