This was the one thing I had been missing for 38 years. Tried every diet for 6,8 or even 12 weeks and saw some results but could never look like the guys in the magazine. Then when I did my first five month cut I was amazed what those last few months do. And I didn’t change anything else other than just the duration

Keep in mind I was only lifting my body weight at the time and I didn’t life weights at that time yet. I also wasn’t taking in enough protein throughout the day to keep as much muscle on my body as possible.

    I agree 100 percent. I've been a trainer for over 6 years now and the number 1 problem people face truly is consistency. I have so many people who will go a few days on and many days off a regimen. There's usually only a handful of people who succeed, but when they do it is always caloric deficit, consistency, and mix of cardio and weight training. Also some, like you mentioned, can do it with little to no cardio; most with some form of cardio outside sessions.

I always try to give my clients the honest answers to their questions, but when it comes down to it a lot of people just don't like hearing that it takes TIME, and that there's no magical quick fix to shred body fat. This video is honest and to the point, and doesn't sugarcoat anything. I'd love sharing a gym with trainers/coaches like this; people that tell it like it is and people that know from experience. Big ups for the video, thanks.

    I am skinny fat. My weight was at 115 lbs at 5'2". I had excessive fat on thighs and stomach. No matter how I tried cutting calories didn't do a thing for over a year lost a few lbs ...I tried fasting don't eat from 6 pm until noon the next day and now at 101 lbs lost fat in stomach and thighs no exercise and ate whatever I wanted just mindful of carbs. Now I will continue and most days eat one meal a day will add at training to develop more muscle .. counting calories for me did absolutely nothing so I am sold on fasting.

      Thank you for this comment. I’m skinny fat as well, only 4’11 and 102 lb, same way lots of belly fat and under arm fat.. but if I keep losing weight Im afraid i’ll be too skinny and I can’t stand being hungry at all times. Just trying to cut on some carbs is what have worked just to feel myself lighter but still I feel i have the same lose belly after 6 months of weight training and some light cardio. I cant seem to find many skinny fat people comments.

      @StarGazing8461 Před 5 lety +2

      +Fanny Coughlin and Kay, good comments. Your focus should not be on cutting calories, or even on the side of diet. The best thing for “skinny fat”, is usually a problem of “under fit”. You need to build more muscle. More fitness does not come from the kitchen. It comes from moving your body and challenging muscles. Good luck!

      @black sparrow don't worry, women naturally have lower testosterone so they won't "bulk" up as easily, being toned is a myth so I recommend for you to start going slightly heavier with more intensity.

    Excellent video...I also enjoy lifting and regarding cardio; for me I have found that substituting plyometric supersets for steady state cardio brings me results much quicker and for me I find it much more fun too.(I live on the beach so this is my Go To routine: 1.) Swim out to the breakers and body surf back in 2.) 25 pushups in the sand 3.) Repeat 1.), 4.) 50 mountain climbers, as in 50 for each leg, 5.) Repeat 1.), 6.) 25 bend and thrusts/for more advanced do 25 Burpees where you jump and extend your arms to clap your hands above your head. Repeat 1 - 6 with a target of 5 supersets). Also before I got bone on bone in my left knee I used to enjoy doing sprint workouts and did also used to do some modest distance running twice a week...3 to 4 miles.
