I actually planned on making a free resource camp near the starting locations to help new players out. All resources, all arcade and workout machines that give buffs, and all work benches for free. Was thinking of building it across the overseer's camp. And possibly selling free starter weapons and armor. And cheap chems and stims (mainly because i hoard them).
I have set up a free stuff camp just before the bridge to the wayward and overseer camp, also sell cheap plans that are common drops.
Did you ever do it or just planned to?

The vintage water cooler is also unique as it can be placed anywhere - other purified water producers need to be placed in water or on real soil to work (farmable dirt tiles won't do). So it's useful if your camp is on a rock without soil.
Well, I have the plans unlocked but cannot get to place it anywhere - I do not know why.

😭me too! I’m like level 90, but I grinded FO76 for the last 2 weeks and went from level 10 to that. So even though it’s a high level, the truth is that I am a level 20 heart
Slocum Joe's Coffee Machine is an underrated item to have. I contacted customer support and put in a ticket to get it for 500 atoms out of my account. It generates the coffee which restores AP (about as much as the base character uses to run, very good for sprinting long distances). As a good amount of people playing use vats which uses AP, having this item that basically gives you stackable free AP every time you play is a godsend. (I also steal coffee from other player camps so be sure to lock it or else a guy like me will come along ;3 ).
If it’s not locked it’s not stealing. I keep all mine unlocked and consider it all available to anyone. Just being neighborly.

I thank you for that. I missed out on a lot of good items and was wondering when they would bring it back and noticed it was in the shop last week.
Personally, I prefer the chickens to the brahmin. They produce more fertiliser and don't get killed every 5 minutes by a stiff breeze. You can also put them inside your house because they don't have to be placed on dirt. I don't use brahmin milk for anything, so the cow is just inconvenient to me.
7:06 I agree that Twist is the best in general, but if you have Leo Petrov as your Ally and are trying to level up, Cranberry is the best.
For resource extractor I’m pretty sure you will need to take over a workshop in order to learn how to build the resource extractor unless they changed it.
I believe I've built camp with resource extractors on a fresh twink made 3 months ago straight out of vault and haven't taken over any of the workshops before building.
Nope, as long as you find a location that can have a specific extractor placed, you can place it. No workshops, no plans. I've helped new players look for camps with resources so they could get a headstart with collecting materials and they can build it right away, been doing that for years.

I think that the Morbid Well Collector is a Fallout 1st item and not an Atomic Shop exclusive. Correct me if I'm wrong. Collectors are pretty much the only thing I buy outside of my characters' themes in the Atomic shop. I don't own the Morbid Well on any account.

I’d like to see a video on the full uses and effects of the Candies from the machines and Treat Bags. I have loads of them and I’m sure there’s a benefit to them that I’m not quite seeing.
So they seem pretty useless and my machine is full if anyone wants to stop by and help themselves. lol

There is also water well. Purchased for gold bullion.
What makes it better than other dirty water sources is that you don't get rads when you get water from it and glitch spam works on it.
The downside is that you can only place it on dirt.
The raider bullion vendor has the nuka candy and popcorn machines. Wood pile too
It has the wood pile and the popcorn machine unless I'm blind, the only nuka item is the nuka cola mystery machine which gives 1 random nuka cola per 15 caps

The milk machine and popcorn machine can work at the same time. It appears that it may be the order of placement. Also, the Milk runs off electricity the same way as lights. I have used both in 5 different camps.

I have a cement truck, making concrete, butterfly cage / moth cage produce acid. visitor tea machine makes tea, i think there is a coffee machine, too at Vault 79. There is a cookie pot, creating food, a boiler, creating cooked water, and some stuff more. But i am a year after this video, so, i am far away from the available stuff at the time of record.
there is also Mothman nest for mothman eggs, butterfly nest for acid and birthdaycake for cake.
the water coolers are from the holiday scorched, not from treasure hunters

We need a resource collector for oil. The Nuke launcher is amazing but ammo is a pain!!!
Well we technically do. There are oil seeps where you can place one of those resource extractors.
Cutting fluid recipe used to be a pain to get (only had a chance to get it at one point of the Wasterlander questline), but recently popped up in Mutated party packs. If can be used to produce oil from common materials.

I was wondering if you would consider making a video of, or point to some video/article explaining how it works with gold bullion items nowadays being droppable by legendary enemies. I've asked on reddit and not gotten a straight answer. A bloatfly dropped me a secret service armor piece, and that wasn't possible some months ago. I'm wondering which items have had this change. And if they're all still untradable.
yes it's new everything with exception of v94 items can drop now from enemies if you know the plan
I think that the recharger was on the Pitt DLC man
Also, items from the previous Brotherhood DLC (like the Brotherhood Tower) popped up in the Atom Shop after the Pitt DLC went live.
Speaking of resources. Not sure if someone has a recent one or good one out there but most of the time players are doing Lode Baring Event wrong lol. I see people chasing the ore on the walls but dont bother with the miners or excavator power armor. I get playing it passively and sitting outside but if you are going for resources then A. use excavator armor without any weapon equipped and B. loot the chests on the ground from all the drilling from all 3 miners active. You reap way more benefits from keeping them going and if everyone works together you can still get the ore on the walls.
I think you missed the tree that collects sap that can be made into glue? I don't have it - was part of the tree house bundle I think? I just bought the cool tree house.
only reason the brahmin milk machine is bothering me is because they add it to the atom shop briefly and now its not available! Bethesda no longer let you buy things through their ticketing system unless its in their predefined list of items, and the milk machine isn't there.
Just bring it back so I can buy it!!!!
I don't like the selective nature of it. They just pick and choose. Yes, older vets will always say, "don't cheapen the product," but a brahmin milk machine? A source you can also get by placing a brahmin in your camp? This is them just being petty and wanting to have that rare. I would like to place a brahmin milk source, by not having to build a place for a brahmin to be (to make sense in the camp a little). So the machine is perfect. And I can't purchase it.
@@carenthusiast9255 I hear you. The brahmin storing and re-milking trick still works on pc but its unreliable. I'll cop a paywall but waiting around for a useful resource item to come back to the shop is jarring for a first member.

I love when I find a camp with all the stuff out there like you have and none of it locked, helps me out so much. I always make sure to go back and browse their vendor for anything usefull. It seems the people that love to put out all the free helpful things you have also have the better prices. The guys with all that stuff locked are the guys also charging 1500 caps for freaking tinker table plans and such!

best free resources, near location resources like streams and places with plants. Also locations that are near spots where you can loot houses, enemies fields and such.
The coffee machine, turbo-fert collector, and the Nuka-Cola collectron are very useful

You're missing the Brotherhood of Steel Collectron. I don't believe that's available by any means anymore. And some of the Collectrons that were once scoreboard items are now only gold bouillon items. You didn't mention that in the video.

Two questions: 1) why don’t you like the chicken coop? It produces twice the amount of fertilizer than the Brahmin setup. 2) What are the effects of Nuka Cola & Quantum candies? “A mystery in every bite” doesn’t tell one much…
Quantum candies only increase charisma by 2 i think, while nuka candies give a random small buff
Chicken coop isn't necessarily bad, but the other one that produces fertilizer also produces brahmin milk, which restores radiation and health a little bit, but if it spoils it can also be an easy way to get rads (20 rads a believe).

Beehive can get from sam in foundation, and gotta respectfully disagree on the the chicken coop verdict, if making plants for daily challenge or explosives to sell is good for en masse production of fertiliser. Otherwise yeah agreed lol

The dressing station is amazing. I’m not a big food guy, but now the only food I carry is grilled ragstag. And it fills fast, so I’m always at +50 carry capacity.

I missed out on the popcorn maker because of the way that challenge was screwed up big time. Quit playing for a while and because they had got rid of the forums, I didn't see the notice they had fixed and extended the event. I don't use Facebook or Twitter so there was no way for me to hear about.

I normally just kill the assault, Tron Saratoga on the sidewalk you know there’s like four or five over there every time I go to Watoga I just clean up those this old friends and grab all the aluminum off of them is that sometimes the other robots have aluminum too, but it’s all trans. The problem with resource collectors is that you have to manually harvest them. Really annoying to constantly jump between your camp and other places. Would be much better if all the resources were automatically stashed when the collector max limit is reached.
A black titanium extractor in my cam0 fills up in 30 minutes
Making a trip home 30 minutes isn't too bad
If I had several workshops then it would be annoying

The Fusion core energy plants cap out at 4 so you need to go and collect them if you need any more of that. Same for other resources. This is fair enough. You can't just go to sleep and wake up having 60 fusion cores in your camp.
