    note on the craft: don't reroll the legendary unless that's a weapon/armor u can't craft, fail rolled legendary can be exchanged to gain back some script, while getting normal mats for crafting new weapon/armor it's cheaper and easier to get

      Getting scrips back gives you the chance for more rolls, specially since the legendary scraper has a daily limit, a single scrap gives you the same or more scrip than an OP or event.

    I think Bethesda should remove the daily limit of script you can get for legendaries. They should also lower the amount of script you get per legendary item. The last thing is the should decrease the legendary modules per player to 50 per day. The overall effect is play time may even increase and for those willing to do so they can get more modules per day.

    another tip is to make multiple of the same weapon (if you can craft them) and roll legendaries for each weapon once, that way you can sell the ones you don’t want for scrips (if you’re not already maxing out). costs more material but imo it’s worth it

    • @Robosium

    CORES are NOT the Bottleneck, SCRIP is. 500 per day = 10 modules per day, which is what 2 three star roles? I had to save up for three days just to role a bunch of times and not get anything good. RNG was not with me lol.
    Basically you want to save up a few thousand Scrip if you want to role for 3* legendary items more than just twice in a day.
    I always have far more Cores than I'll ever need.
    Best way to get the OP gun you want is Discord. Find someone that is trading it, and they sell it cheep since nobody needs Caps, and you can only hold 40,000 anyways. Most any gun can be bought for less than 5k caps. Most times, 2k.

What I was going for with the guide was to help new players in getting to that endgame point. I'd think most people who are up for farming expeditions are probably past the point of needing guides! 😎

    I don't know about other items but at least for Secret Service armor, it's definitely better to craft it than re-roll. It only uses one module to craft. 1, 2, and 3 stars effect seem similar in rarity from this, so lets say it takes 3 modules per 3-star. Already cheaper than re-rolling, and better yet, you don't use any cores at all. Also, this is completely ignoring 1 and 2 stars you craft, so you are way, way more likely to get one and two star effects you want outside of the "god-roll" for that piece of gear. This applies for any crafted legendary item, so keep that in mind if you are looking for "an upgrade" and not the absolute best possible set of effects that qualify for celebratory reddit posts. Also, as already mentioned, you can scrip them to refund a big chunk of what you spent, should you not always hit the daily cap. If you do, just destroy them I suppose. Although I suggest keeping any "weightless" in your stash should you be short a bit later, or are unable to play much any specific day.
    Lets be honest, the junk materials for crafting Secret Service armor pieces is dirt cheap, and you will be able to craft dozens of these pieces using materials you won't otherwise use, or merely bulk to sell to a vendor you'd drain of caps anyway. Unless you are planning to craft hundreds of pieces, you shouldn't run out of these materials even without farming for them. Just pick up the weapons and gear you come across, and equip scrapper when breaking it down. I don't have FO1st, so I keep all my junk below 200 units, besides metal or what is waiting to be sold, and don't even carry a few that are truly useless in bulk such as black titanium, glass, crystal, asbestos, ect. I still end up dropping hundreds of common junk every day that I didn't actually try to get, but which was either from weapons and armor I mass-looted or breaking down junk which had components I look to sell to players (oil and screws). You just realistically shouldn't run out of basic materials needed to craft weapon and armor beyond perhaps screws and lead or oil for ammo. None of which you use to craft Secret Service.
    Besides adhesive (and steel for railway ammo credits>fuel> camp vendor sales), I drop hundreds of all the needed materials just to free up stash space. Steel and plastic you get hundreds of very quickly with the scrapper perk and killing super mutants (or mole miners for more metal). It uses only a bit of rubber and adhesive, which you can get hundreds of passively as you loot naturally over a few hours. For adhesive, if you are in a pinch, look up digested goo farm, but you really should need to farm it. It's not even remotely as scarce as it was in FO4. If you run out of leather, I'd be shocked, but just go kill raiders for their armor or look up Yao Guai or Snallygasters locations. Better yet, events where beasts are a part of will net you a lot very quickly.
    If you play a lot, and thus enter a lot of events, modules will be the bottleneck. If you don't, cores might eventually become the bottleneck once you've used up what you've accumulated during reaching max level or wherever you are when you start crafting. If you are low on cores and time, hop into events just before they finishes for full rewards (and thus cores), without having to be too pulled-away from what you actually want to do. Often times I load-in with "Event Complete" popping up.

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  Před 25 dny

      Personally I would recommend having an armour set for use outside of Power Armour but you're right about it not counting when you're wearing PA. Your regular armour is actually removed when you get into the PA and goes back on, (assuming you're wearing it in the first place), when you get out. Same thing applies to backpacks incidentally. You can see the difference in your PipBoy if you were to check whilst in PA. The regular stuff is unequipped and the PA parts are marked as equipped instead.

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  Před 21 dnem

      That'll be it. If you have regular armour with deep pocketed mods on the drop can be even larger. And if you have legendary effects on that armour that reduces the weight of things your carrying, (weapons, food, chems etc), you can really get caught out. On occasion you'll actually be able to carry less in PA, daft as that sounds.
      Sets of PA like Excavator or Union have carry weight boosting attributes that can offset some of this. Calibrated shocks modifications on the legs raise the carrying capacity of PA too so that's pretty much a must imo. 😎

    Also make friends on the discords and play with those people. I actually gave an AA/FFR/50% break ultracite Gatling laser to a friend because I had two, my main and another I got while rolling for something else. Same with an AA/FFR Holy Fire. @@rovers141 Not really, no. Much more impactful than perfect gear would be your build. The exception to this would be a few key 1-star effects, primarily Unyielding/Overeaters on armor, and Quad/anti-armor/bloodied on weapons, but you could solo group bosses with mediocre gear with good supplies and a decent build. Might take awhile, but you could do it without a problem, no real skill required.
      The most notable exception to perks and buffs over gear would by Unyielding armor which is completely broken in terms of balance to any other effect and defines meta DPS. That being said, a full set of a single effect can naturally be found without a ton of issue over time and unless you want to kill mirelurk queens and legendary scorchbeasts in 3 seconds, you don't NEED that much DPS. Second and third effects are a nice boost, but not nearly as impactful as the primary effect.
      I've never touched power armor, but I can say you don't need much in terms of defense, and blocker/dodgy/serendipity perks will help much more anyway. Sure, you can be immortal, but even with a build not revolving around defense, I would have to try to die if I was playing at full hp even outside power armor. On my first play-through at launch, I died perhaps twice on my journey to level 100, excluding radiation. I didn't even know you lost junk on death, it was that rare. Now I play at 20% HP, but I really only die once every few hours, and still primarily to radiation or swarms of enemies at group event that I am soloing (and tato salad, for those who know). Granted, I am also completely broken in terms of damage, so even solo, group bosses will die in a minute or two so I've no need to last very long, and this is without god-rolled gear. Food buffs are king, and I'd say look into those before worrying about farming gear (praise be the Herbivore's blight soup and tato salad with Live & Love 3). On top of everything else, you can chug coffee and spam food to get so much AP and HP regeneration that you simply can't die or run out of AP. Personally, I love Cola Nut perk using Nuka Cola [Spoiler Flavor] for heal stacking, but almost never need it. I use them in place of stimpacks since they don't have an animation so you can heal and keep firing. They also weight next to nothing, unlike normal Nuka Colas. The initial heal rate with Cola Nut is insanely high, well over a super-stimpack. Unlike stimpacks, the slow heal stacks with itself, so chugging 5 of them, I get the heal-rate of a stimpack for a solid 20 seconds straight, or I can keep chugging them to heal my healthbar every second to become a cola infused god of regeneration...
      TLDR: Build and buffs are way more impactful that gear in all but the most dedicated of builds, but by no means are any of these things needed for even end-game content.

      @@zackvoltran2684 okay now we're talking Fallout 😂. This is 100% what I expected before jumping in. One thing about Fallout games or Bethesda games in general, is they're not afraid to take all difficulty out of the game with just a few broken mechanics or buffs. Thanks for the info!

I don't know the odds, but you can also find it in player vendors rather commonly, for a few hundred caps at most. I suppose it's functionally a quad double barrel since it has 8 shots...

      Not once you start using them regularly. They disappear pretty quickly. I can grab 10 modules pretty much every day I play, but all to often events and the like only give out one core. I definitely don't have the time to run enough events to offset that.

    Shid I thought there was something better than anti armor. I just sold an anti armor 3 star auto handmade for like 600 caps. Been trying to clear my stash while figuring this game out and selling the guns I made that I thought were decent between 500-700 caps

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  Před 22 dny +1

      Bloodied and anti armour are basically the best two options. I'm not a fan of bloodied though myself. Aristocrat's is close behind if you can keep your caps over the 30k mark.
      One of the good things about this system though is that unless you're really unlucky you should be able to get a decent replacement without too much of a struggle.

      @jamesphillips3135 furious works but aristocrat's adds the same amount of extra damage as furious but starting on the first shot rather than taking 9 to get there. It's ok if you have a very fast gun but other options are stronger.

      Your luck stat won't help get good drops when it's purely random. The crafting system shortens the odds by over 10x, as well which is significantly better than getting 3 extra rolls.
