I might be reaching here but I think his lines to Ultimecia in both the original game and 012 is also referencing Tidus's canon magic spells which are all only time based being haste which he also shows off in his EX form and slow magic, both are only available from his section of the sphere grid in FFX

He'd be the right voice fer the first Link, the guy who was Hylia's Chosen Hero. I'd go with a younger voice 'cuz that Link was in his twenties, like Meteon A. Presta in Granblue Fantasy. Masakazu Morita was Tidus's seiyuu, so he'd be the right voice fer Link, too. I meant Link, Hylia's Chosen Hero, the one who was the main protag, the hero, AND the star in the manga. I'd let Link have the Merican accent, like Ratchet, Tidus, Leonardo, Victor (minor character in Resonance of Fate), Shuyin, an' Johnny Test. I'd go with Link talkin' more casually, like, "Hot-blooded, just the way I like 'em!", "Lighten up a little, would ya?", "Yeah!", "Yer goin' doin!", "Uh...you outta shape?", "Uncool.", "I've been savin' THIS one fer YOU!", "See ya!", "Ain't it tough trainin' all the time?", "Creepers no creepin'!", AND "Just keepin' it real!"

mitchell042194 Firion is from FF2, where famously you level up individual stats/weapon/magic skills instead of experience levels. This led to a weird situation (Which I doubt the developers even thought of) where people would intentionally hit their own teammates, because they could sponge up more hits, and that made them all better. (HP for those hit, weapon/magic skills for those hitting).

Tidus is actually a great FF character, hell he's even a great game character. I mean, c'mon, he knew that he was a dream, yet he wanted to help the fayth to put them to their rest. He even wanted to help his father from the misery even though he hated him before. At least he didn't scowl or get moody like Cloud or Squall -,- (no offense, I love them ^^) and I was really dissapointed with Square_Enix for his design in Dissidia. He looks like a witty boy. I like the FFX art better -_-

And in every Kingdom Hearts iteration, he’s extremely helpful to us.

I love how they used every motion from FFX: Blitz Ace, fanfare and adding Brotherhood, Catalbog. Square Should REALLY make a Dissidia for PS3/PS4/PSVita, PSP tranferable. More Charactors even KH Charactors also if they can. Sora, Roxas, Riku, Kairi, Namine, etc wouldmake an amazing addition. They need to add "Advent One-Winged Angel for Sephiroth though.
