it is not good Idea to install laminate flooring over the carpet.
you should take the carpet out fix any plywood under it and then lay your underlayment and it is ready to inistall your wood flooring...

You're supposed to put plywood on top of the carpet first. Also it's better to stagger the laminate pieces instead of lining up the cuts.
That's right but it was rasing the laminate and we had to cut the door to be able to close and open but home owner didn't want to cut the door and we explain everything for him before do that .
Can I use craft plywood?
Yes you can but personally i remove the carpet.
you can buy special cleaning liquid for laminate every where.

Lay 1/2 inch plywood tape seems use ridged core LVP over medium pile works fine.
its still a valid solution for renters, in kids rooms that are susceptible to paint and crayon stains etc, to save the carpet

Mi husband installed the laminate floor over the carpet cushion and now the floor is not firm is any way that we can fix this I don’t like when I step on it always moves

Removed the laminate and carpet and fix any loose plywood and then install underlayment and a laminate.

also you should stagger the laminate
How exactly do you stagger them please help me
@@reqininaajean3389 staggering means: say you lay you first row. Once you get to end you have to cut the plank to fit use the piece you cut off to start your new run. That way your seems are not all the same alignment

Actually this laminate was very cheap and every time i used the block with rubber hammer i broked the piece so i had to use my hand 😁😊
