Great timing, my exams are near and one of the topics of my syllabus is Iron deficiency anemia. Now it would be easy to understand faster by 👀 watching this video.
Woohooo. I love when that happens, Shweta. All the best on your exams. Let me know how it goes.
@@InteractiveBiology Thank you sir and I will definitely tell about how my exam went. And truth be told, your video gave more details about this topic compared to my professor's lecture.
Awesome. I always find that it's helpful to go a little deeper than what your professor wants because that helps to give you a deeper understanding.
Wow, I forgot I once commented on this video 😅, well this topic was not in my question paper.
my exams went well and I got good marks in all papers. 🎉
this topic is so much confusing but you made it easy.

Where does the rbc go if the rbc are decreased
All cells die and get replaced over time with new cells. That helps to keep the body going. Red blood cells live for 120 days and need to be replenished. If fewer are produced, there will be fewer in circulation.
How much should you take if your iron deficiency and anemia
That's a question for your doctor.
I had very heavy periods, along with big blood clots. My hemoglobin was 7. Was put on Iron supplements..supplements did help somewhat but I was bleeding nonstop for months. I ended up having Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia..so the best option was robotic hysterectomy..my surgery was on 6.26.23 ..I feel SO much better. No more periods!!! Thank u for this info about Anemia..hopeful I don't get this again.
Wow, I can't imagine how challenging that was to deal with. But I'm glad you were able to get it resolved. And glad you found the content helpful. Make sure to subscribe to the channel, because I have a lot more content like this coming to help you understand how the human body works.
@@InteractiveBiology Can 2 to 3 days period a month be a sign of low iron?
@@oceanelamoureux5951 sounds like you have an irregular period and there could be many reasons. .. try eating more fat. All hormones involved in menstruation cycle are made from fats and you may be deficient. Low sugar and carbs , plus more fat and red meat... if you are a vegetarian try things with omega 3s hemp, chia, and flax seeds. There are certain things we need from animal fat
Check out Dr Mindy on CZcams.. she has a whole series of videos on how to eat to promote healthy flow. Some women are so deficient in fats that they don't get a period at all - and I not talking about menopausal women.
@oceanelamoureux5951 It is possible that you are deficient in fat. Some premenopausal women actually have no period because they are deficient in fat. Fat is required to make the hormones that regulate your menstrual cycle.
Check out Dr Mindy on CZcams. She has a whole series on how to eat for your cycle and how to balance your hormones for healthy flow.
If you are vegetarian, increase intake of omega 3's with flax, Chia, and hemp seeds.
Cut out sugar and carbs. Increase your animal fat specifically red meats if you don't have any dietary restrictions.
