Sparks, Nevada - On March 29, 2024, at approximately 1:39 p.m. a Sparks police officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Greenbrae drive on a Ford Expedition with no license plates. As the officer approached the driver's side window of the vehicle, the driver produced a handgun and shot through the window at the officer, striking our officer in the shoulder. The vehicle then fled the scene and crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Greenbrae and Rock boulevard. At that time, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled that scene on foot. Officers in dispatch received information of a subject jumping fences in the 1400 blocks of Greenbrae drive And prospect avenue officers from Spark's police, Reno Police and the Washoe county sheriff's office began checking the area on foot.
Further information reported that the subject had entered an occupied residence and was driven out of the residence by that resident. Officers checked another address that the subject was reported to have entered. An elderly female resident, answered the door and dropped to the floor. At which time the subject began firing at officers from inside the home, striking a Washoe county deputy. The deputy and the female were pulled from the scene by other officers while they were taking fire. At the same time, a second Sparks police officer was struck by gunfire from the subject, and he was able to self evacuate from the area. The subject involved in this incident exited that residence and entered a different home occupied by a different elderly female resident. The female hid from this subject in her home.
The subject entered the backyard of that resident and began firing towards officers in the area. While the subject was in the backyard, officers were able to assist the female in that residence in exiting from her home. Shortly thereafter, the subject reentered her home and barricaded within the home. SWAT and negotiator teams from all three agencies negotiated with the suspect for several hours, while various tactics were deployed in hopes of the subject's, surrendering and exiting on several occasions. The subject opened fire and officers did return fire. Just after 10 p.m., entry was made into the residents, and the subject was located and determined to be deceased. The subject was identified as 34-year-old Anthony Wade. Wade had a .40 caliber, semiautomatic handgun, with an extended magazine. The two Sparks police officers and one Washoe county deputy were treated and released for their injuries.

These guys make Chicago cops look like fumbling 2 year olds...
After watching probably over 1,000 vids on this/other channels, I've noticed a pattern that officers from the midwest and southwest seem to have the most proficient firearm/tactical skills (on average). Officers from big coastal/urban cities like NY, LA, Chicago seem to have poorer firearm skills, and seem to panic and act more chaotic in situations. Perhaps there is a higher proportion of veterans living in more rural/flyover parts of America? Or perhaps more experience and comfort with firearms from a younger age? Or perhaps more traditional family structures? For example, I'd say 80% of Phoenix PD shootings I've seen are well handled (good aim, minimal panic, solid comms). Whereas probably 80% of NYPD shootings have terrible aim, mag dumping, falling over, screaming, panic, crossfire and awful comms.
Chicago Police officers on average are very young. There was a mass exodus of Chicago cops during Covid due to crazy policies.

That was not the definition of insanity.
Quoting a 12 year old video game to sound smart is insane
@@JaceB-tf3vf😂😂😂😂😂 I agree
@@JaceB-tf3vf one of the best games ever ngl
The number of times the officer's gear was struck by gunfire is scary and accurate, the suspect was. Also, the gear probably is the reason they all survived. Plus divine intervention.
Nah bruh they probably lose 8 ranked match in a row which explains their luck
That officer #4 has some balls of steel as he jumped right into the line of fire in the doorway while spraying some bullets back at the perp, and immediately drags the victim out of harms way.
Excellent work by all 3 agencies. You guys saved that woman’s life. Thank you to all Leo’s for everything you do to keep us safe. God bless you all.
The amount of close calls on this case is insane.
Sparks PD has a bunch of fucking studs on their department
the usual suspect, terrorizing an entire neighborhood.
Not easy finding a picture though. Had to hunt for it.
Regular one right??
Chocolate?

I can't seem to find a comment of yours on the Harris County video. Care to explain your absence?
@@complexblackness care to kiss my ass?
Damn, that $120 Streamlight took a round and kept functioning.
How can you tell it's a streamlight?
@@onemoresmartone I have some Streamlights. You can tell it's a Streamlight from the design of the light head.
They make great lights. I dropped that same light, protac hlx, off 13 stories onto gravel and it was still on when I retrieved it. Dropped it off tanker trucks onto concrete many times and it is still running with the same rechargeable battery.
@@Swishersweetcigarilo Yeah, I've got lights from Streamlight, Cloud Defensive and Surefire, and they're all great lights, but the Clouds and Surefires are much more expensive. The Streamlights are a very good value.
Streamlight > Surefire
Streamlight ...saves it at the buzzer!!!
First officer was slowly going into shock but what a beast.
Sparks NV has some upper echelon officers. The first officer said he was hit, yet he still advanced towards harm's way. Second set of officers walk up to a door and receive fire within the house and pull the woman away from danger all the while taking fire and getting hit themselves. SWAT makes entry and then also receives fire before they neutralize the suspect. Thank you to every Police Officer who was involved in this, and to all who risk their lives like this every day.
Media can’t complain about this one
I'm sure they'll still try.
If there is a press conference by the family, they will air without these videos.
yes they can lol, they’ll twist any story to help push their divisive narrative
Having suppressors on duty weapons is so based
I noticed how casual the officer is as he walks up to the driver. Gotta have your hand on the holster ready to draw.
It was so close to lights out for him. Even knowing what was going to happen, the first time I saw this video it was shocking how fast it escalated.
The bullet catch on the flash and ear protection is wild.
Agreed
That first cop is a rock star! He was hit and realising the potential dangers to other innocent citizens actively pursued the perpetrator while help arrived.
Those cops are real, getting shot in the head, neck and the shoulder then run after the suspect, the other officer enter the door way, shot at the suspect, taking fire and pull the hostage out and the female officer pull the hostage without a gun trusting her fellow officers are protecting her back.
Congrats for this level of professionality and dedication.
.
He has to be a military? Holy shit.
This department is really well trained, a group of chads for sure
Can confirm. I’ve trained with both Washoe and sparks. Absolute professionals
U will always sound like a creep using the word “chad” and that’s a fact.
Well funded too by the looks of their equipment
Crazy, this is near where i live. Never knew that this happened. Glad to know the police in my area will put themselves in between us and the bad guys to keep us safe. Glad no officers were critically wounded.
Crazy right!! There was an entire hostage standoff in my neighborhood and I hadn't heard a peek, so I know that feeling...the kids told us..the " Army came and got chad!!" Is how we found out!🤔
The amount of times he hit those officers with no serious injuries is crazy
