Bro.. I know that this video is 6 yrs old, but this has to be the BEST tutorial I've seen so far on CZcams when it comes Maschine, and other videos kinda made it seem like it's a difficult thing to learn, but the way you laid it out was simple and plain. I'm going back and forth about Maschine Mk3 and MPC Live, and this video helped me a lot. Thanks homie!!!

Sup bro! To be honest its whats better for you.. I was a mpc user but not a true die hard but a fan! maschine has allowed me to bridge the gap between hardware and software and lose all the wires and countless hours of tracking out. It was the best thing I have done thus far. the workflow for ME is unmatched especially after you learn it!! now is the time to buy if you want it they have the mikro for $250 and Maschine for $400 cant beat it bruh!! lemme know if you have anymore questions

the way that i approach the last bar is that, I know that that first kick before he says "IHHHH so in love.... "is the sweet spot, just end the loop right before that kick of the next 4 bars. I try to end my loop as close to that 1 count of the second four bars (if that makes sense)

I appreciate this video man. I just subbed b/c your videos are informative to me as I am somewhat new to maschine. I had no idea that the shift knob would fine tune your knob parameters. I am primarily into electronic dance music, but I might make some hip hop beats for practice inside maschine b/c I feel it would be great practice. I love that song you are sampling in this vid bye the way. Can't wait for part 2! Thanks

Nice work homie....Boiiiiiiii dis is quite extensive, lmao. Either way, to stop ya sample immediately instead of letting it play out, theres a power button looking thingy in the top right hand corner of the DAW. Press it and it stops the sample immediately. Press it again to enable the DAW again. That little button is right next to the level meter. I saw you was getting tired of the sample playing so I thought I'd just add that. Didn't know if you were tracking on that or not

I'm not the person that this was intended for, but I can give you my own personal opinion, and that opinion is how ever is better for you homie, if you wanna alter your sound in ableton then render it and import that's a good idea, you have more filtering options in ableton than in Maschine, most of the time I make beats personally I render in groups and import into ableton to alter the sounds myself. But you need to find whats best for you.

you do not want to run the software from an external harddrive. you will experience crashes and slow performance. you also dont want to run your samples/sounds/kits/instruments from an external hard drive. you could store them there, but when you find a sample you like i would copy to your desktop and access it from within machine through there.
