I have a 4g63t I bought... previous owner said tensioner broke on start up... I pulled plugs and scope said valves hit. I am thinking I might try to machine head and reinstall... what do you think if everything else checks out. I have 16 cars and it gets tough to rebuild and make everyone perfect
That's unfortunate. But as long as you remove the head and have it all checked out, it should be fine. I have seen a good amount of motors that jump and end up being just a bent valve . I would just stress using OEM timing components. I've always had great luck with them. Keep me posted.
@Vega Tuned I will use stock timing components. Doing my homework now and was going to give up on car, but I am seeing so many nice ones, it has helped me out to get my feelings back for her
I can only speak from my experience. I've ran these on my 4g63 with a fp 3052 @ 28psi for 13+ years. 460hp 480tq. Hope this helps. I would recommend l19 or better for applications above 28psi.
Hey man, please reply!!! I’m about to throw my head onto my built block but I’m missing those ring passages. Here you pointed and touched the exact piece I’m missing @2:09. Do you happen to know where I can get them?
I'm almost 100% it's these. But might want to call and double check. www.extremepsi.com/store/OEM-Dowel-Bushing-Cylinder-Block-to-Head-Mitsubishi-Eclipse-90-99.html
@@VegaTuned holy moly, this is the third time I watch your video. I just get a lot of anxiety because I’ve spent a lot of money and I would hate for it to blow up on me or have low compression :( thanks for the fast reply man.
@@dsmjaime I totally understand where you are coming from. Just take your time. You can do it! It's all about the prep with these cars. Use the quality oem part the majority of the time. And follow the instructions especially torque specs and sequence. If you do that you have the best shot at it coming out perfect.
Good work man 👌 I just moved to the WR area and have a Evo 3 I brought from Japan with a spare engine. I want to build the spare 4G so I was wondering where you sent your head? Thanks!
I appreciate it. I had the head gone over by a shop about 1hr away from me. Email dam0nk@yahoo.com and i can get you their info. They are extremely through . I really love the Evo 3. One day I hope to see one I'm future. What are your plans for the head?
@@VegaTuned I’m actually looking to do a full build on it then swap it with the engine I have now in the Evo. I’ll be needing some tuning so I was going to actually hit you up. Even better that I see you have 4G63 knowledge haha. I just want the head cleaned and spec’d
@@CaptTwo6 ok awesome. Its always nice to build a motor on the side. Any questions you have feel free to ask. And If I don't know the answer for sure I can find it.
Nice vidoe bro!
