    The old place truly had that American charm to it. The old pole barns. The old looking house. The surroundings were pleasant, and truly was similar to my the Amish homestead I grew up in. The new place is quite modern appearing, but it also has that beautiful land. The new workspace is a bit smaller, but I believe it's more industrialized perhaps to what you're wanting to do, especially with the last video explaining the layout of it, which really brought things to perspective for me. I didn't realize you had to walk all the way down to the wood shop just to make a hole, then back to the pole barn to do this or that -- back and forth. I know such things would make me procrastinate doing it. Though I'm not a part of the Amish church, I still live on the land of my ancestors. We have separate houses, with our own areas. It's quite common where I live for such homesteads -- multiple houses spanned across one property. It's the way the pioneers did it, and I have deep respect for such ideologies. It truly showcases that you're wanting to be close to family, and the things that matter in life, not just a CZcams channel. I look forward to the house tours you'll be doing, shop setup, and all of the little details, even going through grand dads big old box of bits and pieces, organizing them. Good luck on your back recovery, I pray you'll get some relief.

    That shoulder is going to take a long time to heal, so be patient. I tore my left rotator cuff 30 years ago. It took a couple of years before I had full mobility in it. 21/2 years ago I fell in the parking lot @ work and trashed my right shoulder--I heard horrible popping and crunching sounds when I bounced off of the pavement. It still isn't right, but I was happy to be able toss a softball around with my daughter last week. As for Michigan's water, most of it is fine. Even the Flint river is a lot cleaner than it used to be. The Flint water crisis was caused by officials NOT following standard protocol when treating it when they switched to the Flint river to supply their water. If they had followed the proper treatment requirements, there would not be a problem. Nearly every old city has lead pipes in the ground.

Broke radius and ulna and i could touch my elbow with my middle finger when it happened. Had surgery and had it all screwed back together. Bounced almost completely back in a little over 3 months and had pain for about a year. I just bought a mountain cabin on six acres with a fantastic view of Mt Rainer. The day before we closed during the walk through the RE agent told me that Mt RaIner is considered the most dangerous volcano in America.

    • @spiritcallsus

      It is, mainly because all of the natural flows (pyroclastic) will follow the river to the west and the highly developed settlements around lower Puget Sound (high populations) no room to escape unless you have a boat sitting there waiting for you ... but because so many do there will be maritime traffic jams there also ... :-(

    • @timjones7547
      @timjones7547 Před 3 lety

      Well, Mt Rainier is a pretty old vokcano and not likely to erupt. However, the big concern is that the north west side will slough off and create a gigantic lahar that will travel down the White River into Lake Tapps, Sumner, Bonney Lake and Puyallup, heavily populated areas.

    If its still your shoulder thats bothering you I cannot recommend something like a theragun enough. Dont waste hundreds on the real ones to start, just get the adapter for a battery jigsaw I'm sure you already have around, show your wife how to operate it and start gently doing 5 minutes in the mornings, itll be the best 15 bucks you ever spent.
    If you find you like it then maybe invest in a real one as they're lighter and easier to do yourself, but honestly I prefer the jigsaw one, its got more kick.

      I would imagine he won't be allowed to dredge if it's a good fish baring river, gold panning hurts nobody. And since it's his land I'd reckon that would be a yes sir! ;)

      @troystutsman1400 Před 3 lety +2

      Studies have proven that dredging is actually beneficial to fish bearing waters...
      I’ve been a prospector for many years and when California outlawed dredging,
      all types of studies were conducted to see if it was actually harmful to fish as the
      state of California has claimed...
      After several studies, by multiple sources, it has been proven to not only be untrue,
      but that it is actually beneficial for the fish...!
      Of course, California still does not want to accept the facts from these sources still
      today...!
      They could always run a High banker and/or a Sluice too...
      I would definitely check it out and get into the hobby, especially with the value of gold
      right now...!
      It doesn’t cost much to get started, in fact, many of the tools and equipment can be easily
      made...!
      It’s a great hobby that the whole family can enjoy together and one that can potentially not only
      pay for itself but also make you a nice income...
      Good luck with your adventures...!
      Stay safe and healthy.
      Have a great day and be blessed.

    • @theseeker4911
      @theseeker4911 Před 3 lety

      @@troystutsman1400 I think the study your referring to was rivers that already had been effected or touched by man. I know that dredging "can" be beneficial for fish populations in some cases but certainly not all! Build up of silt, felled trees etc all play a part in changing the course of a river which obviously happens naturally over time. It's a tricky one to be 100% one way or the other to be fair. Dredging can help revitalise the health of a river that is lacking in biodiversity, however it will take some time to get back to a healthy state. It can also cause a serious amount of damage and set back a healthy river considerably. Time and place is key i guess

    Cody, I have left rental dumps that teared me up because I had had good times there. And as an Australian I have toured some of your neck of the woods, and up and over the border to our fellow British Commonwealth folks in BC Canada. Here is my quote:
    "I would never pass up a chance to have that mountain being ' just over there', and 'a river runs through it'.
