Largely considered by Sopranos fans as one of the 10 best episodes of the series.

Probably not in my top 10. I just think some of the episode could have been trimmed. But definitely in my top 20.
This is my favorite sopranos episode. What Eddie Falco and James Gandolfini did here no other pair of actors could do it, amazing job

Tony did say this when the decision was made. Those two were dead no matter what
I think Edie Falco won an Emmy for this episode. She was a beast the whole series
The Jack Lemmon-Lee Remick reference related to the 1962 movie they were in, "The Days of Wine and Roses" where they played alcoholics.
Edie Falco did a fantastic job with this episode! I don't however feel sorry for her character because she knew full well what she was getting into! If Tony was a regular Joe that wasn't wealthy she wouldn't give him the time of day! But a millionaire gangster murderer, that's a turn on for her! Thanks for reacting to this great show! I lost my Mom last year and I enjoy the relationship you have with each other! Enjoy your break!
Was not wealthy when they met. And examples like Johnny and Booby, while the exception, show some can be more decent in their marriages. She is fine with the murder and crimes, it was specifically the infidelity that broke her. As she said, what is so wrong with her

It was a shocking moment when Carmela blurted out her crush on Furio! Edie Falco killed this role.
Not very smart though. If she really did love him, she knows her husband well. She would have remained silent, like Paulie and the fat joke

The thing is though, the entire series, Tony never hit her. He's restrained her, he never hit her. On purpose, minus the last season.

@@86leewis No she knew exactly what she was doing. It was very smart. Furio wasn't coming back and she intuited that. She even suspected it might be possible that Tony had him killed, that was stated explicitly. What she needed to do in that moment was cut Tony deeper than he could ever cut her back. As she said, she knew him better than anyone, and she proved it. Her words went right to the core of his ego and narcissism, it hurt him deeper than any gunshot.
Remember this show was week to week year to years sometimes

Carmela is not smart. Once you marry into the mob there’s no getting out. You think a mobster would even allow a divorce?? They’d kill their wife before they would ever allow her to independently hire & talk to lawyers. Roe understands these guys live in another century. Carmela has a teen crush on a guy & is willing to destroy what little love exists in the family over it.

On one hand she was speaking on her feelings but on the other hand she knows that info could be fatal for furio. Was that her getting him back for leaving?
She preferred getting him whacked in exchange to getting back at Tony. At the end of the day the supposed great love she felt for him wasn’t much….
She knew what she was doing.
This was not a calculated reveal imo, emotions took over. And Furio spoiler……………

Definitely my 2nd least favorite Season on the show behind the 1st Season, I think the episodes “Whoever did this”, “Strong Silent Type”, and “Whitecaps” saved it from being a Bad Season as they were GREAT episodes, the rest of the episodes were good or ok to me, but I’m excited for y’all reaction on the S5 and good work completing another season Flix2Us👏
