  • CTCRC Brands Hatch weekend race 2. Rained just before the race which helped the smaller engined cars move up the grid. I spent most of the race in P4 sitting behind the Mini, managed to get right onto him but locked the rear wheels going into Graham Hill bend. Finished in P3 due to a false start from a Mini in front. Thank you to all the marshals.

Wow, looks like maybe you could enter the British Drift Championship for next year! Great drive and thanks for the onboard, was a very fun watch.

Great race amazing driving ! Shocking just how much more speed you gained once you passed the cars

Definitely a car you control with your feet. 4th gear poke was lacking compared to the mini. Heroic driving just to keep that on the track!

love to watch the Imp race. it sounds great and gets down the road properly too, especially past the septic junk. with a little less drifting, that Mini would have been yours 😁

That looked a lot of fun but I'm not sure the 'huge armfuls of oppo' gravel rally mode was the quickest :) Well done for getting past the huge mobile chicane.

An imp in the wet is always gonna be quite tail happy to be fair

Absolutely brilliant driving, the only place where you appeared (to this untrained eye) to lose out is in the start / finish straight as you shifted in to top, almost as though the engine bogged down a bit or the gearing was slightly too long. I’d be fascinated to learn what the real reason was from those who know about these things. :)

      Thanks for the kind words.
It had a bent valve in this race from a spinning valve seat holding it open slightly so very down on power! And yes the ratios in this gearbox were strange, 2nd and 3rd very close, 3rd to 4th was a big jump so it would almost fall off cam. I now have a dog box with much better ratios evenly spaced.
