- Hope you enjoy this time-lapse of building this backyard chicken coop! It took a bit longer than expected but we're happy with how it turned out, and so are the chickens! I went with yellow because we wanted some color and were inspired by some of the traveling we've done. I don't know the exact cost but it was somewhere in the ballpark of $700 or so worth of materials.

The fact that he didn’t use techno music as the audio deserves a like in itself. 👍
I like that you didn't use a $100k wood workshop to do this like some videos. Just using your skilsaw for most of it gave me a little more confidence in my project. :)
Ha, yeah I definitely don’t have a fancy setup. Honestly you could probably do the whole job with a skilsaw. Thanks for watching and good luck on your project!
Indeed! I'm a skillsaw/speedsquare kind if carpenter myself and I appreciate the simplicity!
I love that he can actually use the tools and knows to simply flip a 4*4 over to cut it all the way with a circular saw. I see people using hand saws and other stuff and one guy had some Japanese pole saw or something .
Awesome build, quick question. On the side where the two vents are do you think modifying the bottom to have a panel open up to allow for clean out would be feasible? Or do the plans already have that built in?
You can do this with a handsaw, hammers and nails if you wanted too.
Thank you! I just bought the same plans and was so glad to find a video showing how to build the coop!
Thank you for taking the time to film this, it really helps me figure out what I want to do✌️
I IT!!!!! That is exactly the type and size I want mine to be! Thank you for sharing!!!
I've been a builder for many years and have seen quite a fair bit of sheds. The plans in ryan's package czcams.com/users/postUgkxB7IXYxLzb_Ichhe45zM3Im5xfEiSp9vB have some of the nicest looking sheds i've seen in a while.
best one ive seen so far, simple enough for a new woodworker to do.
Thank you! And this is definitely a great project to tackle. Not many tools required.
Awesome. Love the simplicity. Not crazy like some others
Great job, this is the best chicken coop design imo
Good job. Nicely planned and done.i like the colors
내가 본 동영상 중 닭집 최고!!!!!

영상 잘봤습니다~^^
Bel lavoro, COMPLIMENTI ❤️
Dankeschön für die schnelle Vorführung. Vielen herzlichen Dank ❤
I was just looking into getting a coop, but a coop this size from overez cost nearly $2000! so seeing this makes me so happy
I bet you have some happy chickens in that awesome coop.
Looks like exactly what I need . Nowadays though , I might want it camouflaged .
Good morning from uk just found you i now you were no lost i had chickens along time a go but still look how guys make the sheds for birds and all are diffrent good luck keep safe
I love it , turned out great 👍🏻
Love this design.
Dream house for every chicken in the world👏🏻
Absolutely Amazing. This is the best chicken coop design I have ever seen. Functionality and the look both fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
We elected to build our Chicken House 24” off the Ground…the whole House & 10’x 24’ Run are 1/2” Hardware Clothed Completely Under & Up All Sides of Run so it is very Secure. My only Issue (didn’t see this coming) is my Girls occasionally Lay Eggs under the House…I can’t Crawl under it, so I won’t do that again. House is 8’x 8’ Floor but 12’ West Wall & 5’ East wall so we have a decent Pitch on roof…we have lotsa Rain here, so went with Green Metal to match our Home & Garage. You did a Superstar Job on your House!! Wonderful Video too!!!
@@WeekendRenegades hola muy lindo el gallinero . Me gustaría saber que medidas son porfavor .gracias
All things aside, gotta respect this guys willingness to so this.. and despite making past errs with markups and what not, good for him for taking accountability and making positive change. We'll done to both of you.
Great tutorial! Love the simple design you made it look so easy to build!
One suggestion I always make is to use natural wood sticks as roosts of various girths so your chickens don’t get arthritis. Makes it just a little bit more comfortable for them.
Thanks! And yeah I've heard a lot of different things around that particular debate with roosts. But from what I've read 2x4s with the 1 1/2" side up make for perfect roosting bars as long as you get rid of the sharp corners. I'll look into the arthritis thing though, I haven't heard of that.
Wow that's a fancy coop windows too great video
we bought the same plans and built the same coop. we added a cattle panel hoop house w a turnout, and they love it.
nice job
Nice!
Totally agree, limited wood needed. Well done looks damn good...proud! From the United Kingdom ❤
Pretty good video. I would only add one thing. You might want to add drip edge if you are going to shingle your roof. Take it from an old roofer
I paid for 6 chickens. I live in DC and have a decent sized backyard. I needed a simple plan like this. I can adjust for my needs and the tools I have which is basically a saw and a hammer and a bucket of nails. Thanks.
This was a beautiful build.
Thank you!
Love this idea.simple ...I am glad I found ur channel.thanks for sharing.new subscriber here from canada.god bless
i like my ryobi stuff for around the house too, great video man
lol straight monster bro, great work.
Hopefully my project is that successful.
Good job on the chicken coop🏡🐓
Yo! Nice job man! I built the same exact coop and it took about a month. I thought painting was going to be the death of me lol Your coop turned out great!
Thanks! And yeah painting is not my favorite. Thanks for watching!
Hello Sir. Can I ask You what was the size on this chicken coop ? Listing on etsy doesn't say the dimentions and for how many chicken is the coop.
Harika bir proje elinize emeğinize sağlık 1👍🔔😊
Building mines just like it don’t buy plans just build as I go it will be just like it once finished love the your model 😂👍🏼
Great and helpful tutorial 👍
You make it look easy! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
I have some chickens. I love them so so much. They are like my babies.
They live with us in our Apartment. We do not have enough space to make any coop for them. They are free though. Most of the times they stay in our rooms, on our beds, laps.
Its my dream to make a coop, a tiny beautiful chicken palace for them 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Adorable 😊
Wow that is the coolest chicken coop ever well done 😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you!
Great build
Great idea 💡

Great Video inspiring stuff
Tres jolie réalisation bravo
Like the egg yolk and egg shell paint scheme.
Ha, I didn't even realize. The original paint choices were inspired by a recent trip to Mexico. But, egg yolk and shell is pretty good too. Thanks for watching!
Super chicken coop. I like it very much. I will build the same.
Thanks amazing job 👏 🙌
very nice job looks great.
Pretty cool
I really like that. We are just starting with chickens. Do you have the building plans? I would like to build that very coop.
Awesome!
Nice job, I love it
Thanks!
Maravilloso 👍
You are the best !
Good job, bud.
Nice chicken coop, I would've gone with a tin roof and the color red (yellow is too loud imo). Overall a very nice build, thanks 4 sharing.
Thanks for watching! I wouldn’t typically go for yellow but wanted to do something a bit different.
Where do I buy the plans??? Absolutely inlive with this coop! You've done a great job
Good job✌👌👍
hey amigo great JOB!
I like your work :)
Nice coop! Where did you get the windows? They are perfect and the coop is just perfect!
Nice building
Bill of material?
Great music choice😄
Nice work.
Thanks!
Great job.
Thank you!
Greats job. I need one
Omg it is nice.
I'm converting an old unused shed with a new metal roof and good wood into a large chicken coop with 2 doors and a nesting box. Nice to work along with someone!
Good luck with the project!
Nice video
Complementi, veramente bello.
Really enjoyed video. Do you have a list of supplies?
Thank you so much for this.
Thanks for watching!
The chickens actually prefer the 2x4s for perching oriented the other way, so they're on top of the wider side of the wood.
yeah because in the wild there are lots of 2x4's for birds to perch on. LMAO and of course you asked the chickens what their preference was.
Oh did you ask them then?😅
@@bambamnj I was shocked when I was told this as well but it was true. Natural isn't always best for farm animals they have adapted to the easy life and he is actually right they do prefer it. Try it with your chicks too
Nicely done 👍
Thank you!
Beautiful can you tell a measure or did you sold plan
Awsome..The most simple, yet less expensive equipments used for a coop I've ever seen on CZcams . Really I like it.. can u provide the drawings plz?
Wauw beautiful
Did you treat the coop floor with anything (for damp protection or the like), before putting the shavings down?
If you did this again, would you paint the pieces before assembling or not?
Predivno.
Good job !👏👌
Thank you!
Nice work. I really like you showing the process and the tour at the end. My son and I are looking to build a coop the the next couple weeks and my wife says she likes this one the best. One Question: what kind of lumber did you use for the exterior trim 1x4's? Can it just be treated wood that get painted, or does it need to be cedar? Trying to see if could build this for $500 with lumber prices having gone down in our area just recently and I already have all the roofing materials.
Pretty sure I used something like this for the siding. It doesn't need to be cedar, if it's treated wood and you paint it and caulk it with exterior grade paint and caulk you should be good. But, if you're trying to save some money you could always buy 1/2" or 3/4" plywood and rip it down to make all your trim. Wood prices are weird right now so I'm not sure how much that would save you. Thanks for watching!
@@WeekendRenegades Thanks czcams.com/video/eL7BIGnj4SA/video.html
nice job
I'm doing this with two saw horses & a borrowed skillsaw this weekend.
Good luck!
Very good 👍👍🙏
Great video!!! Where did you get those windows from?
Cool👍👍👍
Great coop, im making a new one soon with a sliding out muck tray as easier to clean, my trouble is finding the right weather coating for the plywood as over they years I have tried many products but none ever seems to last.
Liquid Rubber has worked great for me
@@shannongamble2715 hi there, I shall give that a go, I'm from Wales in the U.K and the weather is so mixed here its been really hot for sometime and now its hammering down with rain, I have tried most weather coatings even the best that is recommended but nothing lasts long even Marin vanishes starts cracking off. I will take a look around for some of that liquid rubber thank you 🏴
Wat een prachtig hok! Is hier ook de tekening van te verkrijgen?
Hi, could you please tell me how you hold those separators in the laying boxes in place?
Great chicken coop.Could you can tell me what are a dimentions of this coop please? On etsy I can't find this informationa and also how many chicken can live in there
It's very prüfesional.

I've seen that done before, seems like a great idea! Thanks for watching
Great design. Do you have written plans that you can share?
Excellent job. Pure of mistake.
