  • 3 years later and finally back with another video! Since the release of the Fallout TV series, I and many other Fallout fans, new and old, have either started or restarted Fallout 76. I was one of those that had a fresh start, and I've been having a pretty good time with it. So I thought, why not try the additional paid content and membership, both ballsy things to add to what was a full priced game at launch. How good is that extra paid content? Well... not great.

2:00 - Where I begin talking about Fallout 1st and The Atomic Shop specifically, for those as impatient as I usually am. Thanks for watching

The ammo box as well as the scrap box doesn’t use up space in your stash

I do understand the purpose, and obviously it’s nice to not weigh your stash down with more things that could be put elsewhere. I just think it’s not that useful, unless you’re actively using missile launchers or a Fat Man. Has a use, I just don’t think it’s that important given most players will end up using a smaller group of weapons they have perks for and that ammo will be used. I’m only a couple levels over level 50 though, I can see really high level players with a wide collection of weapons they constantly rotate benefitting from a designated ammo dump. I made this video mostly from the viewpoint of a somewhat new player, due to the large influx of new players coming from the Fallout show

You do know that in the beginning there were a LOT less in 1st right? Also, the main reason for th 1st is for people that have been playing and NEED alternatives to continue to play. The ammo box is super useful! I have thousands of each ammo. I loot all near by corpses and always pick up ammo for other weapons. What level are you now?

The atoms are useful but thats about it, considering you get $16 worth per month

    "what does $60 get you?"
    I dunno. Laughed at?
I'm a lv 500 player, and I haven't spent a penny on the game other than my gamepass subscription.

Yeah, definitely not wrong about that. I wanted to give both Fallout 1st and The Atomic Shop a chance, dropped the money on the “best” stuff available after having a pretty good time with the game to see how much it’d benefit my already decent experience. But yeah, not worth the money. Luckily for me dropping the $60 wasn’t really an issue, but for some it could be something they’re considering to get “useful” stuff that alleviates some of the grind. Made this video after a few days of trying everything out to just quickly give an opinion on whether dropping that kind of money is worth the difference it could make. Like I said in the summary, it’s all minor conveniences

Also, out of curiosity, how does the game change for you at that level? What are you logging in to do? I imagine you’ve got a lot of the best gear and you’ve seen most content the game has at that point

@@DXE2K Well, I'm a builder, so I've always git a new camp or shelter build idea to experiment with. That's one of the best things about the game, if I'm honest.
Other than that, I'm just playing around with builds: I'm currently working on getting the last two pieces of Unyielding Secret Service so I can experiment with a Bloodied black powder Rifleman build that I know won't be meta, but could be hysterical, and will hopefully force me to play completely differently.

I haven’t been able to fully wrap my head around builds yet. Currently just got a Power armor focused build using rifles. Does the job but by no means optimised, Gattling Plasma and Gauss rifle are carrying me through. But I’m only level 50 and I’m sure things change when you multiply that by 10. I love the building but the vanilla options seem so dull. The enclave building pack is actually what got me into buying atomic shop stuff because it actually looked decent. If you decide to pick up CZcams at any point, upload your builds, would love to see them. Or, if you’re on PS, my PSN is DXE2K. Could do a video showing how a high level player builds their Camps. If you’re on Xbox or PC though, thanks for the comments. If you’ve got any tips for newer players, feel free to post em here. Will make a video about it and credit the tips to you if you’d be down to do that. Otherwise, thanks for watching my video, always appreciated. Happy gaming to you
