Interesting. I bought an ipad pro. These features were ripped from android apps from 10 years ago. Ipad has them more seemlessly designed into the system. But none of them were created at apple. I am enjoying the ipad, now that it has type c usb. Its the first apple product I have bought. Just catching up on mechanics.
One thing I love about Scribble is being able to scribble over something I wrote to erase it. I turned off the double-tap to switch tools feature because there were too many times I would adjust my grip on the pencil, continue writing only to discover I was now erasing things. I use Good Notes for so many things and I simply got used to tapping the eraser icon at the top, then tap the pen icon to continue. Now I can just scribble over something I want to change; speed and efficiency!
I use spotlight on a daily basis to keep my Home Screen clutter free. But I didn’t realize it did all that. So cool!
Question: When you make a typing mistake, the ipad/iphone will mark it as red. But at the same time, when you tap the marked word, it will select the whole word. , in an attempt to “correct” it. Sometimes ios doesn’t find the right ‘corrected’ word though. The word is still “selected” as a whole. How do I go to a section of the marked word, without having to delete the whole word? Because tapping it will usually open the text selection tool
Hey, gr8 tips; love my iPad .. gotta update soon. Ditching desktop in favour of phone & tablet. Always wondered how screenshot on new iPads without Home button. Scan tip cool too.

I'm used Spotlight calc for a while - it's not convenient. So i ended up with PCalc Light - it's free, have no ads, and looks like very similar to iPhone calculator. Thank god they added weather app for iPad.
Hey Simon! Very exciting and informative video, at least for those who are already familiar with icons and widgets etc. Personally, I need the "iPad for iDiots" version, wherever it may be. I have no idea where the "Globe" icon is, (or is that a "widget?"). I have a personal issue tat you may be able to help with: I am a musician and just bought an iPad with the intent of switching from the LyricPad music program to the SongbookPro program, which the rest of my band mates use. I already have the lyrics typed in normal text form and believe I could change those files to PDF files if necessary. My problem is to find a way to move both text and audio files to the locations needed to utilize them in the iPad SongbookPro program. The needed files are currently in my Mac computer. I guess I could move or import them one at a time, but it will certainly be time consuming. Any ideas? I'd really appreciate it.
If you hold space bar to move through you’re texts you (on iPad) can also tap shift or delete while holding the space bar and slide, now you can delete large amounts of texts quick:)
Please, would you explane how tonget the numbers raw fixed to the keyboard! I cant find the way to change my onscreen keyboard to 5 raws

I have a new IPad and tried the system wide gestures several times and nothing happened, do I have to prepare by going to settings ect

I am a new subscriber and have really enjoyed your secret tips for the iPad. I have a question that is not related to the video. I got a glimpse of your calendar when you were talking about the Stage Manager, which is something I need to check out for working with my GoodNotes planned. I Saw that you have color blocks for your events. We had that capability several years ago but I can’t do it now except for the all day event. I have both a GEN seven engine 10 iPad both running 16.3.1 and a MacBook Pro, running Monterey (I teach Digital Scrapbook in and cannot upgrade to Ventura because it will not run on Ventura).
My question is…. how do you get the color blocking! Are you running I-Cal or an app that does that, or something else entirely. I looks like I-Cal. I would appreciate any help you can give. I am in the US, not EU, if that makes any difference. Thanks!
Ah OK - Yes - the calendar app is actually Google calendar - think that offers the colour blocks - but you could do the same in iCal by creating multiple calendars. Thanks for watching :)

What is the Globe key as in Globe-C? I am in the US. Some one said it command-C but iPads don’t have a cmd key

Swiping left/right with 4 fingers lets you switch between open apps without going to the app switcher view

Does your ipad have a screen protector? I want to enjoy the specs of my ipad at the same time I don’t want to have it scratched.
It doesn’t but paperlike looks fab.
I have a 5th Gen iPad Pro and stage manager with resizing each window and moving them about is working (iPadOS17.02). Also you don’t hold the Globe Key, you hold the Cmd Key.
Yep - this was an update on iPadOS 17 - you can now resize more flexibly and also add windows holding command :)

I think you can swipe down from top in a certain way? … but maybe that is a settings thing or if a keyboard is connected?

@@BetterCreating Ok.. here is a list of apps I plan to use.. Fender Play, its a guitar lessons app with human instructors created by Fender.. Gibson Guitar lessons app, Fender Tone, a app that allows you to change, edit and create effects and preset on my Fender GTX guitar amp.. Marshall Gateway, does the same thing as the Fender tone but for Marshall Code 25 and 50 watt amps.. The Spark app, an app for the Positive Grid Spark modeling amp.. Katana Librarian and the Katana Air app, apps for the Boss Katana MKII guitar amps.. Mantis from the Laser Academy, an app used to dry fire indoor target practicing, this app utilizes the camera to stare and targets and keep score, and finally, Final Cut Pro... I have it on my mac mini but apparently I have to get another copy for the tablet.. so based on all of this, which would you go with, the 12.9 or the 11?

I used to - but now I tend to use it mostly for image and visual editing so use the pencil mostly.

Hi Luke - no, it’s not a con! As per my comments in the videos, and on the download page: there is a guide video linked to show how the customisation hack on iOS works, and a disclaimer on the website saying that icons design on iOS is not plug and play and involve you building quick shortcuts for adding the icons. The icons being sold are all of the icon designs, and widget templates. I’m pretty happy this is communicated across the sales pages and the videos based on the number of sales and feedback. But if you need any further directions you can find the guide video to customising linked on my website where you downloaded. :) thanks for downloading, and enjoy the icon designs. 👍

We should be able to move the "scribble" window and slide it around so it isn't always on the absolute VERY BOTTOM where we all would haveflipped the page and started writing at the top of a new page!

2018 IPad Pro 12.9” - if you can - get an M1 chip model up if you are getting an iPad as it will allow for newest features such as desktop external monitor support etc. :)
