What a refreshing channel! So tired of being told I need to pound chicken breasts and lift till I'm sick. It is never that simple and diets need to be flexible and adjusted to needs. Your delivery is clear and well thought out, thank you for your great content!
I appreciate the feedback. Thanks Michael.
Yeah, TRT makes it very possible. Just wish this guy was more honest.
Who the hell ever said that?!
Agreed brother, especially for an older guy like me, 48. I've lifted off and on all my life but never researched and I'm sure I've been doing most of it incorrectly. I've finally decided to really take it seriously and it's great to have a resource like this.
Gjergj Kastrioti well I’m one of those or just start shredding without doing cardio but if you are 29 years old just star working out 5 times a week and rest 2 days oh those 2 days you could do at your home and soon you will se a lot of progress do 2 muscle workout like chest and then biceps the same day
I was hoping I would be shredded by the end of the video.
That would be a good video!
hahahah good stuff man! keep them coming. I subscribed
Haze VEVO, you would've gotten a thousand likes if more teenagers were here
Me too brah looool
@@mayowaade879 because teenagers are more active in the internet community...i get it....
Summarize
1. Track what we are eating
2. Switch to a more cal deficit diet
3. More cardio
4. Powerlifting
5. Make sure you give yourself time.
Thank you.
Cheers boy
Love i
Thank you!
John Clinton thank you! I’m not patient...
I lost 2 percent of body fat by just listening to the instructions. 💪
My voice be gold....lol.
I lost only one percent, all bodies are not equal. Thanks anyway.
😎 3, WE ARE NOT SAME BRO
@@user-gb9il9zk2b man your just "built different "
@@sussybaka9937 you’re.
I'll save you all time, Eat clean lift weights and do cardio.
And don’t rush it, also I don’t eat clean it’s not a requirement
@@PaulRevelia it is a requirement if you don't enjoy heart disease , or diabetes 😉
Cardio isnt required for losing fat...
no but to get shredded you will almost certainly need to do some.
Lost weight first (fat(, retaining as much muscle as possible. Eat in a small calorie surplus meeting your macros, cardio if you feel it's necessary i.e you go over your calorie limit
OMG I almost turned this off waiting for him to say something else as the #1 most important thing to getting shredded. Then he said giving it enough time. This was the one thing I had been missing for 38 years. Tried every diet for 6,8 or even 12 weeks and saw some results but could never look like the guys in the magazine. Then when I did my first five month cut I was amazed what those last few months do. And I didn’t change anything else other than just the duration
Time 👍
Matt E this is where I’m at! I workout VERY regularly, do lots of core work and have a stronger core, eat quite well - in caloric deficit and drink lots of water and teas... but was wondering where the heck is this shred? Thanks for the encouragement xx
@@PaulRevelia that is the answer I am looking for. thanks.
I feel like this was the clearest information I’ve been able to take in and so quickly versus the years of free reading and being so confused and overwhelmed by all the different info out there. Thank you for your clear delivery and helpful information
I'm soon to be 68 , exercised pretty much all my life but never got cut the way I wanted . I've still not given up and started using crunches for my cardio along with my diet after dropping 22 lb's I think I'm getting there .
Just keep
Going thats awesome
Now you going to be 70. 💪💪💪
I'm going back to my youth for what worked for me. Weights in the morning, and cycling 30 miles a day. Best shape of my life and the happiest. Working for my health instead of money..
Solid approach
What age are you referring to? I do weights in the morning and either sprints or run 4-8 miles in the evening. Is the best it’s gonna get?
30 miles a day?
@@Lakerboy2489 Nah that is B.S. It would take over and hour and you would be overtrained in no time.
Ronald Harrison *thanks for the honesty.. whole lotta capping going on
Just subscribed. I’m 205 pounds and about 32 percent body, after watching this video, I feel like the information/experience you have and the style of your delivery will help me continue my journey. Looking forward to binging the rest of your content.👍🏾💪🏾
I lost 40 lbs in 4 months. After having done it, I realized that I made a big mistake. I was pretty cut but I lost too much muscle. Keep in mind I was only lifting my body weight at the time and I didn’t life weights at that time yet. I also wasn’t taking in enough protein throughout the day to keep as much muscle on my body as possible.
This really hit home for me... after watching countless videos on how to lose weight and 12 week challenges this is what I needed to hear as someone who has been stuck at 120 pounds overweight and climbing. I have gained 80 pounds in the last 4 years and I'm determined to lose it all. Good luck to the rest of you and thank you Paul!
Happy to help!
Good luck man ! I can’t pretend I know. How it is to want to loose weight but you can do it bro !
The most important thing is consistency . Make sure you stay on it , every week no matter what .
One of the best, most direct, honest and accurate videos on this subject I’ve come across. The concept of time is so so important and so often ignored. Thank you for some great reassurance
I appreciate the feedback 💪
It takes some dedication but it is worth seeing your body change! Thanks for the info 👍

Minutes 7-10 are the most realistic and useful advice I’ve seen on CZcams fitness community.
Wow 😮 thanks 🙏

This was super-helpful.
Thanks a lot for the honesty Paul.
Thanks for cutting through all the Bro Science. Everything you've laid out here is 100% spot on! Keep making a difference, sir!
Glad you enjoyed it
I agree 100 percent. I've been a trainer for over 6 years now and the number 1 problem people face truly is consistency. I have so many people who will go a few days on and many days off a regimen. There's usually only a handful of people who succeed, but when they do it is always caloric deficit, consistency, and mix of cardio and weight training. Also some, like you mentioned, can do it with little to no cardio; most with some form of cardio outside sessions.
Thanks for the feedback
Barely discovered this page. I love it. I enjoy this channel just as much as I enjoy AthlenX. I’m 5’5. I use to be 334lbs almost 2 years ago. Now Ive been struggling between 190-200lbs. My BMI is 25%. Trying to get to 15%. Hopefully following this channel will give me those extra tips I need for this last 20-30lbs. I gotta admit this has been the hardest part of my journey. These last 20-30lbs. I’m starting fresh today. I can’t wait to take in more of your knowledge bro. Thanks a lot.
You’re the best!! So clear and straight to the points unlike other CZcamsrs who would talk about their life style and forget to talk about points
Ok, I think this is the best Fitness video i have seen in my entire life. And trust me i have seen alot. Dude is straight up honest.
Thanks 🙏
Really good explanation and makes total sense the most important part I took from this video was that it takes time and I realized that I am getting leaner but I see that losing body fat got slower as well thanks for this vid!
I agree with that 100%. I am currently on a cut myself and I preach simplification to my clients. 1. Don’t try lose more than 1% of your body weight per week.
2. Choose low calorie foods you enjoy
3. Train as if you can still build muscle.
It’s simple but unfortunately not always easy
The GOAT. Keeping me calm and collected through the last 5 months. Thanks. Almost there. Just those last few lbs now. Woop.
Let's go!
Thank you!! After about 4 months I’ve lost 50 pounds and am at that point where I need some Mr. Miyagi patience!! LOL things are starting to slow down and the weight is not moving down as fast. Thanks for putting this into perspective. I’ll keep up the push and clean eating and cardio!
Best video i've seen for this! Track calories and take your time, add in a safe cardio when it's needed! Starting with unrealistic notions is a morale killer, so anything you can do to engineer it off the list of potential speed bumps is pretty wise! Good content.
Appreciate the feedback
One of the most sort out videos out there, not recommending any products, no bullshit just the truth. Thanks man. Very high quality content.
Thank you.
New to your channel but absolutely love how engaged you are with your subscribers, how u answer everyone, and how much detail you include. Your great, thank you so much. You seem very passionate about what you do. Love it.
Yes I enjoy the community wish we had better tools
So professional, so clean, so easy to understand. Finally someone who makes this topic clear and simple, not overwhelming ! Thank you for that! Subscribed! (Oh and I think I am one of the blessed ones - based on my first competition experience - that I lost my body fat so fast that now i keep my cardio to minimum during my second prep ! More energy and less injuries and exhaustion, yay! )
Thank you for the feedback!
I subbed off the energy of your intro! I'm all in. I'll be 40 this year and I want to be 40 and F**king Fine!
The "Time " philosophy . Dead on accurate. CONSISTENCY IS KEY
This is the most thorough body fat video I've seen. Much appreciated!
Haven’t even gotten super far into the video and this is the first I’ve seen I just really like the vibe you put off
Damn thanks 🙏 really appreciate the feedback
Paul Revelia ofc, I feel like there’s always so much negativity around the fitness industry these days and a lot of people bashing each other but I just get a good genuine vibe from your vid and it’s inspiring
True he’s pretty chill and nonjudgmental unlike certain fitness youtube guys
I find myself watch every video you put out. I like your “bite size” video style. Salute to one particular word in your video about fantasy cheat day - “I’m a coach, not a youtuber”. You certainly live up to that.
Agreed!!
Thanks glad you find them helpful!
Hui Yang that's true
I watch a lot of fitness oriented videos, both for getting good quality information and for motivation. This is the best video I've seen till date. I really don't have much words to say.
Well that’s so nice thank you
I appreciate how chill you are. Sometimes these you tubers try to be way too over-energetic and it can be annoying. Plus, Accurate info from the 2-3 vids of yours I’ve seen so far.
Happy you’re here
Thank you for posting this!! I am trying so hard right now....as always, great encouragement!!!
very welcome!
Thank you. I needed to hear this since I'm not seeing the results I want after just 9 months of strength training.
Awesome Daniel.
Thank you, it really makes sense, the fact that you said life is not only about working out, some like that, and accountability, so much much better way to put it down over the process.. love it
Been reading some of the negative comments...
Ignore them, it's part of this platform.
Well presented video. No shortcuts really. Do the work.
Doesn’t bother me, just reveals their character
I live in brazil, you channel is superb!!! don´t bother about negative complaints!!! you are very helpfull!!! thanks a lot to share this video with us. best regards!!!

i discovered the great paul last week from someone reposting a video and ive been binge watching ever since
I appreciate that!
This channel is not for naturals. Misleading content.
Why have I never heard your #1 tip before? It's so simple and common sense it's hard to believe no one ever talks about it. Great video. Just what I needed. No nonsense. Thanks Paul.
It’s not that sexy!
so glad paul i came across your viedo/im comping next march for body transformation your viedo has kept me foucused.two years ago i was 110 kgs now sitting on 70.8 kgs gained muscle and down to 7per cent body fat.63 years of age.loving the new person i am.thanks again kevin williams melbourne australia.
Great advice! Just came across your channel and I like your style 👍 90 days is NOT enough time for MOST individuals. Totally agree
I appreciate the feedback!
Very true. I've remained consistent while going on my third month. Despite seeing obvious progress, I'm still not where I need to be. I'll say a couple more months and I'm there.
New to your channel but this was great! Thanks for keeping it real bro!
Thanks I appreciate that
Finally someone that cuts to the truth of the matter. Great video - short and sweet. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, I absolutely applaud the 8:22 moment! „We have to plan for life to happen“. Thanks for this humane perspective on weightless/get-shredded/get strong/optimizing-journeys...
Thanks Lynn
Thank you for keeping it real, and saying it may take more than 90 days so many youtubers make it seem very obtainable to get shredded in 6 weeks, but it gets harder as you shred down atleast for me doing it naturally they don't say what extras they are taking which is fine but be up front and don't give people false hope thanks for the advice keep up the great content
You are welcome
As a young health professional, I'm SO grateful for this video. It's so common to deal with fad diets, and 6,8,10-week "challenges" in the fitness industry. I always try to give my clients the honest answers to their questions, but when it comes down to it a lot of people just don't like hearing that it takes TIME, and that there's no magical quick fix to shred body fat. This video is honest and to the point, and doesn't sugarcoat anything. I'd love sharing a gym with trainers/coaches like this; people that tell it like it is and people that know from experience. Big ups for the video, thanks.
Thank you so much Logan.
So....this is the first video on the topic where someone was speaking realistically! No "one size fits all" recommendations. I appreciate that.
I've watched 2 of your videos and I appreciate that you emphasize the time element. It's the one thing I've only recently accepted in my lifestyle.
Great video.....helpful and informative...keep up the great work ...going to subscribe now
Nice to see a natural bodybuilder for a change
Thanks Ryan.
Great channel. You’re one of the only real people who tells the truth of losing body fat and exercise. Thank you. Keep going.
Thank you!
So refreshing to see such brilliant, to the point, factual content! Great stuff Paul.
Gold content really recommend everyone to watch the entire video. 💯💯💯
Thank you 😊

Oops lol didn’t see this coming
Great motivator! These videos get u over the hurdles we come across while in the game. I’ve been doing this for a long time. U young bucks will appreciate these vids as u get older and realize u can’t eat what u want. Shredded in your 20s is thumbs up...... shredded in your 40s and up is amazing 😉
Great vid!
Glad I can help!
Thank you for not posting a 3 minute vlog intro of you at the gym and getting right to the point of the video. You have a new subscriber.

You’re very welcome
In reality it's all difficult to lose weight but what helps you achieve it is dedication determination and knowledge.. Video isn't misleading he's just giving you some pointers. 👊 good video bro
There is work involved yes, once you set your life up it's not hard. It's just hard for most to make the initial change.
Wow, you are the type of fitness youtuber that I value! Straight to the point with up to date knowledge and with your expert opinions to lean us in our specific goals.
Subbed!
WOW thanks
Great great video!! I tried applying to have you as a coach and didnt realize its not going to work for a smartphone so gonna see if i can find a laptop and go from there.
I was thinking i honestly have all the info i need on here but 1. Theres something to be said for having a coach and the encouragement and accountability and 2. You deserve to be paid for the great work you do and you give so much for free ❤️

Nice explanation!
All that I heard was “discipline”, “discipline”, and more “discipline”... that’s the important thing to have ! Agreed! 👍🏽
Well said
Common sense advice.
Whenever I go on a weight loss plan, it starts off well but I then back pedal. I must change things up as I go but sometimes just plain forget to... as silly as that may sound.
Not silly
I do the same thing; two steps forward, one step back.
Started dieting and exercising back in 2013, loss and gain, but in the last year refined my regime and I'm 172, best shape ever
Excellent video. Its amazing how many people out there are uninformed about loosing fat
This was exactly what needed to hear. No bs, just straight facts.
Glad to hear it!

Getting shredded is hard work especially when you’re not motivated to do so.
Hell Yeah
Hey please help. I am stuck at a 24.6% bodyfat percentage but im losing about 1.5 pounds a week. What do i do from here. I weight train 3 to 4 times per week and my macros are high protein, moderate carbs, and low far... Please please help.....i am a 5 foot 7 male
Not hard just starve
It's pretty easy if you are motivated. At least for me
Yeah I'm having difficulties myself on staying consistent, I have no true motivation... Plus life kinda keeps u busy at times
excuses , make decisions and stick with them
Very informative. Everything you mentioned here was something I learned acquired through years of trial and error. I am very close to reaching my goals. And it’s great to watch this to get my focus on track.
Awesome thanks
Wow! You are a very knowledgeable man. Thank you for sharing this very useful information ☺
High protein, low carb, low fat diet...cardio 3 days a week and be in a caloric deficit.
Not how I do it but certainly a valid approach
Good job thanks for keeping it real!! 😎
You are very welcome thanks for the positive feedback!
Paul Revelia you got it... I'm starting keto & intermittent fasting & trying to see how lifting weights (in fasted state) effects things... Do you know if there are any studies published on this content?
Amazing One Man 🙌👊 Just the motivation i needed ❤
Dude! You Rock! Love your videos. I've watching many good trainers on CZcams but you fit and make sense to fitness.
I appreciate that!
I am skinny fat. My weight was at 115 lbs at 5'2". I had excessive fat on thighs and stomach. No matter how I tried cutting calories didn't do a thing for over a year lost a few lbs ...I tried fasting don't eat from 6 pm until noon the next day and now at 101 lbs lost fat in stomach and thighs no exercise and ate whatever I wanted just mindful of carbs. Now I will continue and most days eat one meal a day will add at training to develop more muscle .. counting calories for me did absolutely nothing so I am sold on fasting.
Thank you for this comment. I’m skinny fat as well, only 4’11 and 102 lb, same way lots of belly fat and under arm fat.. but if I keep losing weight Im afraid i’ll be too skinny and I can’t stand being hungry at all times. Just trying to cut on some carbs is what have worked just to feel myself lighter but still I feel i have the same lose belly after 6 months of weight training and some light cardio. I cant seem to find many skinny fat people comments.
+Fanny Coughlin and Kay, good comments. Your focus should not be on cutting calories, or even on the side of diet. The best thing for “skinny fat”, is usually a problem of “under fit”. You need to build more muscle. More fitness does not come from the kitchen. It comes from moving your body and challenging muscles. Good luck!
@black sparrow don't worry, women naturally have lower testosterone so they won't "bulk" up as easily, being toned is a myth so I recommend for you to start going slightly heavier with more intensity.
Thank you for stressing about the "stalls". Its really important to understand that and still stay consistent.
That's the hard part!
Great video bro! Positive and inclusive of the various systems and programs that are on the market. There’s many ways to get the results, find what works best for you and find help when you get stuck. It doesn’t have to be hard....of course it’s going to be challenging but not out of reach for the average person 👍🏽 keep up the great content 👊🏽
Thanks 🙏

Great stuff man! Breaking down a ton of fitness myths, ya love to see it.
Excellent video...I also enjoy lifting and regarding cardio; for me I have found that substituting plyometric supersets for steady state cardio brings me results much quicker and for me I find it much more fun too.(I live on the beach so this is my Go To routine: 1.) Swim out to the breakers and body surf back in 2.) 25 pushups in the sand 3.) Repeat 1.), 4.) 50 mountain climbers, as in 50 for each leg, 5.) Repeat 1.), 6.) 25 bend and thrusts/for more advanced do 25 Burpees where you jump and extend your arms to clap your hands above your head. Repeat 1 - 6 with a target of 5 supersets). Also before I got bone on bone in my left knee I used to enjoy doing sprint workouts and did also used to do some modest distance running twice a week...3 to 4 miles.
"Getting really really reamed " lol I'm good I think I'll pass😂😂😂
You don’t know what you’re missing
My question is:
How can you get shredded (loose body fat) without loosing muscle mass? How do you have to eat/train.
eat much protein, do strennght training and get the right amount of sleep.
Eat 2g of protein per kg train every day sleep good and lower stress
continue to train the same way when you are dieting.
Subscribed!! Just found your channel. Awesome info!! Just turned 50 and am going for that "body transformation"! Never too late, right!? 😜💪👊
Thought this might be clickbait, but figured why not? It wasn't - awesome video that deserves all the likes.
