Love how he solved the case faster because he wanted to go talk to Lisbon. He normally plays with his victims- this was Patrick Jane all business.
@@transfercanlar5420 House MD? IDK, I don't usually watch this genre. Sherlock by BBC is good if you want the detective angle.

Solution Simple actually works lol. u either just stick your hand out or give them something while they’re talking and if they’re holding something, they’ll give it to u and vice versa. u could hand someone something while you’re talking and they’ll take it
If you watch videos of acutal mentalists like Darren Brown, it's amazing how much of this stuff actually works.
Australian actor playing an American character inspired by popular British novels. Neat.
I've never read any Sherlock Holmes. Is that true that Jane was based on those novels?
@@shaneogden7437 nope, he is actually based on a well known mentalist called derren brown. if i’m not mistaken, derren brown and the writer of this serial were friends, as mentioned in one of derren’s interview

Jane was so focused on getting to Lisbon that he straight up hate-solved that second crime, because their murder was slowing him down.
One of the best detective shows out there. A good balance between the gruesome nature of the crimes and the comedic elements, with some really hard-rending moments. I've been binging Nordic Noir and enjoying the shows but they leave me depressed like hell . I miss a show like this.
you should watch Psych, Castle, or Bones, they are all very similar to the mentalist
Yeah this show was so good...but after ree John killing it slowly lost its touch
"you guys have any playing cards?"
He asked them something that wasnt on their innocent script, so they all said something different. Thats how he knew they are all working together. I love these little details. I wonder if there is someone who broke down all the scenes in the mentalist like i tried here. Would love to read it all.
I love how throughout the entire series Cho gives increasingly less of a fuck about Jane’s antics and just goes with them.
Plus the guy at the beginning complaining how they were waiting for 2 hours.
"As it happens, my husband is on the Modesto city council!"
LOL imagine actually thinking that this is supposed to impress someone.
I laughed so hard because I lived there for years and yes, especially when I was still in high school, there were females who acted like this.
I swear to god he can solve every case in under 5 minutes he just likes dragging it out😂
He can't just accuse someone without proper evidence that's why he waits to gather evidence
We need a Jane here In Brasil, we have a statically rates o 1% of murder cases solved on avarenge
(data from an avarange made from the last decade...)
Really, murder investigations here in Brasil are a mess...
That would actually be a great idea for like a CSI parody.
Every episode has like 4 minutes of Exposition, the obligatory intro song containing pictures of people and explosions layered above each other in quick succession and after 5 minutes have passed, the case is solved. Roll credits xD
Criminal Minds solve killer mysteries because of the pattern of its serial victims. It takes time.
Monk solve cases based on OCD pattern. Stupid but clever and rarely spoken. \
Patrick Jane solve cases based on MAGIC. Hence, Cheating. ._.)/\(._.
"You're _all_ under arrest..."
To be fair they probably were arrested but they likely will only get either man slaughter or very low punishment if it's called a murder as it was pretty cut and clear self defense

You can't really call it murder when the guy they killed was basically a ferking terminator.

Wish they would reboot this series somehow, maybe with a spinoff of someone under Patrick's wing, assuming he retires, with just a few episodes where either he solves cases again or they show flashbacks of him working the earlier cases that came before S1E1 chronologically.
Been searching for another series as good as this..nope.. nothing like this.. ever ..
It’s so cute and sad seeing how worried Jane got when he heard Lisbon was leaving. Jisbon is the best couple ever.
No. Please don't make idiotic names. It's fine if a show does that, but if fans do it, it causes inner vomiting.
Fastest solve goes to Monk though. In the episode where he was obsessed about his shirts (S04E11 or something) it took him 5 seconds.
Officer: “Wife says she found her husband’s body coming home from cello lessons.”
Monk: “She’s lying. No way she can play cello in that skirt.”
Yes but for monk it they made his observation thing main key point but here mind games r key point , though both monk and jane r clever in their own ways .
@@greatgamingendavour True, although a lot of Jane's talent is based on very good observation.
Psych. Shawn solved the one case just glancing at the file. "The secretary did it"
"Did you guys heard of human's right"
"No such thing"
Lmao.. 🤣🤣
Watching this after years again I can’t believe how similar it is to Sherlock.
Lucy Harvist that’s because it was inspired by the Sherlock Holmes book series
Gregory House, Jean, and pretty much most of the modern intellectual deductive characters were inspired by Sherlock Holmes

1. Sherlock (Benedict cumberbatch version)
2. NCIS

8. Leverage (highly recommend)

I don't know the budget for the show, but the stunt men at the end did an incredible job for just an opening scene.

that was a great scene. it was the opening of the second or third season. cant remember

@@ThePostalGril
That fallacy with what you just asked shocks me. Do I have to be a christian radical to know that drinking alcohol, something that has been proven to disable your better senses, is absolutely and utterly stupid. Did you really just ask me if I was a puritan? Do you know what alcohol does to your body, or are you so brainwashed that you decide, oh well, blank it, I am going to die anyway. Are you a follower or a leader? Did you really just ask that?

Once you watch this whole series . You can't watch anything else 😭.
😭😭 I've been watching it on repeat ever since ... Tried watching Lie to me but it was kinda geeky... Then Sherlock was boring since he literally talks too much 🙄
“The world’s full of scumbags we can’t touch.” - Patrick Jane
That was a great foot chase. Appeared to be unscripted mayhem. Loved the head butt into the display shelving.
This mini-cases were my favorite part of the series. I would have watched whole episodes with a dozen of these little guys in each one.
Absolutely one of the BEST series on TV.
I wish Patrick Jane were real.I wish he will hypnotize me and make me forget about my ex.
👀I'm so sorry I laughed out loud at this.....you'll be fine honey. If its meant to be it will be❤..atleast your an ex closer to the one😋

This is why I love Mentalist. Top TV series on my lists
He is amazing! I like how Cho is serene/ very chill when Patrick is solving the case.
The end of that fist clip has great
Lisbon: Nice going.
Jane: What? We solved the case didn't we?
Cop in the distance: Put it down!
This show is underrated as all hell.
There were a lot of things I hated about the last two seasons, not the least of which is the baffling lack of grumblings about Californians in every situation the way Scooby-doo villains always complain about meddling kids. Goes to show you the writers have never been to Texas, or they would have KNOWN. But one thing I do appreciate is that Cho doesn't even look surprised when Jane completely ignores the very serious matter at hand to chat about Lisbon and just answers his questions honestly. Cho knows how Jane works, and Jane's not going to do anything he doesn't want to do, and if he doesn't want to solve crime until he's finished asking questions, well, he's not going to, and Cho just rolls with it. Honestly, I expect Cho adjusted the easiest to life in Texas.
Cho was definitely one of the best characters on the entire show, except for whatever travesty they injected with his relationship with Summer. You can tell they were going to inject Summer seriously into the show because at first she was competent, sassy, and self-assured, and most importantly, the other characters in the show liked her. As soon as it became apparent she wasn't a hit, they turned her into an idiotic train wreck junkie and everyone was questioning Cho's common sense. Awful way to handle that story beat, everything else about Cho worked.
when i was watching this show, i was hoping they makes a parody of CSI. a scene while Lisbon and the others brushed off some finger prints and collecting evidence then Jane walks in like Horatio solve the case on the spot, put on his sunglasses and walks off towards the sunset. perfect.
CSI is so bad I can't watch it. People rarely, very, very, very rarely get caught based on evidence. They all tell on themselves. Dumbest thing ever. If you do something wrong, shut up and ask for your lawyer. Simple and yet it never happens. All of these people should have asked for a lawyer and then remained silent. No case.
I love it how Jane in second case just casualy talking with Cho about Lisbon and dont give a f about them 😂🔝🔥😍
There was another fast case, in the beginning of the 6th season maybe in the 1st episode. I don't remember exactly, but the ending was the killer pointed a gun at Jane, but he replaced the bullets with pesanuts😂😂
1st episode- father kills daughter because she wouldn't have sex with him anymore- Jane makes this apparent to wife- wife kills husband... case closed - justice served; I was hooked.
For those of you wondering like me - The second case is from S06E22.
We enjoyed watching that show at our home. It was well written and well played.

If you watch closely when he's leading Mandy, you can see him watching everyone else to see how they react as he moves her around. It's quite subtle but very well done.

The intro music still gives me the chills.
That was smooth!
jane priceless gifted unique actor humour..
A Russian watching this episode and hear someone throwing a perfect Vodka would understand Patrick Jane's anger.
I'd love to see Mentalist new episodes on tv again
The second one with the students, I think they could get off with self defense. Maybe man slaughter.
Tyler assaulted two of them - nearly choked one to death, smashed up the room. He was stabbed, shallow, in the back so that he would stop, only to chase that girl to try and beat her ass. So when he fell in the pool it was their golden ticket.
Tyler made each of them fear for their lives when he flipped out. The cops definitely wouldn’t have gotten there fast enough. And if any of them ran, Tyler would have caught one and finished what he started. Odds are the guy he choked out.
So manslaughter because they wanted to stop him. Not sure if it was established that they meant to kill him. They just wanted him to stop.
you do know that once they tried to hide it ...then its no longer a self defense
Thing is they don't really have any evidence to back up Jane's version of events.
@@slimaneazouzi970that actually isn't true. It does make a jury much less likely to believe they acted in self defense, but the cover up is a different crime than murder. They could be charged with obstruction and for lying to a police officer, but that is unrelated to the homicide.
Basically, to use self defense or defense of others, you (and a hypothetical "reasonable person" in the same situation) must believe the now dead attacker intended to kill or inflict serious bodily harm. The events afterwards are unrelated, and don't change whether or not they're guilty of murder/homicide.
Forensics would have solved it anyway once they do an autopsy and find the water in his lungs, but it's the speed of Jane solving the case, and that too while he's thinking about Lisbon, which is impressive!
i miss this show 😭
i really like that he solved the cases fast because he really want to get back to lisbon

There R actually two more cases solved in under five minutes that aren't in this vid. The first one is in the pilot episode, where Morgan Tolliver (the very first killer in the entire series) killed his own daughter (forgot her name) because she stood up 2 him 4 raping her, & was subsequently murdered himself by his wife Juniper in a justified act of retribution. The second one is in the season six premiere episode, "The Desert Rose", where a famous baseball player named Cody Benbow (the very first killer in the sixth season) killed his own fiancee, Sandra Helvig, 4 trying 2 leave him 4 an unknown reason (most likely, one of them was cheating on the other one, or maybe it was both, who knows). Patrick slipped peanuts in his gun's chamber, so that he'd B easy pickings 4 the Sac PD, only 4 Benbow 2 pull out a second gun he had concealed in his pants pocket & shoot one of the cops (he survived, though), & then he was riddled w/ bullets & killed on the spot by the other cops; another justified act IMO.
