Oklahoma City Police Officer Shoots at Woman Faking Gun

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - On May 5, 2024, Oklahoma City Police Officers responded to 3108 NW 61st St. in reference to a domestic where a female shot a male in the chest. When officers arrived, they located the adult male victim in the front of the house and moved him to a safe location to receive medical assistance. Officers called for the female suspect, identified as 61-year-old Lisa Daniels, to exit the home. The suspect yelled to the officers she had a gun. Officers got into a position of cover outside of the residence. Daniels exited the home minutes later with a sweater over her hand making motions as if she had a gun in her hand.
Daniels began to approach an officer while raising her hand when the officer discharged his firearm toward her. Daniels was not struck by the officer’s gunfire. As the suspect turned, officers were able to determine she did not have a gun under the sweater and were able to successfully tase her. Daniels was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center for domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim who was shot was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive. The involved officer has been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. There were no other injuries reported.

Why need it?
Oklahoma CITY PD, in this incident "lucky charms" rule the day! Deliberate missed shots, back in the day we call it "make'm dance" shots exposed this suspect's true intentions (suicide by cop). However, you will notice the officers of this city don't want an OIS, the why is obvious, nobody wants to get hung by a blue governed DA who will look for a crime to indict a cop for a justified shooting of a criminal. The DA in this area love their murderous criminals. This is why cops will do all they can to NOT shoot and armed suspect whether real or not, they qualify at the shooting range, but they will intentionally miss their shots even though they are legally justified under the color of law. Prove me wrong, remember this is blue gov city of Oklahoma City, not Tulsa or any other city in Oklahoma.

@SixSonn, the Officers were expecting the real thing as the call came in as, "A woman just shot a man in the chest." The male victim was found in the home and pulled to safety. That's what the description says. Idk what the circumstance was but I'd say that since she didn't actually bring a real gun out there waving it, she's lucky they didn't mag-dump her.

My county deputies go to the same shooting range as I do. The pistol range sounds like a war zone. Their practice is emptying the gun as fast as they can.
