I’m 5’6 and was stuck around 145 for a long time.
Started incline walking on treadmill in my garage with a 25lb backpack.
In a month I was able to get down to 135 and stay there. I did hit 129 at one point but most was water weight.

I’ve been focusing on getting my steps in for the past month. I listen to Paul’s videos on my walks. I’m down 9.5 lbs adding walking and being in a deficit. I’m 5’1 so 9.5 lbs is hugely noticeable. Living in NYC makes walking easier.

Kudos to him, proof that you can do this with level-2 cardio and not kill yourself in the process... but I admit I'd feel a lot better if the pictures had the same lighting. You can see the difference in the shadows that the second pic has the lighting coming from a higher source. Can't tell for certain whether they're taken at the same exact spot (based on wall landmarks), but the lighting in the second is definitely higher up. Look how the shadows in the second photo are longer. There is also less contrast in the first pic.
I've never doubted for a second the benefits and wonders of steady-state cardio, but the pics can lead to questions.

Thanks, Paul!!! I don't doubt the results at all. I can just see how others can be like "Hey, wait a second... " since there is a whoooole lot of trickeration going on the WWW.
People faking lighting angles, pumping, shaving for "after" pics, loading up on sodium... all for before/after pics that were actually on the same day.

I have learn to set the treadmill incline to 4 or 5 and the walking speed. To barely about to run but back it off right before. Basically, if you can talk while walking, you are good. That incline is going to brake you off. You just need 30 mins. Heart beat from 120-130 and you are in the zone.

I hate to be a stickler to the facts, but if you do the math on his estimate of 180g of protein, 200-100g of carbs, and 50g fat and him eating 1800 calories, it doesn't add up, that's why I hate when people talk in macro talk instead of calories. Everyone knows it's calories in and calories out that creates a deficit and at 200g of carbs(his max he said)he was eating 1970 calories and at his lowest at 100g carbs he was eating 1570 calories, that's a huge difference then eating 1800 calories the entire time and just walking to burn fat, that's walking and cutting your diet by 400 calories. fyi 180g of protein(180x4=720 calories)200-100g carbs(400-800 calories)and 50g fat-450 calories if you guys want to do the math yourself. I follow Paul and I'm sure he did the math in his head while he talking and thought there's no way you were still eating 1800 calories with those macros's, but congrats on the weight loss. Just don't like the macro talk because it just confuses people and sets them wrong on calories, like him he was telling people he was 1800 calories the entire time

Hi Thiago. 20k steps per day is great but is that your average and are you tracking with a device? What do your macros look like within that 2300 calories? If you follow general guidance then you should be consuming between 0.8-1.0 gram of protein per day based on your target weight in pounds. Also, are you doing any resistance training? 💪🏻 Dan

      You're either:
      A) not counting your calories properly (most likely)
      B) overestimated your TDEE massively
