Is the RTX 4070 Ti faster than the RTX 3090 at 4k?

- I compare the RTX 4070 Ti to the RTX 3090 in resolution scaling. The 4070 Ti only has a 192-bit memory bus which is half of the 3090. How well does it compare to the 3090 across resolutions? How well will the 4070 Ti age with its small 192-bit Memory Bus?
And what else did I discover about the 4070 Ti at its target resolution that I have not heard anyone else talk about?

The power efficiency of the 4070ti is nice, but the VRAM 12GB is a huge concern if you're planning on 4K gaming, not just the 192bit memory bus. You'll probably end up lowering settings sooner than you think. I wouldn't have felt so negatively of the 4070ti if it wasn't priced so high. With its current MSRP, the VRAM should have been at least 16GB not 12. And the 4080 should have had 20GB
While watching this video, it's the exact thing that was running through my mind. Even at 1440p I would never buy a card under 16GB from now on. The rendering resolution isn't the only factor, game textures can simply be much higher quality and you could use the extra vram all the time.
Nvidia has superior memory compression that does on the fly---even without optimisation on game engine, since Kepler and has been improving.
I mean, how Nvdia managed to get away from 1-4GB between Kepler to Pascal?
Even AMD is playing catch up on that side.
Heck, wider memory bus = more complex design = more expensive card.
@@AlfaPro1337 superior to what? we're discussing purely Nvidia products here...
@@gara8142 Clearly your English is poor. Read and understand again.
I never reference AMD, only later, as AMD is playing catch up, the importance of having improving their memory controllers for on-the-fly compression.
@Gara superior too the only other consumer graphics card manufacturer in the world
Your reviews are really great. That effiency comparison is a great idea. 👍
Glad you like them!
Times like this are why I am glad I got back into emulation.
Nice!
Awesome video this. I could have guessed it be the case but the analysis you provide here just makes things clear and takes the guessing game out of the equation. wonderful work
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your previous video on the efficiency of the 4070Ti was what convinced me into getting one. I still hate the price but I'm not disappointed nor do I regret my purchase, especially since I play at 1440p and do a lot of 3D, so the improved RT performance is more than welcome.
As long as your happy that’s all that matters. People will upgrade sometime eventually anyway.
People like you enable nvidia to charge stupid prices
jusr wait for price drops
so you paid 800-900$ for a xx70 card that used to cost 400-500$ a few years ago? yikes
@@dariomladenovski7047 Cry more. The prices are never going back to previous years, better get used to it.
Im hoping the 4070 Super coming soon in January will offer near 4070ti performance levels for a 4070 price. Would be a nice bonus if they also make it 16gb Vram too.
great vid, ive been trying to choose between the 2.
amazing video !! looking forward to the next one :)
Thanks. Glad you liked it!
This card is the best 1440p card you could get, I have it and play games on my 240hz display. It's not a 4k card by any means! I returned my 4k 144hz monitor because playing 4k high refresh rate is so damn expensive.
You made the right move!
The bandwith difference is quite large, but otoh the 4070 Ti also has 48Mb L2 vs 6Mb L2 in the 3090, so that might help in keeping the performance difference as it is right now
The 4070ti is a 1440p GPU anyway. It’s also faster than the previous Ampere GPU’s in 1080p and alot more power efficient.
@@ZackSNetworkyes but basically 3090 performance in games as shown by other benchmarks run by hardware unboxed so the sumole answer is yes it's capable of playing all the current 4k games and will so for probably 2 years which is just fine.
For 1440p it's fine, the card is super quiet and cool.
@@MrDazTroyer at 1440p it beats a 3090 ti I found and at 4k it falls 5% behind still a good card just overpriced.
@@joewhite8079 There are no bad cards just bad prices which is basically every new gen nvidia or amd card but mostly nvidia. :) I would say the only "good" value as ridiculous as it sounds is the 4090 as it's really above anything else and nothing comes close to it at 4K especially.
is this testing (fps/power graph ) with raw hardware performance? without any software stuff enabled?
No DLSS or FSR was used in the making of this video.
What a perfect examples and explanations! Well done!
Many thanks!
What is that game you have running while talking about the 3090 being a power-pig?
Never seen it before, but looks interesting!
Ah, nevermind, mentioned a bit later.
I bought 3090 to play on 1080p display in 60fps. Why?
1. Quiet (coolers don't even rotating in half of the games)
2. It fits my power block 8+8 pin
3. Less power use = longer life (i hope)
4. Well I work with real time rendering, so sometimes I need those 82 RT cores😅
I play at 1080p/75Hz with a 3080 Ti but can relate to your reasons💯
less power use, LOL
Which one gives higher fps in games like pubg cs and there are no lags or freezes?
Definitely looking forward to the cpu bottleneck video as I have a 4070ti paired with a oc 10700k until I've the funds for an am5 board and cpu.
Driver will get better over time with the 4070ti, it is also way less power hungry and has better DLSS implementation.
Worrying about power, while gaming at 4k, is like worrying about fuel consumption while driving a Nissan Skyline.
Yea only a fool would think a outdated card is better
I’m new to pc gaming and need a gpu which one is good to get?😂
Despite nvidias decision to basically starve the 4070ti it’s genuinely a beast of a card no matter what people say. The numbers don’t lie. Sure it has less bandwidth and vram but it’s on new architecture and node and it trades blows with last years bad boy while using 100w less.
A lot of jealousy around
@@malazan6004 Yeah it amazing. Regardless of all the hate they get albeit somewhat deservingly, there's no denying they know what they are doing. Now they're back on TSMC it really shows how well they did with the 30 series on Samsung.

the limited bandwidth will reduce the performance of the card in future 8k games, whereas 3080 ti and 3090 will have a better fps gains.
@@yashwanthcb True but in that future even the 4070 ti will be a distant memory. Then there’s frame generation and whatever dlss version they’re promoting. Regardless the upcoming super refresh has the full bandwidth and extra ram so I guess 8k is looking good?

issue is vram its gonna kill it once new games come out and no longer care about old gen consoles
I don't understand if a game is CPU bottlenecked then why would having a different GPU give you noticeably more performance?? Shouldn't they be equal?
@Transistor Jump that's still confusing though because they still have the same CPU, and in GPU bottlenecked benchmarks the 3090 performs better, so why does the 3090 perform worse when not GPU bottlenecked?
why would you play with power limits on ampere when a mere undervolt can shave 100 watts on a 3090 without hitting performance?
Thank you for talking about this important issue. More people need to be made aware of this. I got a 7900xt instead of a 4070yi because of this reason.
I have a same dilemma - is the 7900xt better? Does it crash or lag?
@@ke1336 not so far for me, but it is day 4 for me
wait so the ryzne 9 5950x isnt a good enough cpu for 4070 ti i was going to get this card i have a Ryzen 9 7900x soooo should i just stick with my 3070 ti
5950X is more than enough, people used 3090s with it, are using 4090s now
4070 ti is slightly faster but less stable than the 3090 and not much of an upgrade on games with no DLSS support, which is why I stuck with the 3090, gonna hold out for 5000 series or rx 8000.
You made the right choice, the VRAM is going to really harm the 4070Ti as time goes on.
Newer and newer drivers showing its faster than the 3090ti often
@@malazan6004 Don't think so, it's not really future proof. In two years time I think the 3090 ti will still be more useful than a 4070 ti because of the Vram. If the 4070 ti had 16 Gb of Vram it would be a different story.
@@pinoynobody2329 At 4k. Most gamers game at 1440p anyway and the 4070ti will continue to outperform the 3090, especially with driver updates. VRAM won't be near as demanding there and by the time it is, everyone will be upgrading anyway.
@@bmx7596Nahhhh I'm playing in 4k oled , 3090>4070ti
At least from what you have shown, you just moved the power limit slider to "OC". You can get your 3090 Strix to at least 2100MHz using the same 480-500W limit with some VRAM OC. So basically getting 3090Ti performance.
Yes, I just moved the power slider to keep the comparison the same as I did with the 4070ti. To run this 3090 Strix at 480W, I would want to put a water block on it as the air cooler fans will run >90% after 15min of gaming. And you're right, that and the VRAM OC will get very close to the 3090ti.
You shouldn't lower power usage by lowering power limits but by undervolting. That way you can lower power usage while maintaining almost all performance, I have my 4070ti running around 220W at max (~200 average) with 2760MHz clock and 0.95v.
I'm pretty sure Nvidia knows about the shortcomings of the 4xxx series cards so they subsidized it with software. Frame Gen is only available on the newest generation and most videos say they can't feel the input lag. It would be a fair tradeoff if the prices weren't so high.
Nvidia should sell driver updates rather than new GPUs then.
@@bouncyhunta that's honestly not a bad idea. Unlock DLSS for GTX series cards for $50. Or frame Gen for 3xxx cards. I would buy it for my rtx 3080

Yea, I just picked one up in a new prebuilt. Im a console gamer and reading this and seeing people play demanding games like rdr2 for 4 straight hours on 4k ultra and not having issues was enough for me to get this cheaper rig. I can't wait to get my 4070 cause it looks to me like a decent 4k card.
@@drittzdo2972 you mean 4070 Ti? Yeah man I'm having a blast with it @4K. Just pump up the core clock and "especially" the memory clock and you'll have a blast with it 4K max settings, even with Raytracing in some cases.
@@ZiZo34344 yea 4070ti, i dont even know how to change the core clock or whatever. I havent been into computers like this since the early 2000s lmao
Yeah I also have a 4070Ti and Been playing games @4K no problem. It absolutely destroys my old 3070. The Problem in the PC Gamer space is the Goal Post's are always getting moved. I remember when people were saying the 2080 was a good 4K card. As for how long the 4070Ti holds up with maxed settings @ 4K for me is kinda of irrelevant because I have an understanding as somewhat of a PC Enthusiast and PC gamer there is no future proofing. New tech will come along in the next year or two and motivate me to upgrade again. I do agree with Reviewers and Commenters that the 4070Ti isn't the best value. It's not. But it's not a terrible product either IMO.
I am very satisfied with my 4070 TI, emphasizing this my personal opinion, but still this is a new generation of Nvidia and if you think about it, they have done very well, the dispute is more about which is the better/faster video card out of 4070 TI and 3090 things as clear as possible if you own both cards then you will be completely sure what it is about
Today bought used 3090 for 4070 price and its loud as hell 😮...will think about custom WC later 😢
I'm waiting for the next gen CPU to see if the CPU bottleneck decreases and what will happen to the fps
I hate how stingy Nvidia are with the vram in their gpu's.
They want you buying every 2 years
@@Icureditwithmybrain True
Aggressive product segmentation is why. Now, after the first meaningful increase in VRAM since Pascal, they're gimping memory bus width :(
Still picked up a 3090 (EVGA XC3) as it won’t run into vram issues as soon, beefy bit bus, and this model will actually fit in my case haha
I just got this too but my goodness does it run hot, my room goes up by degrees after an hour or two of gaming.
I have a EVGA FTW3 3090, absolutely love the card and it was definitely a better value vs the 4070 and 4070TI
Yeah I hate that tech youtubers were dogging down on the 4070Ti at launch of course it's gonna not perform as well but they were saying "don't buy it" what they should of been saying is "don't buy it yet!" As the drivers improved and they optimised things on the software side the 4070 Ti is very much a 4K card don't let anyone tell you it's a 2K card that's complete bull... also that was the FE that sucked the one i'm going for is the best performance one from what I've heard, So tomorrow is my payday i'm buying the ROG Strix 4070Ti OC Edition which is apparently the best version of the 4070Ti in benchmarks and technically the 4070Ti may suck in comparison to the top amd or the 4080 and 4090 but that still makes it the 4th Best GPU in the gaming market arguably tied with the 3090Ti as some games it performs better and some games it performs worse!
...and I'd still argue to buy a 4070Ti rog strix over a 3090 because their cooling is far superior to the 3090 which was notoriously hot, not to mention AV1 encoding but heres the catch 22 if your wanting to play 2k resolution then get a 3080(cap your fps if your playing diablo for safety) you will barely scratch 50% utlization in alot of games at 2k resolution especially games like lost ark the gpu barely knows it's there... you'd be wasting money on a gpu you don't need unless you plan to upgrade to a 4k monitor which aren't exactly cheap these days I got lucky in 2018 and got one for £179.99 nowadays your looking at over 235 at least!
If your just gaming I don't think I could totally reccomend it for the price it's at, i'm getting one because on my alt channel I am a content creator (this is just my watching vids ac) as a content creator there is multiple benefits since i'm upgrading from an old gpu the RX580 2048sp which is another factor to consider don't buy it if you got a 3070ti your fine wait till this one goes down in price, however if your a content creator getting one you could probably start a second build with the gpu as it's center which is what i'm doinf for now I'm putting it in with a 5600x and an a520m-k prime motherboard and those combined with my other components are gonna bottleneck the 4070TI OC by 13% (any bottleneck under 5% is negligible). also keep in mind the GPU I'm getting requires 750W PSU I've gone with a 1000w rog 80+ gold PSU I got it for £175 a year ago to give me overhead for the future!
But next year i'm getting an AM5 x670 gaming wi-fi and a Ryzen 7 7700X with some 6000mhz DDR5 RAM and a rog NVME i'll probably be putting this all in a ROG helios case I get in August it takes me a long time since I'm a starting content creator I don't make money so I save up what I do get off the government as investment into these parts to make a career with the use of this hardware so i'm doing this for very different reasons compared to a typical gamer who just doing it for fun!
So it's a good investment for start up content creators if you save £80 a fortnight for the next 6 months you could afford it though it will prob drop in price by then I was saving 40 up until late December so it might be quicker than 6 months i've been saving since early November time I upped it to 40 using 20 off each week of food and drink money which I can manage if I budget my groceries don't do this if you can't afford that!
the 3070Ti wouldn't of made me happy I had a bad gut feeling and mine are usually never wrong the last time I didn't listen to my gut feeling the domino effect it had gave me health conditions and dietary restrictions that have lasted since 2014 it changed my life for the past 9 years mostly for the worst! had I got the 3070ti it wouldn't of allowed me the 4k experience I wanted either, so I looked at my other options and the 4070ti had just come out and I had a good gut feeling about it this too will change my life and I had to wait the extra months from january to afford it but in the long term it's cheaper cause I wont need to upgrade as soon as I would with the 3070ti which prob would of cost me double long term!
but it provides features as a creator the 3070ti just simply doesn't have since I can do a lower bit rate on AV1 it means I can record 4k without it limiting my performance as much as it would on more standard encoding formats as the gpu is literally designed for it!
another benefit to consider is when I go back to streaming I can use all the parts in my old rig to be a streaming pc for yt or twitch so if a game crashes the pc it doesn't stop the stream and I won't have obs streams hogging my performance!
also I like playing badly optimised alphas with my current gpu the RX580 2048sp I can only run star citizen at 1080p getting anywhere between 18-30fps which sucks especially on a 28" 4k monitor as the image is stretched, using the games official website graphs I found people who had my same 5600x with a 4070Ti could run it anywhere from 40fps to 53fps in 4K depending on the version of the 4070ti they had... which is at least playable in 4k unlike my old build so I'll take it and as they implement server meshing more that's bound to improve the gameplay has stablized with the first iteration as despite the fps saying I got betwen 18fps and 30 it didn't feel like it they seemed to have fixed microstutters in new babbage!
yes they got an issue with login verification so alot couldn't get in because they'd never been tested to have so many try to join the game at once but that's nothing to do with the game server meshing it's getting to the games main menu that is the issue as theres a 19k error PTU hasn't had enough testers recently because they suck at ptu incentives... so when 3.18 came to the live test there was well in the millions of players who wanted to play and the login verification server began crapping itself along with the support server for bug reports as everyone started doing support tickets it that web page server began to buckle too!
that aside for those who got in there was some purchasing issues a re-occuring flight stick and controller issue that I keep getting that no one else does where when you fly in 3rd person it thinks the deadzones are controls for the free cam which makes flying 3rd person almost impossible on anything with a stick! but other than that object persistence is working VOIP, FOIP (face tracking) and other things were working far better than they had!
Object persistence means anything you drop on the floor stays there including ship debris that can be salvaged with the hull scraper tool or the vulture salvaging ship, people littered their bottles everwhere in the new babbage space port littering should have a fine, maybe i'll suggest it to the devs it makes sense in a future society... so I grab each bottle slowly filling up the recycling bin with bottles like you would in real life object permanence is both a horrible and wonderful thing, and it's a must first step in server meshing!
even though i'll probably be stuck with kb/m for now till they fix the deadzone 3rd person camera glitch i will be still playing I gotta re-learn landing ships with the keyboard and mouse which I haven't done much since 2.6 at least! (I joined in 2.4.1 so i've been around a while)
Got it for 1440p , G7 oddessey 240hz..perfect.
I figured the gpu's would be bottlenecked by the cpu because I've upgraded from zen 2 to zen 3, and then to a 5800x3d. Gpu's are faster than cpu's nowadays and nvidia's driver overhead just makes things worse. I figured by now that nvidia would stop doing gpu scheduling on the cpu, but I figured wrong.
That is a really good point on nvidia's driver overhead.
Sounds like they have about an equal cost over time when you factor in power consumption.
I'm very skeptical of value calculations that include long term power consumption. As I see it moster computer would consume 1000W (which is insane, a high end in my experience rarely goes over 650-700W avg). And that is like half of what my fridge is, and if we count every other appliance the computer will most likely be a very very small factor in terms of overall cost.
Without even mentioning the disparity of electricity costs around the globe...
Used RTX 3090 with a neat undervolt is a nobrainer.

Great analysis, thank you for the video. I purchased the 4070 ti for 4k gaming understanding that dlss and frame generation technologies will provide me high fps at ultra settings. However, the limited vram of 12 gigabytes will eventually force me to upgrade sooner rather than later. AMD is just as responsible for this current mess we are in by not offering competitive alternatives.
Thanks for sharing. I had a great time with the 4070 ti and was really impressed. I ultimately kept the 3090 due to the VRAM. As long as people go in understanding the limited VRAM going forward, the 4070 ti performs really well today.
4070 Ti is down scaled too much. With only 12 gb of ram and the meager 192 bit memory bus, it's comical to think this investment for a GPU will be good in 2-3 years. How was this the original 4080 with these specs ? My 6950 out performs the 4070 just as the 3090. Just not power efficient the same as a 3090. Sorry. Most viewers won't watch videos that get too long.
One very important factor not considered in this review. That is the *incredibly fast growth of A.I. technology.*
1. Nobody plays at 4k Native. Even tech reviewers consider DLSS Quality as Native. So the realistic benchmark of the *latest generation titles is actually set at 1440P.*
2. DLSS blurs the lines between hardware benchmarks in terms of practical experience. Consider this. Nvidia had a recent update on DLSS2 that levels up every setting by 1.
Ulta Performance ( 720P ) looks like performance. Performance looks like Balance, and so on.
3. Frame Generation - All eyes are on AMD to deliver on their FSR3 once again. If they fail to make FG available for everyone, that means :
- The 4000 cards would not have a different experience than someone who plays at Native Res using the 3090 ti, leaving space because of upscaling, and no stutters. Also, the frame generation would be the equalizer to all the performance woes. It gives access to settings that are not even available to the 3090 ti for an enjoyable experience.
4. This A.I. Technology is no joke. Don't underestimate them. For a practical example, I own a 4070 ti. Here's my experience.
- Cyberpunk. 4k + Balance Upscaling + Psycho settings at 50-60FPS. Lower power consumption. Smoother playing experience. I am having a better experience than someone with a 3090. This setting may not even be playable for that card.
- 60-70ms latency even if you start at 30+ fps base frame rate ( for FG ). This is the latest console experience btw. Perfect for single-player gaming. Graphical glitches have been fixed as well unless you want to slow down everything at 10% with 2x zoom to be nitpicky.
That's practically speaking.

Depending on the game, my 4080 driven by my 5900x can reach 99% usage at 1440p. Witcher 3 next gen is a good example with RT and other bells and whistles turned on. Also pushed it hard in the new RE4make demo. I wonder if that Shadow of the Tomb Raider bench is a bit of an outlier or it just really doesn't tax the GPU very much at that res.

Since I got the setup been adding to collection from 2010 2023 mostly play 2019 on, 90 + game at 1440P 165Hz 27 inch 3090RTX Gaming OC has done better than all sli and single past cards I have in holding strong at 1440P
One game 90 - 120 fps max setting a 2016 game Watch Dog 2 smooth still
2 max setting under 100 fps Cyberpunk 2077 RDR 2
3 or 4 games 90 -130+ smoothly .yes been pleased a lot with 3090RTX my last 2 hames Resident Evil Village 140 160 fps max 1440P and Uncharted 4 remastered 2022 140 160fpd
About the CPU bottleneck issue you bring up, I am having to get a 7800X3D to get my smooth 4K 120hz out of my 7900XTX. Wish it was out already. All the PVP FPS games I play are CPU bottlenecking me and benefit a lot from 3D Vcache.
wait why you have only 4gb vram on 4070 ti it shows it in unigine heaven
4070ti is perfect for 2560-1440p and 3440-1440p tho just only approx 60fps at 4k
You have to restest with Intel CPU SOTR. This 58% GPU bound in 1440p is not normal. Guess it's a AMD driver bug.
its about the settings you select in games.
i hv i7 12700 and rtx 3070 .
i get the same 58% when i play at high settings 1440p 144hz .
when i play at ultra i get less fps and high GPU bound %age.
The answer is no in most games but in 1440P the Answer is yes..
Very nice always detailed, and i highly believe your reviews are genuine bc i’ve seen you trash the xtx announcement while everyone nerding out on it. I’ve seen you trash this gpu at first but compliment the power efficiency.
I really wanted to play 4k but i didn’t want to spend more than the 4070 ti. I am coming from a rx 5700, really wanted a high end gpu for the first time. Very nice review but now i am thinking twice if maybe i should just sell this second hand and maybe lose 50-100 bux now and buy something better but a lot later.
Hope someone can advice or somehow cheer me up lol. Thanks for the review, keep em honest reviews coming!
In my experience the second hand market is a god send. Got a 6800xt for $450 a few months back and I'm playing on getting a 3090 because I need the VRAM, and it's not uncommon to find it at around $700 so I guess with a bit of patience u can get one for ~$650
Personally I dont buy the "fear" of the second hand market, at least in GPUs, since at the end of the day the use one can give to a GPU is very limited, not much can change from a new one to an used one. Just my two cents tho!
I wanted to buy the 4070ti so bad, why does it have to come with 12gb VRAM FFS.
Such a bad conclusions. Hope you understood it months later. Completely missed huge L2 Cache and New Gen Tensor Cores for faster DLSS.
Always pick the newer gen with updated tech
Wait until that 4070Ti runs out of VRAM, then your 3090 will just laugh, while keeping a decent enough fps.
Exactly. It will age like milk kept out of the fridge on a warm summer day. It's great for now but in 2-3 max it will be unusable due to VRAM issues
Can also undervolt the 3090 to make it much better
Блин , а я только решил поменять 3090 на 4070ti для 1440p, надоели большие температуры, а с такой шиной как у 4070 ti , как бы она в тыкву не превратилась
4070 ti is daylight robbery
192bit bus 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I play DCS VR, 3090 FTW be it unstable unless you use Boost Lock 🔐
God there is some cobblers on this thread, from people who just cant enjoy games anymore. The 4070 TI is a great card and will still be rocking in three years time.
I mean I can enjoy games and also criticise a product that I play them with. For a card that performs similarly to a 3090 its quite disappointing to see 12gb vram as it can limit your settings now and in the future.
I do agree that the vram criticism has turned into a bit of a bandwagon but as a customer the worst thing you can do is accept stagnation. I would personally rather the whole thing to be blown out of proportion because firstly it means the average consumer is getting educated on the impact of vram and I as a consumer would benefit from this directly if either amd or nvidia succumbs to the demand in vram and the pressure of setting a more competitive price. The party that stems to lose from this would be the the said gpu manufacturers and their already absurd profit margins but youre not trying to defend a company, are you?
3090 vs 4070ti vs 3080ti
You consider only "fair play" comparison and completely missing 4070ti's dirty trick - DLSS 3, which just blows away even 3090ti in any resolution, even 8k
🤡
DLSS 3 is a gimmick that's only going to work over the short term. The card is still neutered by 12GB of VRAM and it's tiny 192 bit bus
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv did you heard something about coming textures neurocompression? This will make 12 GB overkill for 1440p
you are putting too much effort into understanding bandwidth etc. specs are not all that meaning full.. my 4080 has less bandwidth so is it slower then the 3090... as technology improves a newer midrange card will eventually surpass a older high-end model. look at the old titan cards that were outrageous now they get stomped on by like 200$ card.. these midrange cards are fillers, they build the high-end cards then fill the gap using lower end Gpus that use the same newer technology. they are simply not putting all their eggs in one basket..3090 was a high-end model and now a newer midrange is catching up, it is simply history repeating it self..
ti sei sbagliato la 4070 12 g non va di piu della 3090 strix oc 24 g specialmente in 4 k arifallo il benc...
The 7900s are better price to performance.. 7900 XT is cheaper than even the 4070 in Aus. Nvidia is not worth it unless you want ray-tracing for some stupid reason, when Unreal Engine is doing it better and can be used on any card
I remember hating the fact that I couldn't find a 3080 in stock, two and a half years ago, and being forced to cough up for the only high end card available - the 3090 FE - but It paid for itself twice over mining ethereum when I wasn't gaming. So, now I have a "free" 3090 that will likely game comfortably for another couple of years.
I wish I could claim this was a savvy investment at the time, but it was just pure dumb luck. Not complaining at all though.
Do i look smug? I feel smug.
from what ive seen, 4070ti gets more frames (50-60 frames) but it is studdery. but with a 3090 (40 frames) it is lower frames and smooth.
i dont know bro
i use a 4070ti ultra settings on bf2042 - 128 people and its butter smooth
resolution is 3440x1440
@@starofeden9277 talking more like 4k cyberpunk. xD
6950 XT - 3% less performance, 25% more VRAM, 25% less $$ than 4070TI
7900 XT - 7% more performance, 40% more VRAM, 3% less $$ than 4070TI
Ummmmm
Accept all new games that matter will have frame generation, doubling that FPS. Literally being added to Unreal 5 kit. We alreadyt see it being added now to most new titles.
3090?
yep, stuck down at the buttom.
Do not buy a 3000 anything over a 4000. It's stupid.
its the same situation when 1080ti was around and rtx2080 came out .. in the end if u want to enjoy a game the 1080ti wins way ahead . same goes to rtx3090 will be better than 4070ti crap
Don't think noticeable discounts will happen until 2024. Nvidia is making way to much money!
Yes, they have no need to offer discounts. They have shown they would rather make less GPUs and keep the average sales price or ASP higher.
Decided to buy a 3090 over 4070ti before this video. Just happy I chose correct!
half the bandwidth is just absolute stupidity. 40 series is complete overpriced dogshit besides 4090 and I don't want one of those ugly ogres in my case unless it was watercooled or something
The 4090 Asus Strix white looks amazing. All the other cards look ugly though.
@@ZackSNetwork honestly I’ve always loved the strix cards. My current is even a 3090 Strix oc that’s overclocked higher than even a 3090ti Strix oc, it’s a lottery winner for sure especially considering it’s still using the stock air cooler while the Ti is watercooled. Anyways I’ve always loved the look and perf of strix cards but even the 4090 ones had me laughing my ass off when I saw them, Asus putting them in a itx mobo with it falling out of the pcie slot over and over didn’t help either lol. Also Nvidia has really made it so custom cards barely even benefit over founders this time around. I can’t blame Asus cause Nvidia didn’t even tell them anything until consumers found out stuff and even then Nvidia gave them and other AIB false information so they didn’t really have time to innovate, perfect, or cost cut. I love Nvidia hardware but their blatant greed and lack of care of their own distributors and consumers while trying to drain them dry has me fed up. Nvidia has gotten pretty lazy too and just been bruteforcing performance then Nvidia takes a piss poor technology that tv makers have been barely utilizing for many reasons then making it be controlled by AI cores then use it as a gimmick selling point to try and justify the ridiculous prices (also while controlling and limiting the market of top end 30 series cards besides tiny tiny flash sales so it forces retail prices which in turn forces used market prices to rise too so 30 series cards are at stupid prices to also make people justify 40 series). This generation has been especially disgusting.
Another scam from Team Jensen. They’re trying so hard to sell 4080s
The problem is that RTX 4070 Ti can't even give me a solid 60 FPS gaming experience on 1440p in modern games. Who cares about 4K on this GPU? I can't even play Witcher 3 with raytracing on maximum settings. This product is simply too weak for my needs.
Furthermore, there is always AMD for 4K. Don't be a fanboy and you won't be forced to pay up for 4K gaming from an Greedvidia.
That is not true at all? it will give you stable 60 fps in basically any game today on ultra settings. witcher 3 is a really bad example...
@@ImAnOcean This is completely true. I just wrote this after watching RTX 4070 Ti benchmarks.
@@ImAnOcean the fact that nvidia fanboys so proud of ray tracing but the card itself is struggling with it is just a clown fest
@@REgamesplayer which benchmarks did you watch that show that the 4070ti is struggeling with 1440 games? this card can play hogwarts legacy, god of war,rdr2 nativ 4k on ultra settings with 60 fps but it cant do that on 2k? :D even cyberpunk has over 90 fps
@@mkz7063 the fact that some hate boys on the internet are soo angry at a video game card that the throw all objectivity out of the window. topkek
4070 ti is for costumers that want a 3000 series card but want to pay slightly more
Thanks for the video, however, u dont need to wait for the future in gaming to see how handicapped the 4070ti is. Check hogwarts legacy in 4k on the 4070ti. It's a stuttery mess.
God of war 2018 and ragnarok are shit games, play the originals for actual fun, challenging gameplay and great story
Getting a 4070ti versus a used 3090 ti at a better price, is a little dumb. The 4070ti only has 12 gb vram and half the bit bus of a 3090. So in my opinion, the 3090 is the better card.
Months later 16gb ver of the 4070ti came and runs games better then a outdated monster 3090
So the 4070Ti is a ripoff for 4k your paying alot of money for a 1440p card and it's not going to age well 🤔 wow nvidia you are rip-offs and lie in your presentations.
3080 ti is far better gpu than 4070ti with that 192bit bus. i have gotten around 3~6 fps difference between a good tuned 3080 ti pc and 4080
Fake frames....
People act like we shouldn't use DLSS. FREE frames i dont see the problem. If ima gain 30+ frames ima use it.
To not use it would be lol
3090 has 936.2 GB/s of vram while 4070Ti has only 504 GB/s of vram, so 3090 is a lot faster in some situations
I genuinely think you need to take the price into account no matter the price problems lately. 180 extra watts is not a good argument to combat the 3090 over the 4070 ti because that really is just pennis for whoever can affor either gpu. Maybe in the future when a top gpu is 899$ maximum we can have that argument but now its a little bit silly imo
👍👍👍👍
Its crazy that my laptop is as powerful as these two gpu's
