70's & older drag cars with 2020 technology is good and all..... but '70s and older drag cars with oldschol 70's drag technology is something else to watch! Just something about older 70s cars with manual trans, bangin through gears!
Great job with this video. Fabulous sound or useless commentating. Loved those wheelies. These races are much more exciting than contemporary drags. Plus, you show the times and speeds that's a huge benefit - people want to know who wins & their times. Keep up the outstanding video presentations.
This is real drag racing. Old school is exciting, and I just love those classic muscle cars. They are the best looking cars that Detroit has ever made.
I liked the mindset of the second race… dude had a 77 camaro and like everyone he thought the front end was hideous, so he put a 70 1/2 front end on it. Kudos to you sir!
Thank you who ever sent me this. My favorite times were having my 41 Willy's, my 48 fiat toppling, and my 37 chevy coupe.at the nostalgia drags. Big Al Lombardo
I lived on the west side of Chicago till the early 70's. We had Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. And he had some classics. Distributor curbed and power tuned. Dyno timed and analyzed. Carburetor calibrated. Sun scoped set to go. I'm 68+ years old and remember the commercials like it was yesterday. Any other west siders out there?
I had them both I had 7 ..57 at one time had a 64 Malibu you couldn't put nothing else in it it come off the ground every time you shove it bring back memories watching these boys
Feed my addiction! Been hooked on that V8 sound since I was three years old and my father took me on one of his drag races in his '67 327 Chevelle w/ a M22 transmission. I was amazed at how quick he could run through the gears and when I asked him how he did it, he told me he just never lets his foot off the gas and just tapped the clutch as he "threw" the gear lever. Once I grew old enough to race we lined up (me in my '67 Mustang fastback and him in a '87 Hurst Olds) and, while I got him on the hole shot, he out shifted me and won.
omg....THAT FIRST CAMARO WAS AWESOME 😁💖 GREAT VIDEO-LOVE IT 👍! I grew up near a Dragstrip....the owner would let me use it when there were no races....The first time I drove up it in my Mustang Mach 1 I almost couldnt get stopped at the end of the strip!! So much fun 😂
LOVE some of the old skool funny cars and from the 60's to the 90's style of models of vehicles even the vintage cars aswell from c/t models aswell love the drag race to the drifting aswell mostly that kind sports and wrestling don't forget wrestling and grid iron only 3 sports like watching ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank for the video ,been more years than i care to remember since I ran that track. Byron, Oswego ,Lake Geneva, Bobby Joe Speedway ,Meadowdale Speedway . Im still a gearhead today fifty years later.
@@AutoMotoCha9L Exactly! There's always a faster car but I've seen few that launch as hard and straight as that Chevy II with that much "finesse." Respect to the driver too.
@@JEANSDEMARCO those were the days . . . I miss them as well as my 62' Ford Galaxie 500 XL 406 cu in 2 deuces 4 speed hurst . . . even though the front bumper weighed 500 pounds
Yes that 1967 Chevy red Nova has a badass that little car and the driver know both doing great car/// and you're right wheel stand or no stand// and he'shis focusing to win ( that's it )👍💵🤗
It's all about the numbers, but yes I agree V8, , high compression , lean fuel mixture maximum air flow , that's thur eng/ and over/around body of the car of choice (super bird for me please lol)

I love those long, smooth take -offs with the nose in the air. Thats just graceful show of speed and power in my book.
I'm with you on that
Shows these cats can drive, wheels up, stay'in in their lane, letting her down easy. Love it!
The red nova is bad ass! With a great driver. 😎👍
Nice car!

I've run out of superlatives, great video, thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Thanks for posting.

The black 67 or 68 Camaro is awesome. I’ve always loved drag racing. I turned 16 in 1973 it was an awesome time. I really miss those days. 😎
You can always tell a 67 to a 68 cuz the 68 has lights in the fenders no lights in the 67's!!!
Good times
