  • Released in 1992 by Ocean, Mr Do! is an arcade conversion of the 1982 classic. More of a bespoke conversion for the gameboy with completely redrawn sprites and animations, Mr Do! is an excellent version, with typically jaunty Game Boy chip tunes, good sound effects and most importantly, a lot of fun! It appears to be quite a rare game to be able to buy boxed with instructions, with only a few appearing on ebay at this time, all at over £100 GBP! One for the collectors this one it seems!
This game is demonstrated using the Game Boy core on a Mister FPGA device, which is 100% recommended for retro gaming enthusiasts who do not want to compromise on system accuracy, benefiting from 'hardware' recreation of the system, far better controller lag times as well as the ability to seamlessly switch between systems in seconds.

I really like the layout you made, with the game info on the right and the screen on the left. This is a cool ideia for an emulator front end....

Cheers! I never know whether having the game full screen is best or to go for something a bit novel like mocking up a CRT or like this with the Game Boy, works well with handhelds I think.

@@HowtoRetro for the game boy this is a very pleasant aesthetics. Seems like everything is in place. Those gameboy games are hard to capture for hd video. If you go full screen the pixels are too large.
