Tekken 4 Yoshi’s red and silver costume will always be my favorite one. Love the whole color scheme, the mask looks great imo, I especially love the demon face on his back, and the basic silver sword actually fits the aesthetic but looks even more badass when it’s lit up red after using his Soul Stealer move
Love that outfit. Whenever I think of Yoshimitsu, that's the one that comes to mind. Namco seems to have even liked it enough to sort of remake the mask/wig with the Kagekiyo helmet in Tekken 6 and 7.
His Tekken 5 outfit is the best.
Skeletor Bug from 4 is my personal favorite.

When that first came out I hated the bug skin then tekken 5 came out and made me love it lol
SC2 green outfit yoshimitsu is one of my favorites. It's definitely way better than you are rating it. I think you are just looking at the "cool" factor of the costumes instead of thinking about the characters setting. It has such intricate detail and color palette. His crown might be weird but it's all based on some historical reference.

T6’s alt is definitely one of the most ninja looking ones though. It’s just the flame wheel that sticks out.
Tekken 4 had 2 dope skins. Would love to see those skins come back.
I kinda like Tag 2's Armor though. Fit his Buddhist side of portrayal, also I personally dislike T6's armor the most because it is not a samurai, ninja or even about coming from space, not really fit any of his portrayal in the past.
One is the most unique characters in fighting games.
Tag 2 costume got violated
Tekken 4 Bug and Tekken 5 alt belong in S.
Perfect designs but slightly under the Tekken 3 primary.
7:20 the middle eastern yoshi is kinda dope in my opinion.
The character model overall is just so bad that it drags down anything the costume had going for it. I don't think of very much pink in the middle east, either, but it's probably the lack of cultural input. It could have been much better, but I heard a rumor that they were running out of development time for the game, so 2P outfits were lower priorities, and Yoshimitsu was a late addition to the game. Not sure how true that is, but that model is awful. His neck is even hollow like a dummy, even though he's supposed to be human.
I strongly disagree about the Tag 2 outfit
I’m a little biased since this was my first Yoshimitsu design but I think it’s a solid A
I actually liked the knight ones especially from Tekken 3, maybe could have been slightly better but overall I agree with this chart
Nice tier list. SoulCalibur 6's Yoshimitsu is actually my favorite.
You keep idolizing his T3 outfit, but show his Tag 3rd alternate outfit. lol THAT's the best one. T3 armor, but his shorts are black and have gold on them. 2nd best (if we're just combining his T3/Tag one) imo is his skeleton beetle. I also really like the squid. 4th place....It's hard to say. Maybe his T4 alternate. Good callbacks, not overdesigned, it's just a good costume. I personally HATE the SC outfits. And the ones that look okay are ruined by the dumb flag.
The flag has its importance though, It is a Ashigaru flag that common soilder in fedual Japan had at their back when fighting.
I think it represents Yoshimitsu as the leader of commoner against Higher class of noble or Lords
which you know it's about his Robin hood side of representation
@@tonyfranksland428 I get that it has importance, but that doesn't change my opinion. I still think it's dumb, and will continue thinking it's dumb. Instead of a giant flag on his back, he could of just put the writing/designs in his armor and that would have been better imo.

Soul Calibur V main outfit Yoshimitsu is S tier for sure. It’s the best Soul Calibur Yoshimitsu design

I gotta say I like pretty much every Soul Calibur main design over that M.Bison one.
Overall very respectable list
Tekken 1: 1-Looks very blocky due to the PS1 graphics and it’s just a guy in a demon mask. 2-A bit over designed.
Tekken 2: 1-Looks great due to the straw hat look. 2-meh
Tekken 3: 1-Very iconic and the best out of the bunch. 2-Looks more like a Chinese warrior judging by his helmet.
Tekken 4: 1-Great concept with the Beetle design. 2-Great design as he looks like some sort of demon or ghost.
Tekken 5: 1-Bit over designed with the armor and he looks more like a Samurai. 2-Great ghost like Ronin design.
Tekken 6: 1-Way too over designed as he looks like a Bleach monster. 2-Kinda love the spooky priest ghost look
Tekken 7: Looks like Deker from Power Rangers Samurai
Tekken 8: A great call back to his Tekken 3 costume although he kinda looks like Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden.
Soul Calibur 1: Looks less like a ninja a more like a ghost samurai. 2-Great puppet design, but his outfit looks more Arabic.
Soul Calibur 2: 1-Great Samurai design along with the mask. 2-Great 3 mask design concept.
Soul Calibur 3: 1-Looks more like a Tengu Samurai. 2- Looks like Zoidberg from Futurama.
Soul Calibur 4: 1-A bit over designed. 2-Good idea with the snow monkey design
Soul Calibur 5: 1-Great idea with the skeleton Samurai. 2-nice idea with the Tengu look

I'm biased towards sc2 1P, as I am most used to it. That's my first image (as I've only played tekken 7, not 3)

My favourite is Tekken 3. He was one of the iconic characters and one of the reasons that made Tekken 3 so recognizable.
Everyone knew that Alien/Ninja/Samurai/Cyborg hybrid.
Second place is Tekken 5.
5 was also the last time i had the most fun with yoshimitsu before they changed his fighting style.
Kinda like Tekken 4. Though i think without the wings he would look better.

Yoshimitsu the 2nd 1st costume is my favourite of Soul Calibur while the 1st one of Tekken 7 is my favourite of Tekken. So i can say i aggree with you.
My favorites are tekken 4 alternate and soul calibur 2 alternate

Yoshimitsu’s wild colours and wacky outfits have a reason to exist, he’s supposed to be the distraction, so that the rest of the Manji Clan can accomplish their goals.
