  • Don't really get to weld carbon steel as much, so for this episode we are going to do something special. We are running a low hydrogen rod called "KOBE" rod made by Kobelco, a Japanese company. Hope this helps someone out there. Thank you guys for yalls time. Share this video with your friends. Let me know what yall think. Peace

6013 and 7016 are, without a doubt, used worldwide. Most countries would use E6013 with cellulose for root pass. Their E6013s have a better formula than my first titania rod which was nothing like that 75/25 mix for MIG welders.
Yes, pure titania like straight argon MIG can't weld everything.

7016 and modern 6013s definitely make more sense for every position. 7010 and 8010 are for pipelines only. I'm part plate welder by the way. The toughest thing I ever welded was sheet.

@@VantageWelding yeah I like them rods for farmer fixes they put a lot of iron down in one go so it's super nice for filling in holes and big gaps. Is kobleco any good? Never tried them before

@@johndowe7003 man I would of never thought of using this rod like that but it makes sense. Would be a much better choice than 6010 to fill in gap for strength purposes

You can cheat when it isn't anything serious and flyyyyyy through a weld with 7024 on the rollout wheel.
