Soulcalibur 3 P2 is actually quite a popular design among Siegfried players I've talked to. I too think it's better than crap, but in general - as a long time Siegfried player myself - I agree with almost all your rankings of the designs.
SC2 nightmare is such an iconic design have been working on a cosplay for it

I'm gonna disagree with most of the nightmare costume ratings bro, I actually like the designs.
Siegfried's P1 design from Soul Calibur is my favorite of the series. I love the subtle gold accents and engravings, but it still feels grounded in its roots as Germanic gothic plate armor.
SC 1 & 2 in general had a more grounded and somber tone, and stuck a little closer to the historical and cultural influences for the characters. They still had stylized anime vibes, but they felt more balanced with the historical setting. SC3 and onward just went so, so far into over the top anime territory with their aesthetics and story. If 3 were the last of the series, then it would've felt like an appropriate energy for a finale to have, but 4 & 5 completely lost their identity. Felt more like Final Fantasy than Soul Calibur.
6 has tried to bring it back to its roots, and I appreciate that a lot, but it's still not quite what it was. This is evident in Siegfried's design. It doesn't look at all like any historical plate armor. It just looks like something out of WoW. It's so chunky and awkward looking. Poor Sieg just gets completely lost in it. Like he's wearing his dad's clothes.
Oh, also SC5 Nightmare is hideous. It's like SC2 redesigned by someone with no concept of what makes that design so beloved. SC4 Nightmare I sort of respect for being so buttfuck over the top and stupid, but SC5 is TRYING to be classier and just failing miserably.
I never felt like 4 and 5 were like final fantasy
To me they gave off homebrew DnD aethetics (which if even worse for SC than feeling like FF IMO)
And it's even worse in 6 (old character designs are neat, but new ones, story mode ones and character creator options, are beyond horrible in my opinion. Steampunk mage alchemist guild from SCVI doesn't make much sense for neither historical, mixed up bootleg historical, anime nor fantastical elements of SC - it's just some DnD campaign plotpoint guild)
Tira aside, 3 did still felt like Soul Calibur, except with fantastical elements cranked up to insanity. Having a lot of assets shared with SC2, similar music, lore-related characters, separate AU for CaS styles and designs; and eurasian word map for Tales of Souls helped it to stay distinctly Soul Calibur in my opinion though.
SC1 Siegfried's black armor reminds me of the Berserker armor probably because it was referencing Guts
Sc3 p2 Siegfried is my all time favorite design. The artwork for it too is 🔥 imo

Mid transformation siegfried/nightmare from sc2 was a childhood crush so i was devastated at him being dragged so hard ;^;

Kinda disagree Sc2's take, I think SC2's 3rd Nightmare outfit is good enough to picture a realistic Knight of Soul's world and since he got a identity too, so I think that armor suits him.
I only disagre for Siegfried outfits from SC 4, both of them are Superior tier, especialy the crystalline armor, it makes him so unique, it gave so much prestige, it was the exactly opposite of Nightmare, the Holy and the Unholy.

SC series have so much potential but as long as the moron Harada is team leader, we will never see any improvemnt, only hardcore content with awful graphics and nothing more. Thats why I stoped at SC4. I hope someday both swords Soul Calibur and Soul Edge thrust into that bastard's Harada heart and kill him for good so the game will become phenomenal (Same with Tekken)
Harada isn't the team leader, schizo; he's only listed on three Soulcalibur games, and SC4 is the only one where he's credited as a co-director (in SC6, he's credited as Executive Advisor). Soulcalibur's had many different directors throughout the games, eg. Katsutoshi Sasaki being the director for SC4, Daishi Odashima being one of two for SC5, and Yoshinori Takahashi being the director for SC6.
You have no right calling others morons when you're too stupid to read a game's credits, and for bizarrely thinking that Harada has total control over all of the Soulcalibur games. Take your meds next time.
Nightmare SC2 and SC5 God Tier for Me
I actually find the first nightmare (and subsequently, red-armor Siegfried) to be pretty alright. Not as good as what we got in SC2, or even the first SC, but it was a decent starting off point for a character we didn't know too much about yet. I find it kinda charming in it's antiquity.
I love me some Nightmare and that's why I like all of his designs

In Soulcalibur 5 you can actually give Nightmare/Graf Dumas with Gelled Back Iong to make hime Iook Iike Siegfried but removing Persona of Deceit Dumas mask you need a HxD hex mod for that

SC2 Nightmare is my favorite Fighting Game Character design in the entire franchise.
Loved Nightmares design in 2. Absolutely iconic look for him. 3's Siegfried was also absolutely perfect. I hated what they did with Soul Calibur and Soul Edge in 4 though. Those costumes and weapons were abominations

Soul Calibur: 1-Looks alright. 2-Looks like he’s trying to be Griffith from Berserk
Soul Calibur 2: 1-Best of the bunch and very iconic. 2-a good look for Siegfried when he was Nightmare although his hair could have been red.
Soul Calibur 3: 1-Looks good but his armor in Soul Calibur 2 is a bit better. 2- Looks like Patrick Star’s demonic cousin
Soul Calibur 4: 1-Trying way too hard to be evil looking. 2-looks like Megatron from the 2007 Transformers movie.
Soul Calibur 5: 1-A great comparison to his Soul Calibur 2 design. 2-Looks like a rejected Doom/Diablo/Dragon Age/Dark Siders/World of Warcraft/Legacy of Kain monsters

Soul Blade: 1-Looks ok for a 16 year old knight. 2-Just a boy in armor. 3-more looks like a squire
Soul Calibur 1: 1-Good so far. 2-Great addition of the German Hunting knife. 3-Alright
Soul Calibur 2: Looks good even though he’s just a 3rd costume for Nightmare
Soul Calibur 3: 1-Best design so far. 2-Looks a lot like Cloud Strife if he became a knight.
Soul Calibur 4: Looks kinda ridiculous in that Crystal armor. 2-Meh
Soul Calibur 5: 1- Looks ok for a guy who’s 40 but his armor looks like it belongs in either World of Warcraft or Warhammer. 2-Makes him look like a farmer if he decided to retire and start a family of his own.
Soul Calibur 6: Looks good so far.

I feel like Soul Edge Sigfried designs 1 and 3 become better with added context of him being literally delusional kid who fked up real bad and keeps making everything worse and worse due to not being able to face the reality.

All Nightmare's 2P outfits in SCII belong in Superior Tier, and any differing opinion is just wrong. And Siegfried/Nightmare's half form was absolute peak, imo, with his 1P outfit being the only better outfit, not just in that game, but in any SC game ever.
Nightmare's P2 outfit in SCV also looks better than y'all give credit for, and should be at least Between Tier (i'd personally put him in Awesome Tier)
Other than that, i mostly agree with the rest of these rankings where they are.
The best for me is 1p SC2 too cool

I really Don't like the new gameplay mechanics of Soulcalibur 6 (Lethal Hit and Soul Charge) and I Prefer the simplicity of gameplay of Soulcalibur 4 and 5.
Also Soulcalibur 6 is overrated.
