January, a time for reflection

January is my time to plan out my year and reflect on my past year. I usually view January as a precursor to the new year rather than an actual part of it.
At this time last year I had a plan for how I wanted my handmade business to go throughout the year. But just like that, the universe saw my plan and said "nope! Not this year Amy" and basically upset my life, my plan and everything else.
I didn't give up on my handmade business, but it didn't go smoothly either. I had to pivot and turn, make new plans and bump along and hang on for the ride rather than steer myself.
I did survive it and here I am ready to make a new plan for a new year. I'm just hoping the universe is ready to be much nicer to me this go round, but only time will tell.
