    I am getting back into training with the aim to to do some shows soon. I've not wrestled in about 3 years, and it's about 9 years since I was regularly active around local feds. These videos are brilliant as a reminder on how and why we do it a specific way, but I'm also learning new little tips that will come in handy.
    I like how these don't talk down to trainees and people looking at getting into the sport. The wrestling world is full of self hype and egos, even in small training academies, so it's great to see these videos presented in such a cool, down to earth manner.

  • @twoheadeddatascientist3289

    Thank you for your lovely video. What a time to be alive with EVERYTHING been taught online. Obviously the more one practices the better they become. And injuries can happen say if the ring mat, where the palm of the hand touches, becomes slippery. Wrestling is a tough sport:).

      I do amateur wrestling in my spare time, I’ve loved wrestling all my life and it’s something I always wanted to do. I’m not particularly in shape physique wise but you definitely need stamina. I’m about 6ft 2 and slim so slamming a heavier opponent can occasionally be a challenge but once you’re into a match and the adrenaline rises it becomes less of an issue. I’ve never had problem with being thrown over the ropes but it did hurt at first before I got comfortable doing it

    SOB! My Trainer taught me wrong! Thanks for this cause the way I was taught I had so many accidents going over it wasn't funny. Okay that I went to go over the top rope one time my left leg got caught between the top and second rope during a Pre show Battle Royal was kinda funny

    • @SantinoBros
      @SantinoBros  Před rokem +3

      There are many different ways to teach a move, maybe not wrong just different. Although safety is always key.

    • @TheRyanMelrose
      @TheRyanMelrose Před rokem

      @@SantinoBros Yeah that’s true I started at IPW Australia trained by Pete The Hawk Ball he more or less taught old school wrestling and yeah some of the moves were different and he hated over planning a match a lot of the time it was work on the fly you pretty much knew who won that was it everything else improvised feel it out work your way to it! mind you not a bad skill to have I find you never get lost in a match that way. Anyway getting off topic. when some of us moved on to other promotions made it hard to wrestle for them. But hey look how far Toni Storm went I wrestled her in my first match in IPW. Only now IPW teaches modern again thanks for this tip had the chance to try it on my lowboy Ring I find it much smoother and quicker ! The way I was shown as you went over you grabbed the second rope which I think is bad for two reasons 1 like I said chances of getting your leg caught increase and you hit hard edge of the ring. I’ll keep working on those who knows maybe then I can add spring board moves to my arsenal
