Real talk, I wanna give some applause to the pit orchestra, the set crew, the lights team, the props team, the costume and makeup team, and the extras. They put so much effort into making the show great and get like no credit

Extras are a film term. Ensemble is the correct term. Extras on sets don’t do nearly as much as ensemble members in most cases. I’ve never worked as hard on set as I have on stage. But even then, most companies I’ve worked with have started to use the term background actor because they feel “extras” is derogatory.

I’ve seen a lot of comparisons between Heather Chandler and Regina George and even though they are very similar they get what they want through very different ways. Heather is much more aggressive and is more likely to fight or confront you directly. Regina is much sneakier and more manipulative, using gossip and underhanded tactics. One uses brute strength, the other uses mind games. To beat heather you need to throw the stronger punch, to beat Regina you need to become the manipulator. They are both wonderful queen bees who I believe would be fantastic fake friends 😋
Because they both want to be on top so badly i would think it would be more likely to start a high school WW3 rather than them being fake friends lol
I’ve seen a lot of Gretchen vs Duke and a lot of people say that they are both second in command, self conscious, and are always shot down by their “leader.” The thing is, Duke is cold and power hungry. Gretchen is more of a combination of Mac and Duke. She is self conscious like both of them, but she kind and was only mean cause of her “leader” like Mac.

Keep practicing breath control, and you'll be able to sing without losing much breath! Try looking for videos about belting and breath control so you can have an easier time in singing.

She didn't dance much or sing much in the show, and the one song she DID have for herself (someone gets hurt reprise), she didn't do as well as most people would have done, cuz she's not extraordinary in belting (she's good, great even,but she just wasn't good enough)

Also no, because Ashley Park was nominated as well, for best featured actress, and her part is just as big as Barrett’s, there was talk that because of Barrett’s role (Janis) as an “unconventional” girl, she was snubbed a nomination. Because of her signature song “I’d Rather Be Me” (which is a solo you SOMEHOW seemed to have not noticed the first time you heard the soundtrack) she flips of the patriarchy and such, and I guess they didn’t want to reward that type of character. And before you say I’m making everything about feminism, you can go and look up what Barrett said about it herself, because I got this from her lol

I was friend with the "apex predator" of my high school, she was the most vulnerable person I known. I never saw her hurt anybody but everybody was saying that she was the beautiful and mean girl of the school. She was suffering from all the rumors spreading about her and well, she was friend with me, a "little greasy nobody" and she was really kind to me even if I wasn't the kind of girl who can be popular. Some of her friends were awfull but she never took their sides :(

I saw this on Broadway recently and I knew absolutely nothing about Mean Girls. I didn't know the music or the story. I purposefully avoided everything Mean Girls when I found out I was seeing it.
I heard one of the songs sorta on the Tony's and I flat out sprinted downstairs because I heard Barret's voice.
First off, Erika is the sweetest person ever and was a joy to meet and talk with. They had her mic turned down for this song, but dude she did so good the whole show.
But Barrett. It's one thing to hear her in a recording studio or on a track, but man is it different live. She's a powerhouse and I got chills every time she opened her mouth to sing.
It was a really good show, and I'd see it again probably.
