Rafa could have had at least 2 assists instead of 1 lucky goal. It required a complete howler from the Rennes keeper for that goal. Leao started dribbling into cul-de-sacs even before 2 minutes, and continued the rest of the match. By the last time he ran with the ball down the left *with 3 teammates to his right* they all of them actually stopped their runs because why bother there's no way he's going to pass.
Other players are developing chemistry with each other while Rafa passes to only one guy... Theo.
Obviously Rafa is brilliant. But until and unless he can become a great teammate he risks becoming another Aubameyang 😏

And if you're going to excuse Rafa for a physical reason then he REALLY frakkin should have been passing. But I don't buy that because when he wanted to run this game... when he had the ball and wanted to score... he was as fast as ever.

This rhetoric on Leao being selfish is so strange to me. For some of us who've watched him from Day 1, we know the guy is selfless to a fault and we want him to be wayy more selfish and take the game on. I hope the next time he does the exact same thing, except he must, must, bury his chance.

'Leao's individual brilliance' could have had AC Milan up by another 2 goals in the first half but his lack of being able to finish this season turned the game into a battle, a lot of people credit him for being able to drible past players and get into good positions but fail to credit the amount of chances he misses and the amount of times our midfield is dismanteled due to one of our midfielders needing to cover his flank in defense :) :')

We could blame the management for not getting a DM. However, not buying another CB as the season started wasn’t their faults. We had like 5 CB at the beginning (Tomori, Kalulu, Thiaw, Kjaer, and Pellegrino). Who would have known 4 of them got injured at the same time.
At the winter transfer We got Gabbia, and Terracieno to help for the defense, plus others CB about to come back soon and we still keep conceding goals. That defense problem must be on Pioli’s managing. There is nothing the management could do to fix in game individual mistakes but Pioli himself.

I am glad Leao scored for us, but I don’t think I can agree with a green box. This is a game where I’d say he produced a goal but his performance was not good by any means. For a player of Leaos caliber, if he is the player we think he should be and the player that you often say he is, then in my mind he needs to produce both good results (goals and assists) and good performances for the majority of the games he plays. Lots of times it seems like one or the other or neither but not both.
As for the chance he decided to shoot and not pass to Pulisic all I’ll say is this. I was not there on the field and I did not see what Leao saw; however, I saw in your other comments that you said you’d support him to make that same decision to shoot if he was put in the same situation again. I don’t think that makes sense. If you really want to team to win and not just Leao to thrive he should make the pass 9/10 times. If he is going to take that shot he HAS to make it if you have an open teammate with a clear path to goal like that.
All in all, glad we advanced! Frustrating we lost. Hope the boys can learn from the mistakes all across the field and win Europa league! It’s basically all I care about now this season for us. 😂

I mean he fought to keep Krunic in the summer and wanted him to be the 6 and then suddenly dropped him and we shipped him out. We also built the team for 433 where RLC and Reijnders would have been higher up the midfield and ended up playing again 4231 with every midfielder playing outside of their best position.

Sit them on the bench for the rest of the season after spending that cash on them?
Not even teams with more resources and money, like Real Madrid for example, who are having the same problem as us are spending money on defenders in order to cover the ones that are injured. It is an annoying problem, but we can only hope that Tomori, Thiaw and Kalulu are able to recover their forms fast enough and without issues. BOTH Leao and Pulisic are fantastic players and TRUE Milan fans love them BOTH them and want them BOTH to play well. People in this community need to GROW UP and stop choosing one side or the other. Back your players! All of them.

One of the best comments here. Milan have so many new, mostly American “fans” and most of them hate not just Leao, but the heart of our Scudetto-winning generation: Pioli, Giroud, Mike, Bennacer, -Krunic- , Calabria and even Theo.

@@andjelkozlotvor How was ACM last year? Needed Juve to have a 10 pt deduction to make the CL. So, please, don't give this poor Leao and how great ACM was 2 years ago. Even last year with Tonali they weren't that good. Sometimes those players you mentioned do not play very well. You think Calabria is a very good RB? I actually think Bennacer had a good game. Come on. It isn't just me who said Leao sucked last game; read Corriete della Serra's ratings. I think Leao has a ton of talent but he is wasteful and the team has to compensate too much around him- he doesn't play defense, I don't think his off the ball runs are very good (he doesn't like going into a crowded box), he loses the ball too much, and makes the game at times way to complex. He'll fit right in at PSG, the home of stars who constantly underperform as a team.
Regarding Pulisic, this has nothing to do with him, I will add that people have no idea how Pulisic is playing on the field. He is a combination winger and midfielder. How many times did Pulisic drop back to pick up the ball to relieve pressure and/or then carry it forward thru the lines? This takes him out of position to score but allows him to make passes to the forward players. That's why you often see him carrying the ball diagonally across the field and passing out wide to Leao. Sometimes Leao just sucks.

Offensively, at least 75% of the play is down the left side. With Leao's inefficiency the offense doesn't produce like it should. When you're playing these lower level teams you can get away with this crap play.

Leao has had a calf strain all year? Its really strange bc if he's been carrying an injury for this long why has he not received treatment? He really hasn't done any tricks or dribbling moves since the first few weeks, hes been 100% vertical but with half the speed and yet he can physically hold players off? It really doesn't make sense. I think he has a huge mental block right now, idk if he's depressed or what ever but the issues seem to be deeper than an injury. Needs a sports psychologist out there.

On many occasions, I have heard him contradict himself. He says, this and that doesn't matter when another player does something and then say it matters when leao does it. This dudes bias is like watching CNN talking about bidden. Absolutely won't tell the truth about him. He is good with all the other players. And kinda harsh on another. I disagree tbh, let's go through them, Tomori yes, Kalulu had a weak season last year and had injuries, Thiaw had one good season, Kjaer too old, Pellegrino too young. Imo I went into this season with 1.5 truly reliable CBs Tomori and Thiaw, the rest were always a question mark. And when you're competing in 3 competitions, 1.5 CBs are just not going to be enough.

He has everything to be the Buffon of his generation but the lack of loyalty and some poor choices made him to be what he is now. With that said, there's no question that Gigio is a much better GK than Mike!

Gianluigi has always been mistake-prone, unlike Magic Mike, but we used to tolerate his mistakes just because he was our child and because he was young, but he continues with mistakes in PSG as well. We’ve never been so patient with any GK like we used to be in case of Dollaruma. Mike is a monster and avant-garde GK. We should exploit his ball-playing ability much more. He’s the only GK in history with 3 assists in 3 consecutive seasons. He won both Serie A and Ligue 1 in a row with underdogs! That’s unreal achievement. He won Serie A, but Gigio hasn’t. He was officially the best goalie of the French league while Gigio wasn’t. I’m watching ACM for more than 30 years and I haven’t seen better GK in front of our goal.

But if i know milans management, we'll sell him to them. We almost never keep our players that go on loan. I just hope that atalanta dont want him fot some weird reason. Cdk has done waaaay more for atalanta than what jovic has done and we took jovic in his place. Bro im telling u, we need cdk back. He can play anywhere. It hurts me that i was right about cdk and that we chose to loan him out. Its q great choice only if our intent is to see if he gets better so we can keep him. But if i know milan we will sell him for about 30M and we wont even try to get more out of him.
