    Stoni is on it! Cutting through all kinds of BS to call it exactly how she sees it... She's a "Subject Matter Expert", and in my opinion, she is spot on! Love that she get's Ski to talk about/explain some of the things in his flow that aren't automatic. She's pulling out some of the essential details that would other wise be lost. LOVE the free advice near the end as well... She's speaking from experience... It's always the people that don't have any experience that don't think they need any. "Take Classes"... Yes!... I love seeing professionals encourage others to learn more and perfect their craft. STONI ROCKS!!!

    I don't know what the fuck the problem is on these comments. I completely disagree. Honestly they just sold me with using Maschine in the DAW. I stayed away from this and other similar systems (even the MPC) because I was so used to doing it myself from the DAW, And he's right, it takes me a lot longer! I also don't like having two separate rigs for performing live, in other studios, or in the DAW. I use Cubase, not Ableton, but now I understand how I would still integrate Machine without multiple interfaces and workflows. This is the first time I am seriously considering getting it.

    Sad I missed this event. Although both of them are legends and very good at their game, I wish there was someone that comes from a training/teaching background to explain things to the crowd while these two can focus on doing what they were doing.
    21:00 and on are invaluable thats some really good advice at the end of this video.

      @danieldorfsman2137 Před 10 lety

      I attended and there were definite issues with the way it was run. Ski Beatz was great but I wish the moderator reigned things in a bit. A lot of people asking production questions instead of Maschine questions and she let those people keep going and going. And the whole thing was mostly Q and A. There should have been more explanation. I already have maschine but i was hoping to learn some stuff and that didn't happen really. It was fun to see ski beatz though.

    No disrespect IceBreaker165, but using anything is technically "sampling" unless you've invented the instrument or sound used. Sampling is just what music creators do, who maybe can't particularly play instruments or recreate what they want to use. However, I think I understand what you meant. Respect to you!

      Yeah right. I'm MPC for life dog. MPC would murder that garbage. It's so funny that the MPC 2000xl came out in like 1992 and to this day in 2015 they still can't make a sampler that does a better job. Most software samplers are not even samplers at all. LMAO - All these software company's are Akai's bitch !

    • @famousarmystudio
      @famousarmystudio Před 9 lety

      junelopez215 this goes straight to what Stoni was saying. "Learn". First off neither the MPC series hardware or Maschine produce any sounds. Both use converters. The MPC uses its own converter on the output and input. Maschine uses whatever converters you purchase (the uneducated will call this a soundcard). It's so tiring hearing people talk about MPC sounds better. The truth is the MPC sounds unique due to it's input and output converters from analog to digital then out from digital to analog. Maschine will however sound as good or as bad as your converters. You could spend $100 and get a cheap usb IO (converter), or you could spend $3000 and get a very high end IO. The trick to the MPC is that, compared to todays technology, the MPC converters are fairly low quality, but that is why it has "that sound". The same goes for the sp1200 with its 12bit sampling. The sp1200 uses its own converters on the input and output, so its has its own unique sound. Before anyone flames me, I do own and have worked with all of these machines mentioned.

      Sean Florentz ive got an mpc tpuch and dont get me wrong, i like it. but theres so much fluff. i feel like since ive never used an older mpc (1000, 2000xl, etc) a lot of it caters to those users instead of someone like me who learned to produce on a DAW.
