Cage is one of the acting Goats. And this film is criminally overlooked. It’s truly one of the best films about the futility of consumerism.
You should see what they did with the movie at the tv-release -> DVD-release in Hungary. They took out the camel joke, ruining the daughter's entire storyline.
It was as bad as the Starship Troopers tv-version (all gore removed).
Outstanding movie.

Very thought provoking I must say.
The world moves too fast for us to breathe. This is why we're so fucked up inside. All of us are sick, but just on different levels. When you sit down at a food court and watch people eat, you feel like you're in the jungle with animals.
I realized all of my favorite Nic Cage films have the word man or men in the title.

FUN FACTS about this scene:
1) it was filmed in the food court (RIP) of Old Orchard in Skokie, IL
2) there wasn't a Burger King for MILES. if it's the BK I'm thinking of...that was like 15-30 minutes away (and it's still operating)
3) my uncle (the guy "eating" the burger) said it was The Most Disgusting Thing He'd Ever Put In His Mouth because
a) it was cold and SLIMY
b) he wasn''t the first person "eating" it
c) he was chosen specifically because of his glasses; he had just removed his glasses and was putting them away when the casting director called him up and said YOU. PUT YOUR GLASSES BACK ON. YOU'RE IN.
And a random fact: one of my aunt's friends got to speak with Nic Cage in the archery scene because one of his assistants came up to him and said, "She's been indicted" (or something to that effect) and walked away. Cage was confused, and my aunt's friend got to explain that Martha Stewart was in trouble.
