Wow, even with nvme, RDR2 load times take ages.
Kinda everything in this vid loads faster from my hdd (got the same seagate), and since windows boot takes like 3secs on my laptop from an nvme drive, i guess somthing is not right with the uploaders nvme drive??
direct storage API isn't implemented yet
@Strider seagate tends to make the best hard drives that load fast
Crazy Windows loads faster than AC Odyssey :-)
Windows itself is smaller in size. It makes sense.
real helpful thank you!
Crazy video! We like this 🇬🇷
wow,i like the style
Seems i'll just get the Samsung 860 Evo 4tb SSD, i need 4tb and more but the M.2 NVMe just isnt good enough in the capacity level yet and to only shave few secs isnt worth it to me, i already have a Samsung 970 Evo 1tb M.2 NVMe for my OS
So it's not too worth the difference in price to get NVMe drive over an SSD given the price difference. Hey, you can always add an NVMe drive in the future if you want.
Yeah, I was surprised. Only seemed to be be a 10-15% gain in real world performance
Very helpful video. I guess I don't need an nvme drive. I'll stick with regular Sata SSDs.
m.2 drive are gonna be improved a lot by the DirectStorage API that Microsoft is developing so it might be worth reconsidering. Heres an article > shorturl.at/vyEF2
So can we say that, although these days PCIE SSD read/write speed is nearly 10 times faster than SATA SSD, when it comes to gaming, the improvement is actually quite marginal?
Yes, we can. Isn't it?
I went from 18 minutes to 40 seconds switching from hdd to nvme on my x58 platform. That's turning it on and waiting for all the programs to load so it wasn't at 100% usage.
So NVME isn't that necessary for loading W10 FROM THE MOMENT YOU PRESS THE POWER BUTTON TILL YA REACH THE DESKTOP (Something this video kinda kills the demonstration "just for in-screen show off")
And barely any changes on games so...Yeah...2.5" SSD stays here for years to come until a major benefit from NVME comes
With nvme barely faster than ssd, ssd is best for the money.
Just checked Newegg. 1 TB SSD is the same price as 1 TB NVME.
m2 is also een ssd but a stick way easier to install then the normal ssd and way faster
strange. is this from the landing page then going into single player or from cold boot ( desktop). my HDD only takes 28 seconds to load into single player from the landing page
Exactly buddy. My windows start is much faster. I think that, all this is marketing 😑
@@xlleduardollxsurvival6848 i don`t fink sow.. it`s matter speed of your hdd, maybe is with 10k rotation not 7500, it`s matter also the memory ram etc.
Holy fudge man.
Why is m2 thing faster than a normal SSD?
my hdd loads within 30 secs and sometimes 25 secs thats insane!!!!
Now get 2 NVME M.2 drives and compare to 2 SSDs with both configured in RAID 0 just for the lols
RAID 0 two NVMEs!? Thats madness 😂😂😂
...Im gonna try it
Ps5 load time RDR2 1:12:D
Next gen my ass)))
RDR2 takes 3 minutes to load on my HDD :/
My dual core intel eh nalla than boot agudhu but win8. 1
my 970 evo + takes 17 seconds how
takes to warranty expires?
i’m going to buy a m2 ssd 240gb
nice!!
Some shity hdd you've tested cause too much time, think your hdd is defective
Il mio hdd con fx6300 è più veloce del tuo😂😂😂
my hdd load windows 10. 15 sec
9, HDD dislikers
HDD is not good
They are good when you need alot of storage and they are cheaper than a SSD or M.2
Good for data, bad for OS and programs
