The thing I love about this video from Josh is not just that he's dealing with it in a calm and polite manner, but that you can tell it's not just a front or a tactic, like such things often are. He is showing legitimate respect to the person he's talking to all the way through, without dismissing them or diminishing anything they say. Their opinion is valid and he wants to actually understand what it is. If he actually did say something wrong somewhere, he wants to know about it so he can correct it. He's pretty sure he's right, but the point of this is not about winning an argument, it's just about giving the other person the opportunity to have the discussion. That's the sort of interaction that can only come from a position of real, true maturity and character. This is so rare to see on the internet, and so many people could learn from this.

People want to blame streamers for inciting hate against games because most of the players that complain after that seem to "parrot" a lot of those streamers phrases. The truth is that many players are already frustrated with the game, but do not know how to express their thoughts on it into a coherent explanation. Therefore, when a streamer voices exactly what the player has been feeling for a long time in a way that makes sense and seems to resonate with everyone else, they take that structure and use it to share their own feelings. I know I struggle to put words to my feelings, so it always makes me feel better and more validated when streamers voice their thoughts and it lines up with my own. When I use their phrasing later to voice my own complaints, it's not because I'm parroting them from some sense of loyalty, it's because thanks to them I now finally have the words necessary to voice what I have been wanting to say for a long time. No streamer is ever responsible for killing a game. That's on the game developers. The streamers just act as a voice for the public, and help to give the public a voice to use.

One of reasons why I'm watching Asmon/Zack is the fact that i can improve my English and also watch videos about topics which im passionate about. I was never really a big MMO guy, played a little WoW back in WOTLK, but less than 30 hours of playtime. TERA was the first MMO I really played, and that mixed with Asmon's content has really got me hooked on the genre lately.

Good thing about playing Destiny 2 is you are missing out of the story if you leave and come back. Its all locked behind a season you'll never get to experience again. Oh and more story content is locked behind paywall through the DLC. If you're free to play, you're literally playing for free without experiencing any of the content. don't even get me started on the vaulting of more than half of the zones.

I switched from Anarchy Online to a series of other MMOs and lost quite a few viewers. It sucks, but at least you get to try new stuff and expand on your audience that way.
I'm too late, but this is a quite easy thing. People just don't lke to sacrifice something to get something else (which is usually what you need to do). That's why we right now see a lot of people still playing games and thinking their criticism will be heard. The truth is that the company will only care that you keep playing/paying. The only way to hurt them is by taking your wallet and time far away from them, then maybe they will really think about fixing some things.

on one of nobbels ff14 videos, i remember reading a comment telling him that he was going to starve to death if he didn't immediately return to making wow videos, and that he'd regret playing other games and would come back crawling to wow. I'm too late, but this is a quite easy thing. People just don't lke to sacrifice something to get something else (which is usually what you need to do). That's why we right now see a lot of people still playing games and thinking their criticism will be heard. The truth is that the company will only care that you keep playing/paying. The only way to hurt them is by taking your wallet and time far away from them, then maybe they will really think about fixing some things.
