- In this video I'm sharing my thoughts on the Fix My Curls Hair Mists. These are perfumes/fragrances for the hair. The intension of this product was to give us CG consumers, a perfume that's silicone and alcohol free, something to keep the hair smelling good for special occasions.
To be very honest, I don't think this product is for everyone. To the people who enjoy perfumes and fragrances, this would be a great addition for special events like parties, weddings, date nights and other occasions.
I've worn floral bouquet and warm vanilla the most.
You'll find my detailed thoughts in the video.

Your hair looks super healthy, defined, shiny and voluminous! 😍 Please share your updated wavy hair routine.
PS- I started my wavy hair journey because of you! ☺️
My hair has grown out. I've cut off all the high porosity bits. I categorise my hair as medium porosity now.
Medium porosity hair will stay moisturised the whole week. It will not struggle with moisture retention.
It will look much more shiny.
I used to have a big problem with my hair looking dry day 3 onwards. I don't have that issue anymore.
Nothing has changed drastically in my routine. I just kept being patient and doing the things I did before. Now my hair doesn't need much moisture. I don't dc as often. Light products are working very well for me. I'm very careful about how much leave in I use. Less is more for me.
The only issues I face these days would be over-moisturization. When I use a little extra product, my hair gets weighed down.
Stay motivated on your journey. With enough time, you will see your overall hair health improve.
This I can promise you! Patience and consistency is key!
Your hair looks so good! I love your reviews. They are always so clear, no-nonsense and sensible. And relateable! This one is one of my favourites. Looks like an interesting product!
thank you so much!
You're such a saviour Michelle 🥺✌️
I loved the way you explained all these fragrances..the way you pictured them as a character i found it so helpful. I hope to see more videos from you about fragrances..if you're ok with your migraine : )
In that case, I really hope I described them accurately. :)
I don't really have migraines these days, which has made life so much easier. So definitely, could do!
Loved watching this video ❤ will definitely try ❤❤
Thank you Niku! ♥️♥️
I feel i would like to have my hair smell nice. Thank you for your honest review ❤
Yup. I can definitely see the appeal of having pretty smelling hair. ♥️
Hey Michelle! Can you please post a detail review video of Ashba moisture milk?
Hey, yes I'm working on it. :)
Hey, I saw your videos and started CGM and I am thankful to you❤. My only problem is I am getting good curls only halfway down my hairs. Upper portion of my hairs don’t make curls. Can you help me with this please?
This should help

How long does the perfume lasts on hair?
Hi Michelle, can you review northwish curl defining custard. Is it really a one and done product?
I reviewed it in my northwish naturals review video. It used to be called the gel. Now they call it the custard.
It's a light soft hold gel that gives you decent moisturization.
For low to medium porosity hair that enjoys light products and requires a small bit of moisturization, this will work as a one and done.
For high porosity hair that requires heavier moisturization, this will not work as a one and done.
It could be something nice and fancy for hair on special occasions ❤️
I'm thinking parties, social events, weddings, date nights! Something to give you a quick 'pick me up' and boost confidence.
@@MichelleManuel exactly! A boost of confidence 😀
This thought runs deep sis. It takes guts to wear your hair natural. It takes confidence to keep at it, accepting the good and bad days. For parties it would be so quick and easy for me to pick up my straightening iron. So yes, if something gives me that little extra boost of confidence, I welcome it wholeheartedly.
Going natural should in theory boost your self of identity. Like saying, this is me, in my true form. Take it or leave it. But on days when your hair is not conforming, it becomes a real struggle. So yeah confidence! That's the word!
@@MichelleManuel i totally agree! It takes so much to accept our natural hair, to say "this is me in my true form". My hair care cgm journey is part of my self love. Confidence is the word.
@@pujas134 ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hi Michelle, I have a query.
I have started noticing sort of curly hair on my head since a few months now. I never had such texture in my hair before ever.
My hair from head to shoulder has this texture only. And all my new hair on top of head esp that are short length at the front hair line are curling. And the hair from shoulder to bums are very very not even noticeable wave.
My hair can't hold curls even after hair sprays. I have tried the cgm a few times before but it didn't do anything at all, I had to dry my hair, as if I keep my hair damp even for half an hour I catch fever and headache.
Even my husband said that he never saw fuzzy hair on my head before and we have been married for 4 years now. Kindly suggest something. The fuzzy hair are only from head to shoulder, i have verly long hair lower than my waist some of them lower than my bum, and I will not cut them ever. I am just so so confused. Please help .
Hormones can change the texture of hair over time.
A lot of people I know including myself grew up having straight hair. Over time the texture changed. The hair can change in texture every decade.
So maybe you're starting to see a change in your texture because of that.
Cgm is not easy. It takes quite a few tries to get it right. The weight of each product and what your hair needs will also determine the success you see. So maybe don't write it off completely. Come back to the thought of exploring a cg routine later on when you have the time and feel so inclined.
For now if you're seeing small hairs curls up, just smooth it down with a serum or use one of those hair sticks that tame flyaways.
Also when you have time try the bowl method. Might help with long hair. It will give you a more natural look overall.
@@MichelleManuel hello. Thanks I never hear about hair changing texture 😱. I did try the bowl method but my hair have never been able to hold curls even when they were shorter. Maybe i'll try in full summers. Thanks I will get the comb.
hi dear can we use this for all types of hair? mine is treated hair ( straight)
Yes ofcourse
Just make sure you have a serum or oil underneath. It really clings into the hair that way, making it more long lasting
I really love ER hair serum to refresh my curls..but the castor oil smell puts me.off. perhaps this can mask the castor oil smell
Don't spray and apply. Please glaze and scrunch like I do. 7 pumps minimum. It will make the fragrance very vivid and long lasting.
On your recommendation i got the arata protein hair cream. The quantity even tho they say is 100 gms seems really less in the tub.
Anyways is yhere any other protein hair cream/ leave in conditioner that you would recommend ? I found protein hair masks but dont know about the leave ins ..... Watched your protein products videos but there werent many leave in hair cream options
Also. Fix my curls has 2 hair mask moisture and protein ones. And minimalist launched a hair serum for frizz control etc someone compared it to the morrocconoil treatment oil..... Would love to know your review on these
I could be mistaken but these are my thoughts. Are you sure I recommended the Arata curl cream to you directly? If I remember correctly you mentioned you had high porosity hair & that you enjoyed heavy products. Then my recommendation would have been the curl up curl defining cream with the sugarboo mask for your protein washdays. Both put together would give you enough protein. You had commented under my products for high porosity hair video, so I assume you made a note of these recommendations. They were mentioned there.
The arata curl cream is a level 2 ish. It will be too light for you. It worked very well for me when it came to definition. It continues to give me the best definition possible. The only issue I had (on my previous high porosity hair) was moisture retention in the long run. Also updated this info in my very first product favs video.
A good way to check if the brand is cheating you on the amount is to measure the product on a food weighing machine. Arata deliberately uses bigger containers to avoid spilling while shipping. They had mentioned this in one of my reels recently (hair growth serum reel). Either way, I can't be sure if the amount mentioned is correct. I've never weighed them myself.
Next time I open a new container I will check.
When I shot my protein product videos, lots of my newer recommendations were not launched yet. You'll see that I keep updating my content. The new true frog curl cream is a protein product. But again, it may be too light for you.
So for you, I would suggest the sugarboo mask and the curl up leave in, in conjunction.
Even though the curl up leave in is not purely a protein product, with the sugarboo mask, you'll get a good dose of protein. It should be sufficient for you.
Haven't tried the FMC hair masks. They're too expensive. Won't make sense for me to make such a big investment for a video. I have a trial size of the hair masks. I'll be posting a first impressions soon.
Are the minimalist products cg friendly? Not sure. I was interested in their sun protection serum, but I think I saw that they contain silicones.
Hope this helps.
@@MichelleManuel yes I need heavier products. Thought of using the arata protein curl cream only from the pov of fulfilling protein requirement. So I thought of either using another heavier moisture leave in with it OR the re'equil hair mask since it's heavy dc and with protein too. I did note that you mentioned the curl up cream but that's the only other option for a protein leave in that i could find in your content. I could be mistaken here sometimes I get confused with all the videos and products.
So upon checking the ingredients list on the curl up cream. The proteins were mentioned last and that too not many. Hence I thought maybe it's not a very heavily protein focused product.
And that's why I asked
@Divya_B Yes. You're absolutely right. That's why I'm saying to use it with the sugarboo protein mask.
Haven't found a heavy purely protein leave in product yet. :(
Ashba botanics also said for us not to consider hydrolyzed corn to be a protein. So the new ashba moisture cream is out the window too. We're back to having no heavy protein leave in or curly cream. :(
@@Divya_B sorry could you reiterate. Didn't get you. How to avail of the offer? And what's the coupon code?
@@MichelleManuel also try not to post about this coupon code on your social media Bec it's a code you get after you fill a survey. I suppose everyone who is subscribed or have an account got the survey link but if you post on your social then lots of people would end up shopping alot without actually returning the favour of filling the survey. It would be a huge loss to the brand as well to give out so many products for basically free to so many people.
Nimisha/Nemishas are awesome! Side note: For a moment I was like am I the nemisha Michelle is talking about here?😂
Haha, I can imagine. Lol. Shes Nimi. Your Nemi.
Every bit of advice she's given me has bettered my life. She's my angel.
So yeah, all Nimisha/Nemisha's are awesome! Case closed! ♥️
Di, do you know how to deal with split ends? And how to prevent them? During winter, i couldn't care much for my hair (i tried to wash less frequently because of cold) Now there are some split ends. They keep coming back even if i cut them. I don't know what to do.
To remove them, you'll have to cut. I also hacked away at my hair recently.
There are some products that claim to reseal split ends. They don't sound good to me. Cutting them is the best option. You can dust the hair using a few techniques while preserving length.
To prevent them you can do 2 things. Keep them moisturised with a serum. Protect your hair when you're at home. My fav way is to use a long bonnet. I've been obsessed lately. It's comfortable. Doesn't come off. I don't need to tie my hair up underneath the bonnet. I leave my hai open.
When you're going out, try to switch between cute hairstyles and protective hairstyles. A simple braid will help to protect against breakage and splitting. It will also protect against tangling and knotting.
@@MichelleManuel I see. I tried to dust them because i want to keep the length but in a week or two the hair ends split again. That's why I'm worried. (I also bought a long bonnet recently. Can you please make a video on how to put it on without tying hair? No matter how I try, I at least need to put my hair in a very loose pony before putting it on. I tried searching for a tutorial but didn't get any 😅)
@@pujas134 then it may be a few things, not enough lubrication between the strands, abrasion against clothing or exposure to elements?
I'll do a short on how I wear my long bonnet. It protects the hair very well.
oh it could be. i think my hair got less moisture during last few months. They got tangled a lot. i also skipped conditioner and rushed other steps. thank you!@@MichelleManuel
@pujas134 maybe next time you're styling, focus a little more leave in conditioner on the ends?
