They won't let us do it ourselves anymore. Used to get tiny family cemetaries or a crypt on property connected to house. In San Dimas, Ca there is one connected to the San Dimas Mansion. It's on the right tiny pool room in pool room in the back side of it. There is a plaque up of who is buried in the crypt. So build a crypt and you can have it your way at your house. Not me. i'll take the ashes in an urn so they can locate me. To each his own.

You can legally acquire a dead body, you must report a death, what the deceased or person in authority of the deceased chooses to do with the body afterwards is no one’s business.
There’s a body farm in Tennessee you could donate your body to, you could choose to be buried underneath your garden, the family members could be owing the funeral home.

No one is saying it isn't wrong. The point is that Colorado doesn't have specific laws prohibiting this, so there's no basis for prosecution. Stalking was not illegal until laws were written to address it. Interracial marriage was illegal until those laws were removed from the books. If law does not evolve with society, we all suffer. The internet and in vitro fertilization are just two examples where new laws had to be written to address new situations. Harvesting and selling body parts is distasteful, but you can't prosecute based on feelings and emotions, only statutes.

It's happening more often, too, for some reason. Not this large scale but 10 here, 20 there. In 2022, there were several businesses that were caught just simply only embalming and not burying or very poorly burying and not embalming bodies. It's pretty messed up because these funeral homes were likely making more than enough to correctly bury the corpses, especially on the backend on the pandemic.

I use “Bing”,& all’s you need to type in is “Bodies found at”,& you’ll have Many choices to tap on, whether they’re rotting bodies found, babies stuffed in attic spaces, stacks of multiple occupied coffins found-it’s Beyond the Imaginations of even Criminals!!! It Won’t change if We The People, remain ignorant And Silent, so educate yourself & Demand Tough Laws & Regulations!!! Abuse has been going on for Centuries,& has progressed Far beyond what once was just Grave Robbers making monies digging people up for medical schools.

When you donate your body to science, they usually harvest tissue like tendons, bones etc....and sell them to medical companies that will sterilize them and sell them back to put in patients. The irony is that your gift is free, yet many people make a lot of money from it. When patients need either , these tendons or, processed veins, they get charged a very high price. It becomes an exploitation, like when we give blood. You may get a cookie while the lab does a couple of quick and simple tests, storing it, until needed . The recipient will get charged a lot for a unit of blood. The lab makes money and the hospital makes money. You got a cookie and maybe a glass of juice. Somehow, it does not seem fair. I considered giving my bod to science but changed my mind. I will have a simple cremation and they can keep the ashes......for their gardening.....

A body starts decomposing the moment a person dies. In about two weeks without refrigeration a body putrefies and basically turns to mush. There may not be much in the way of crimes in handling the bodies, but there should be major crimes in mishandling the money. The funeral home owners probably had other personal debts that they thought should take priority for a period oaf time, then it all snowballed.

Decomposition is nasty and smells bad. In a shallow grave, a body can decompose pretty fast, but in the open, it stinks. Not sure how good that fertilizer is......not for my organic vegetables !!! NO way ! Maybe for trees.....bushes.......

Body parts that will be sold have to come from a refrigerated body, that has been given to science. These parts are used in operating rooms for certain repairs, like veins, tendons and bones. It gets harvested , put in small containers and sold to labs who will sterilize them and sell them to hospitals. There is a lot of money to be made, handling tissues. For years, surgical residents would go to funeral homes, to harvest the corneas of dead people. It was done, without a permission from the families. No one knew but we never had a shortage of corneas for these corneal transplants. The eyes were glued shut, so family members could not try to open them. It got discovered a few ago and now, morticians will ask families if they can harvest corneas. It had been done......without permission for many years. Not exactly ethical !

That place wasn't there when I was there 5 years ago. But I know it's a small enough town that media wouldn't even draw a lot of attention. This just seems like a scapegoat scenario.

If you have any sense about yourself, having nearly 190 deceased individuals located in one area, is absolute proof !
Furthermore, situations such as this make it clear that the funeral industry needs to be regulated across the nation. Laws and regulations should be standardized as well.

People were going to funerals there and did not smell the 100 other bodies? Where were they being kept? The place looks small. How could so many families not know they were not geting a funeral?
