    Terrible case made by prosecution. Reasonable doubt everywhere including the possibility the state's witness is a suspect with no solid alibi.

    Beyond a reasonable doubt is a pretty high standard. This prosecution case doesn't appear to be meeting that standard. I don't care to hear "the devil is in the details" ever again. That is not a legitimate legal argument or theory. It is so annoying to keep repeating it.

      @@aurisaptientiael4938 they offered to "set him free" with him admitting guilt... if he didn't do it... why wouldn't he want to fight to clear his name in court, rather than living as a felon. The things this court has not allowed the defense to bring in is amazing.. consider all of it would be cause for a mistrial upon appeal. I'm glad it was a hung jury, but they should have found him not guilty

    If it’s based on evidence he should be found not guilty because wow. This is in no way proven even a little bit. This prosecutor is fumbling all over himself. I think he’s more worried about losing to the man who is defending himself than he is about really paying attention to what he is portraying to the jury

    I believe this guy is going to walk just because of this prosecutor being so bad. I fumbles & he is a horrible storyteller which is what a good closing should be like. I’ve watched a lot of very big trials & this closing is by far the worst. The victims are not going to get justice because of this inept prosecutor. He should not be a trial lawyer.

    I can't imagine a world where 12 people can think the state proved Tucker guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. People get away with murder sometimes - this may be one of those times.

    I question the victim's saying Tucker was not there after saying for over a year she couldn't identify the other attacker. She said she even thought he was a black man. The fact that Tucker and Paula are so close. The fact that Paula was friends with Tucker's wife while he was awaiting trial. She was living in a building around 300 sq ft with no water and after befriending Lauren she has money to travel to Calf. and her story changes.

      The sweating comment...I have to assume you don't live in Florida where the temperature vacillates, often in complete contrast to whatever temperature air they're pumping through the vents. If we want to go that low, the defendant had one front tooth upon arrest. Weather doesn't account for that. The simple drug addict with ptsd you reference is also a veteran. Tucker doesn't seem to have ever done anything that wasn't immediately self-serving...but let's not evaluate him because the prosecutor is gross?

    I wouldn't offer a deal of time served to someone who was involved in a murder. I don't see twelve going for it but people believe what they want despite evidence or lack of it.

      I mean...they offered probation to Travis who admitted to being involved in the murder. The state doesn't have enough evidence, that's why they offered time served, they did not want to take this to trial. It kind of reminds me of the Casey Anthony trial in that, the defense doesn't have to put on a case, but they did and none if it makes sense. If he had an attorney, he would walk, no question. Unfortunately for the defendant, he provided the state with more evidence of his guilt

      @@tj8832 I agree with all of that. I do believe they offered the deal to Travis because they believed, based on the investigation, that he was less responsible for the violence. Legally, however, they're all equally guilty of felony murder. They were all involved, which the defendant's case made clear.
      None of that has anything to do with an evaluation of his personality as displayed.

    Whether guilty or innocent, Tucker, though to have never attended lawschool, sure did an outstanding job at representing himself. The old adage (by Abraham Lincoln) "[t]he man who represents himself has a fool for a client" might not hold true with this case.     The lawyers on tonight who said ty was a great lawyer remind me never to hire them. Its utterly disgusting them saying that. If you think being disrespectful to the court and telling the jury, he was not allowed to have witnesses. Stop. He had no witnesses because of his own doing. It's just disgusting feeding this guys ego. I question court tv"s guests if they think this guy has done a great job. At least the female morning host spoke the truth about how utterly disrespectful this guy was to not only the court but wasting the jury's time with his antics. I guess those lawyers on tonight think it is ok making a mockery out of our courts. Everyone is treating it like a social media podcast. That's how the rule of law breaks down when court is not taken seriously. I mean, a guy lost his life, whether he was an addict or not. Everyone keeps yacking about oh how great ty is doing. Do people even know the man's name whose life was taken from him. This guy ty wants fame. Get better guests on your show.

      I totally agree. I have had to testify in court many times as an investigator and would have never been able to say some of the things he has said. I could no lose my cool and remain respectful no matter what the defense attorney said.
