Now they can't just get a small or limited list of computer geeks that can manipulate GPS programs. Anyone with IOS or Android programming can do this part now - so thousands of people - not dozens.

It makes sense, the shooter was blocking the wife's door, she could not escape, husband could so he would have shot him first if he was the target.
The captain, as a police detective, would know when confronting more than one person you take out the bigger threat first. The fact that the wife was shot first means she was the primary target.

I love how devoted Disher is to Stottlemeyer. He just forks over his tie without question the moment the Captain realizes the media was likely to swarm
Randy for all his off the wall bonkers case theories...is immensely loyal. And if you note in the series, Randy did NOT leave Sottlemeyer's side until Monk became better. Randy was there for Leland through it all, including Sottlemeyer's divorce, the arrest of his girlfriend, etc.

@@ChromeCobra420 fair enough. The dentist episode was because of Stottlemeyer's lack of faith in Randy. And he was busy with the kick of the Randy Disher Project so...understandable. And the uncle dying was an important investigation which if you recall, Randy single-handedly solved. 😉

Very smart man to find out a way to say a license number into a sentence. Especially when he was dying.. Since people are attacking me i need to clarify that i was talking about the actual act. Not the show writers who planned it out.
It would’ve been smarter to remember the license number rather than repeating nonsense.

It would have been much smarter to get back into his car and drive to the hospital since he saw the guy leave because he ran him over on the way out and apparently had enough energy to crawl 2 miles. Most healthy people would take hours to crawl that far.

4:15 it took only around half a minute, and it came out of nowhere, but this scene made me tear up. This show is phenomenal, and Tony Shalhoub is an amazing actor
My friend Melissa told me once how much she admired me because she loved that I had a job in paratransit at the time. She passed away 5 years ago, and, I lost that job I did a few other things, when I had a chance to do paratransit again I took it. I work on a couple different accounts now, but one of them is a paratransit account for the University here, and that's one of the reasons why I tried to stay with that account when I can.

Tony Shalhoub is an excellent actor and really did an outstanding job with this role. I wouldn't, however, call him "amazing."
In monks' defense on the part where he over explained, that can be something really smart people struggle with. My father is a certifiable genius and he tends to under explain because he's humble and forgets that he's probably the smartest person in the room and assumes that everyone understands things like he does. Then other times he'll overcompensate the other way and do what Monk did here.
I do the same thing, only mine is autism-based. I assume people have followed my leaps of logic, only it turns out they haven't, so I explain every micro detail and then they're all like "You don't have to treat me like I'm stupid! 😠"

Monk has an actual ally in this episode. If only the guy could have been there for Adrian a few episodes per season, I think that could have made things interesting.
I thought it might’ve been interesting to introduce a bunch of new characters as friends to assist him rather then adding the new assistant.
He actually seemed to have a genuine connection with that guy too. Like they could just talk and BS.

I love dynamics like Sharona and Monk in terms of caretaker and patient. They have this understanding that he does have problems that would infuriate many and she still cares for him even if she's got a temper. Its not any malicious kind of anger and its somewhat acceptable considering the circumstances, feels real. I've seen saints who take a moment to vent out their problems then go back to this iron cage of kindness and just seems better than the alternative of bottling up this bomb inside. The writers really knew how to write out both the bad or not well experienced nurses and the good ones and it really helps not just the characters but the overall show with that attention to detail.

Except she's constantly being verbally abusive of him 😅 you can encourage your patients to overcome their obstacles without being passive aggressive perfectly reasonably. Natalie was 10 fold a better caretaker than Sharona, which is sad because Natalie wasn't a trained caretaker she was simply an assistant. Sharona should have known better.

this is always one of my favorite episodes to see. someone who genuinely understands everything monk is going through and is willing to listen to the man who has lived through it for so long.

It’s not a big deal, most today are grouped as acronyms, only people who are stickler for details denote the difference.

A judge wouldn't do that, that's up to the jury. Now a district attorney might not pursue a case based on how flimsy the evidence is, but he probably could get the criminal to cop to a lesser plea to get out of a murder trial.

One of my favorite episodes, but honestly every episode was a gem, so it's really hard to narrow it down too much.

I wonder if they could do a reboot of the series? More of a return to the characters 10+ years later. Leland is now the commissioner and one of his first jobs is to hire a new captain. He puts his reputation on the line and goes with ...Monk! As a former Lt with SFPD and a world renowned detective, I think that might be a little unconventional, but still within the realms of possibility. Should we get a petition started?

Yay! For once I got the clue before Monk did! Figured out it was a mnemonic right away, mainly because it sounded so much like "My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas". Guess nowadays they probably change "Nine Pizzas" to "Noodles" or something.
