I use to do the same and can also confirm. But thats how they make their money.. Like 90 percent(prob more these days just guessing)goes to the movie studios on ticket sales. They basically ‘rent’ the media to play it lol, yes it must be returned.That small amount earned alone wouldnt even keep their lights on every month real talk. So without that 5-10 dollar popcorn theaters wouldnt even exist. Soon eveeything will prob be on demand anyway..

For those who care, the popcorn is $50 and the drinks $180
Lmao sneaking in snacks is the most intense thing..!! Let me tell you the biggest challenge I've ever done in my life: 2 Burgers in big pockets, a container of sushi under my shirts, a large cup of drink under one of the long sleeves, French fries under the other sleeve, ketchup and soy sauce packs in my back pocket, and chopsticks around my ankle under the socks 😂 It's so hard to walk naturally 😂😂😂 It only works during the wintertime.

There was an old theater I went to that only played one movie at a time, but they had a glass observation room that the parents could take their kids for when they threw tantrums in the theater. It was sound proof but you could still see and hear the movie inside the room.

The theatre I worked for and basically every movie I go to you can bring in food no one cares the only people that ever might say something is the 75 year old people hat have been there for 30 years
When i was at the cinema, I had to clean. I was an attendant/Usher. You can bring in whatever food you wanted as long as it was cold, so the smell wouldn't stink up the place.
