That plastic will not hold up, but not all cheap doors are bad. I bought the Hen Hut Automatic door for 65 dollars, and is both made out of metal and has been reliable. If you are looking for an affordable and quality chicken coop door, I would recommend The Hen Hut.
agree 100%
sensitivity for light sensor is not adjustable. Chicken get locked out because the door always shut too early in the afternoon, and I can't adjust it or train chicken to come back earlier.

In mine eperience it is working great after altering it with a zip tie and now works great. The one that i bought was a green variant and closes around 22:15-22:30. For 15 euro's it was a good deal.

Found a similar one if not the same one on Temu, i will be gone for 2-3 days so i dont need one that will last me a long time but i do need one that will ensure the safety of my chunky chickens at night lol

Mine is closing but not opening. Have taken it apart..not sure why it's going down n not up. Annoying . That's what you get for cheap stuff I guess.

I have a brooder box for mama hen and her hatchlings to put a door on and have it inside the electric ⚡️ fence run. How was this door was thinking about using this for the cheap cost and installing a door on the brooder box so the chicks can go in and out as well as mama hen.

@@everwildmh thank you. I have family members who are on process of getting chicken coops and they would like the automatic doors. Actually I would love it for my large dogs too but that us probably an extensive and expensive search for another day
