I really am only in my tent when I’m sleeping. Unless I know there will be some weather and may be hanging out in the tent while it rains, I prefer to save weight with a 1p.

My Big Agnus tent is perfect. Weights 2 lbs/0.9 kg. Rolls up into a liter sized water bottle sized bag. I've been touring 9 months a year since 1982, this is the lightest tent I've had.

exactly that. They are great for long distance hiking where weight is very important because of carrying that pack weight over many days for weeks ect.
but... if your only going out for the weekend up a hill ( mountain ) with a drone, cooking nice meals and really relaxing, then a two man tent is perfect for that.

I think you've missed the point of the post fella. There isn't alot of weight differences really better a one or two man tent. Then there are 4 season tents which are heavier.

I hike long distances also weekend trips up mountains, so I know the areas the people struggle and it isn't 200/300 grames that do it.

I always use the equation 2 man tent 1 man and his equipment 4 man tent 2 men and their equipment with my tents over the years although after feeling lost and alone in my MSR Hubba Hubba NX2 (it's cavernous) I've decided to take the 1 man tent plunge for the first time with the durston x mid solid after seeing one in the flesh I think I'm going to be okay we'll see 😬😀👍
