If Gandalf had defeated Saruman at Isengard, Prince Theodred would not have died at the Fords of Isen and would likely have led Rohan's forces to Gondor with Elfhelm and Erkinbrand. If Gandalf had defeated Saruman he would taken the palantir to Rivendell and given it to Aragorn or Elrond.
The Hobbits would have been safe in Rivendell before the Nazgul found The Shire. The Nazgul might have killed Lotho and Lobelia for the ring, hearing Baggins on the end of Sackville-Baggins they would expect them to be 'Baggins'.
The Fellowship might not have been formed as they would have likely set off before the Council.
Aragorn might have gone straight to Gondor or he would not be at Rivendell when Boromir arrived.
The journey back to Gondor would be safer, but he would not have arrived with allies, and the Corsairs of Umbar would still attack Gondor as would another gorce so it might be almost worthless as Gondor benefits with Aragorn arriving when he did.
There would be benefits and negative effects if Gandalf had defeated Saruman at Isengard.
