Thank you for watching!
Watched your how to adjust the brakes on my 40 Ford. Very helpful. Now… how to adjust e/brake
Zach, I just acquired a 1940 Ford Deluxe a few months ago. Love all your video's on this car. Excellent and great knowledge your showing me please keep them coming!
Thanks Steve I appreciate it!
Just learned somthing, thanks.
No problem happy to help!
I was taught that the lower adjusters are intended to center the shoe concentrically with the drum. So technically, you’re going in, out, up and down, until they are centered.
Great video Zach adjustment explained very well. Thank You!
Thanks Bob! I appreciate it
Excellent and informative video thank you
No problem Chuck thank you
Great video. Thanks!
Love your videos. Do you have a master cylinder rebuild video?
I made a tool to center my brake shoes on my 1955 Powell aka 1941 Plymouth chassis. On my Plymouth brakes the bottom eccentrics makes the shoes not only rotate out at the outwards but also upwards. Even with the tool I made adjustment is still difficult.
Zach, I just pick up a set of juice brakes still on the original front axle. My lower adjusters are on the inside of the backing plate. I’m guessing that it’s the same procedure except for a lot of assemble and disassemble of the front tire and drum?
Thanks man. now i just have to find the missing cam.
Great video on Eccentric Brakes. I'm currently restoring a 38 Ford Sedan and upgrading to 39 Ford Juice Brakes. I noticed on the car your working on appears to have new hardware, specifically the lower eccentric adjusters. Where can I find these? Also, the 39 backing plates we have aren't adjustable on the lower mounting pins. They just have solid studs/pins with a round washer at the lower end of the brake shoe. Given the information you share I don't see how these can possibly work without being able to adjust the brake shoes into proper relationship with the drum?? I have great pedal pressure but little to no stopping ability. It seems the brake shoes are only contacting the drum at the very top of the shoe. Any advice you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Zach, you got any information on converting to a three speed. I have a 1951 Ford v8 victoria. I dont like the automatic transmission , its leaking and had it checked too many times. Its costing too much to keep trying to fix it. What transmission to look for. I bought a three speed, has overdrive ,at a swap meet but not sure what year is it from. Any leads would help with. Thanks
Nice job thanks. Can you do a rebuilt of f100 3 speed trans 55-60 ? Thanks
Thank you! I can as soon as I have one to rebuild!
Is this the same type of brakes that would be on a 1951 Ford?
51 Ford would be different, there are some similarities though
So just for clarity they should not spin freely and but should have a small amount of drag even without the pedal depressed? There’s no concern for excess friction and heat if they’re constantly rubbing when driving normally?
Where can you find that tool!?
I got it from Old Yankee Speed
Will 1948 brakes work on a model a
In the rear yes, you’ll need 1948 spindles for the front
Sorry, this video wasn't useful for me at all. 😢
