Sophie Fiennes’s documentary “Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami” weaves together the layers of Grace Jones' public and private life, as she moves effortlessly between different facets. Taking us home to Jamaica and behind-the-scenes at shows all around the world, the film reveals Jones as lover, daughter, mother and businesswoman. But the stage is the fixed point to which the film returns, with eye-popping performances in the documentary of “Slave to the Rhythm,” “Pull Up to the Bumper,” “Love Is the Drug” and more.
This event is part of the 20th Anniversary TimesTalks Festival weekend, from April 13-15, 2018.

i've loved watching grace' s interviews since i first got into her music four years ago, but this has probably become my favourite - so full of life and fun and wisdom, and the fact that she gets ed sheeran's name wrong repeatedly is only one of the funniest moments in this interview lol

What they're not showing is the opening where Grace performed "Nightclubbing" and then jumped of like a 6 ft off the stairway, landed hard, and didn't get up for awhile. The audience thought she was either dead or severly injured.

The interviewer wants a boil-in-a-bag, hipster-millenial-quick-fix interview, with compartmentalized solutions and with a psychology 101 'eat pray love' approach. She wasn't ready for Grace!

The interview seems in and out with Grace Jones seeming broken up with jokes and awkward responses.
So basically it was a typical Grace Jones interview lol.
This documentary is 90 times better than Sophie Fiennes which was filmed with bad lighting and a very poorly constructed narrative.
