NorthWest Model 6 Dragline + CAT D7 - National Pike Show, Brownsville PA, May 2022

This NorthWest 6 has the earlier "Feather Touch" mechanical servo controls, which use bands engaging small servo drums to engage the main clutches. When adjusted correctly, they reduce operator workload significantly. These were later supplanted by air controls.

This was a pleasant surprise to find on my laptop this morning while having my coffee. Thank you. It seems like NW's were fairly prevalent in this area: there are two more Model 6 front shovels behind this dragline besides the 41, 25's, 80-D's and the 180-D. I still enjoy watching the Cat D7 with the FLECO canopy: brings back a lot of memories. Thanks again for taking the time to record and share this with your subscribers.
