  • The city of Zwickau in eastern Germany has a long and varied history of car production and industrial design. Its story is told in the August Horch Museum - beginning with the production of Horch cars, to Audis, to the East German car, the Trabant. On her trip to Zwickau, Hannah Hummel discovers the city’s car history, as well as its art and cultural history. Both the composer Robert Schumann and the expressionist painter and printmaker Max Pechstein were born in Zwickau. This episode of Destination Culture also takes viewers to Schneeberg - a creative hub in Saxony, where students from around the world study fashion and textile design.

The shift lever on the Travant is kinda like the old three-on-the-tree, but yet very different. Hannah's expressions are priceless, and so genuine!

Hanna you have a natural ability to host documentaries. Your seem natural, honest and interested in your subjects. Where you born in England of German parents or how is it that you speak German so well?

The Beetle was produced between 1967 and 2003 in Puebla City. It really has become a piece of Mexican cultural history!

Hey Hannah, just thought I should point out that you have a metal ring in your nose, you might want to go the doctor and get that checked out. OMG, the Indian design student has a ring in her nose too, the rings are multiplying, it's a nose ring pandemic! Enjoyed the video. Thx.
