Löbau and Görlitz in Saxony | Destination Culture: Hannah Hummel on Tour in Germany

- The iconic Schminke House is a pioneering example of modern architecture in the International Style. The house was designed by Hans Sharoun and is located in the Saxon town of Löbau in eastern Germany. Hannah Hummel visits the Schminke House and spends the night there. She also visits Görlitz and its well-preserved old city center. Görlitz is a popular location for shooting films. Directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson have had big productions filmed there. During her trip, Hannah strolls around the film set of a major German series production in Görlitz, which is sometimes called "Görliwood."

I’m from Greece, and in 2018, I start working as a dancer in the Wee dance company in Beautiful Görlitz.
Now I’m back in Greece, but I really really miss this unique town.
Last summer, I was lucky though, because I went back to Görlitz to see my colleagues from the company ❤
Löbau is famous also for the August Förster piano factory - one of the best and oldest piano manufacturers in the world
