Ok the yuna quote is interesting, he says it's not fair to have eidolons help you out but summons in ffx are called summons and in ffxii they are espers so i think it may be a reference to that naming scheme.

Indeed. Vaan was much more tolerable and easier to sympathize with, and that's *with* audible dialogue. Boy does that say something. Zidane is one of the worst protagonists in the series; unintelligent, immature, no development at all and no redeeming features. You can't just make dull characters act all sentimental and expect it to be a hit. A weak cliche.

The strongest esper in the game is a Big flying Fish with wings that can destroy an entire universe and you can obtain it as if it is another item 😂😂 he himself can do volley ball Super Nova

Oh Vaan, you silly Dalmascan pretty boy. Personally, I've always liked Vaan, especially once he grows up a little from Arcadia forward. Then again, I kinda felt that a good deal of his prior stupidity felt...forced. Like the age question (and speaking as a girl, I've never understood what the issue is with asking a woman's age, the heck does it matter?), it came completely out of no where and was completely out of place; it's like Square decided "Oh, Vaan is showing maturity by talking with Ashe about his past and his reasons for continuing with the party, let's completely derail that because we can! LOL." Okay sure, he is an orphan teen with a skewed sense of manners, but he's a street-wise thief with a good heart, a sympathetic backstory, and a huge amount of potential (and honestly, his Quickenings are some of my favorite, both here and in FFXII, and show case his potential and growth pretty well).
And I'm sorry, but I still think him charge stabbing Vayne and sending him flying WITH GABRANTH'S sword was amazing. Plus, just my opinion, but he's better than Tidus and Penelo...and Ashe, but Ashe is the one FF character that I just feel irrational dislike for, so minus points for that.
Also, I really wish Sora and Riku could be in one of these; I get the feeling Vaan and Sora would be fast friends. :)

...That isn't really applicable. I don't have an opinion on Lightning, positive or negative (Unlike, say, Tidus, who needs to be set on fire...repeatedly.) Again, my dislike of Ashe really has no basis that I've been able to determine, it's just an irrational dislike.

@kuroigetsuga716 It's a callback to a part in 12 wherein the group need to speak with the Marquis in Bujerba, Vaan gets this meeting by making a huge scene by claiming to be Basch (makes sense in context). It's kinda funny that the protagonist claimed to be Basch in that part because Basch apparently was originally supposed to be the protagonist (however, Square wanted a bishie, so they created the Ishmael we see in this video).
What's ironic is this Vaan have more character than in his own game.
