Thank you for your help in the RC world. When needing some help this is usually the first place I look for answers. Glad to hear about the upgrade to the XL. Last December I purchased an XL but due to reviewers complaining of the 'weak' fuselage I sold it (without ever opening the box) and have been waiting on the upgrade. Glad you are happy with the improvements.

I bought a dart XL a month or so ago it came with a 40a ESC and the rear hatch has the magnets.

I got this from get fpv a little while ago after destroying my rmrc recruit so all of its parts are going into it. When I got it there wasn’t even a description of what was new on it so I was pleasantly surprised that they addressed almost all the issues other reviewer had voiced. Just got inav set up and configured. Only thing about the design I haven’t quite figured out is if I want to use smart audio and crossfire protocol out on the wings I’ll have an extra wire on both sides. Trying to figure out how to run it while still making the wings easy to take off. Any advice would be appreciated. Right now I’m running crossfire in sbus but I’m missing my telemetry lol

Why there are 6 pins connector on the wings while using only 1 servo ???

Can you tell me if the enhanced version is made from EPO (Motion RC states that it is) or is it BEPP foam?
Hey dude. Can you mix n match between v1 and v2 parts. So my fuselage is mostly glue these days but my wings are fine. So ordering a new fuse and swapping the fc and air unit over would be ideal.

Hi Painless. Thanks for this video. Could I ask what glue you used to attach the vortex generators on the wings?
I got the v1 a while ago but haven't flown it yet. Did the folding prop mod that you showed last yr. I got it very cheap during a sale for only £90. I think there have been a few versions of the v1 because my one has magnets on the back compartment, not screws. I've put carbon rods down the length of the fuselage after I watched a video on Uav futures channel. Stu crashed one of these and completely lost the front end. You might want to watch it for its comic value!. Others have had the same happen to them after a 'light' crash too.
I use the good 'ol HobbyKing Foam Safe glue (you can see it briefly at that point in the video).. Hope that helps.

Hi Lee, thanks for the review. I,ve just finished my build (the first I ever done) and I followed your 2023 Inav fixed wing series for the settings. In angle mode the Dart flies flawless but as soon as I switch to manual, it starts rolling left. I don't know what could be the problem. On the bench, in manual mode, all the controll surfaces are perfectly in line each other. Thanks in advace for your help, Simone.
Make sure you have enabled continously trim servos... Happy flying
@@Painless360 thanks for the replay. I've not yet enabled it because at the beginning everybody told me "FIRST the plane need to fly decent in manual mode". That's why. Am I wrong? Please note that in ACRO the plane rolls on the left only at the beginning and than it can be flied decent (I don't understand why). Only in manual I have a consistent and permanet roll on the left.
That's not how I do it. Just follow the steps in my INAV for beginners 2023 series... Happy flying
Lee, I’ve got a technical question. They say, “BEPP material isn’t only crash resistance, but even more important: it’s 100% biodegradable”, but what is it in comparison with EPP, EPO, EPS, etc? Is it a derivative of EPP?
No idea, I know it flies well ;D

Don't the canopy magnets disturb the compass if you would install Ardupilot?
You'd have to use the compass trick I used on the Arduplane/Matek/AR-Wing build I did to make sure any GPS isn't affected..
How would you compare this Dart XL against the AtomRC Dolphin ? Considering a FPV wing and torn between the two. Pro's ? Cons? Thanks
Dolphin is better at endurance, stable flying and wider speed envelope. Plus, more space inside for modern setups.

Very similar flying. The dart XL feels a little more floaty to me. Both are lovely flyers..

Been thinking of getting dart xl soon and been puzzled why are most setups with runcam2 and a separate dedicated fpv cam? Isn't runcam 2 good enough to do fpv as well? Whats the difference, other than slightly bigger latency? Thanks
Most action cameras don't do decent FPV as well. There are devices like the RunCam Hybrid that does a good job at doing both at the same time but uses two lenses to to it. Modern action cameras like the Peanut have image stabilisation that means that it can't do both.. Happy flying!
Hi got mine set to pwm and all my controls work fine but my esc hasn’t gone threw all the beeps so not arming. Iv been outside to try get gps lock with no success. It was just outside my house tho. But I don’t have throttle. Can u help please. I’m desperate?
This model doesn't have a flight controller. If you talking about one you're using (you don't say) then check out my builds and playlists for the one you have.. Best of luck!
How's this updated version compare to the Talon GT Rebel?
Similar builds and room. Different layouts with the Dart being a better glider.. Happy flying!

Mine also did not have drilled holes in the servo linkages :/ took me an hour to burn a bigger hole with a lighter and an extra screw.
Is this for a beginner?
Check out the ZOHD Kopilot series... One of those in a ZOHD Dart is a great way to start.. Best of luck!
