Very short form, Prishe (at least early in FF11) is ageless and nigh-invincible due to a dark power inhabiting her starting at her baptism. Until she meets Bahamut, she (and the game uses red herrings to support this) believes that she is fated to be the harbinger of the end of the world.
This belief is hinted at in DDFF with Exdeath's "You house an immeasurable Void within you" and some others.

Cloud and Sephiroth's were some of my favourite quotes (not because they're my favourite characters, Gabranth is my favourite - hence why I'm here) because he plainly insults Cloud for lacking Honor and not following Zack's teachings.

@theulimatefusion Actually, they couldn't get in contact with Gabranth's actual FF12 VA, so they replaced him with Basch's (lampshaded by one of Gabranth's alt costumes being Basch, as well as referencing the fact that he disguised as Basch in the beginning).
Keith really can't hold up the Arcadian accent very well, I really wish they were able to get the original actor or just change Gabranth to Basch so Keith could use his original voice.
(spoilers) I find it hilarious that Gabranth has to impersonate Basch at the start of 12, yet here we see the opposite.

@W0BN1AR Before the start of FF7 Sephiroth was that worlds greatest living hero. When he went nuts 4 years before Zack died and Cloud lost his memory, is when he finally snapped and went bonkers on the world with a desire to smash a meteor into it.

@Xerapher Haha, almost as good as the Roseshipping (Lightning/Firion). I mean, there aren't very many people in Dissidia that either Lightning or Gabranth utter quotes indicating real respect right? There's the ones given to each other, and then LIghtning expresses empathies about being used by higher powers to Cloud, and then Gabranth expresses empathy towards Prishe. I think that's it really XD

Why not Vayne, Square Enix? Why his henchman and not an interesting villain with a varied purpose?
+ThatGuyfromBrazil Well, speaking as a person who's never played FFXII, so take my opinion with a grain of salt - but from what I recall, Vayne was considered a lackluster villain overall, whereas at least Gabaranth kickstarted the plot. And oh yeah, was in the logo.
Let's just say, your wish is kinda coming true later this month if you play the latest Dissidia game.

Honestly a weak villain character. Interesting choice but he tries way too hard to be on the other villain's level. It's just not so.
